This is a website for an upscale private tutoring company (Standardized tests and high school subjects) located in NYC. I am interested in a clean, streamlined aesthetic that is simple and aesthetically pleasing but also very professional. Ideally I’d like to use flash (pages coming up smoothly without the entire browser reloading), moving images, and a title page that loads before having the option to navigate to the website. I would also need the capability to access the site for editing/updat…

Compare Nyc To La …

March 22nd, 2009 No comments

If you know the difference between tossing words on a page and writing, please read on.

Small, poverty-stricken web site needs top writer for small project. The project involves writing a next-to-last draft, on an assigned topic. The length, of the draft runs from 1500-to-2000 words. Payment is two-to-four cents a word. Pay rate agreed on before you start. Full payment placed in escrow and released on acceptance of your work.

If you lived, as an adult, in both New York City and Los Angeles, this project is a breeze. If you visited both cities, often, as an adult, the project may interest you. If you haven’t visited both cities, as an adult, it’s unlikely you can satisfactorily complete this project.

The project is to write a next-to-last draft of an article comparing the lifestyle of New York City and Los Angeles. The comparison must include the attitudes, interests and opinions, in a general sense, of those who live in both cities, for example, New Yorkers are in your face, but in LA people are laid back. Integration, of the good and the bad, the upside and the downside, of each city is necessary, too.

Yet, don’t forget this is a brief, general overview of the cities. Excruciating detail is unnecessary. The reader needs enough information to conclude the cities are different for a variety of reasons.

The project is part of a larger posting. Until the full posting is complete, the final form, of this project, won’t take shape. Ergo, it’s a next-to-last draft.

Although the project is a draft, grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence formation must be A++. Familiarity with the AP Style Book is helpful. If English, the US or Canadian version, is not your first language, you’ll likely miss many nuances implicit in the argot of the cities.

You must write, effectively, in short sentences. Each sentence contains one idea. Paragraphs involve three sentences: statement of fact, evidence or supporting argument and a conclusion.

The deadline, for submitting an acceptable next-to-last draft, is 4 days after awarding you the project.

In addition to payment, your credit takes the form of a thank you, at the end of the posting, and, if you wish, a
