Free Lottery Site 2

October 17th, 2011 Comments off

This will be a free lottery website supported by ads. I will need room on the top and sides for banner ads. Visitors can come to the website and create a free account. In their account area they can see the previous tickets they have played (just a basic account area nothing fancy) They will be allowed to play one ticket per day however one draw will be held every Friday night. When the user plays a ticket they will receive an automated email showing their number selections and will confirm the date of the draw (this will also be in their personal account area). When the user plays his ticket the info will be sent to a database. Because I’m expecting a very high traffic amount I will need an interface on my back end that will simply allow me to enter the number results after the draw and will show me who has matched numbers (in order of most numbers matched to least numbers matched). I will manually send a payment if someone wins a prize. Odds of winning is 1 in 11,000,000.

It’s as simple as that! We can copy another site to make the design aspect straight forward and simple. You can use this site as a guideline www.guesslotto.com

Notice the number selector here –>> http://www.thelotter.com/Play.aspx?pageId=8&BigSmart=1&Player=0 the number selector should work similar to this one but will NOT require the same features. You can choose numbers from 1-49. User will have the option to choose his own numbers or use the quick pick option. My number selector should be a much simpler design.

I want to use the same color scheme as the OLG http://www.olg.ca/lotteries/index.jsp

Let me know if you have any questions!

Simple Timer Countdown

October 17th, 2011 Comments off

Simple countdown script – modifiable – sesson/cookie based.

A user visits our page and it says something along the lines of “Today only! $10 Off!” Then “Sale Ends: “
Timer Placed Here (1 Hour, 22 Minutes, 59 Seconds, 10 Milliseconds)

Time/Date format should be modifiable.

1) If we want to change from 1 hour and 22 minutes, to just 22 minutes, it should not display the hour section at all.

Good: ( 22 Minutes, 59 Seconds, 10 Milliseconds )
Bad: (0 Hour, 22 Minutes, 59 Seconds, 10 Milliseconds)

2) Different time display mods. Example:

( 22 Minutes, 59 Seconds, 10 Milliseconds )
( 22:59:10 )
( 22:59) (Doesn’t show milliseconds if that’s what we select)

3) Colors for numbers and background.

Example:

Red numbers, white background
Red numbers, black background
Black numbers, white background
etc

Session/Cookie based:

1 user comes to site, sees timer counting down from say for example 22 minutes. Comes back 10 minutes later, times should now be at 12 minutes.

If timer gets to 0, when the user comes back, it should disappear.

Different styling examples:
http://www.littlewebthings.com/projects/countdown/example/?style=light
http://www.littlewebthings.com/projects/countdown/example/

More simple ones with basic font/text will also work.

Also note we’re running on WordPress – so not sure exactly how to insert it into pages….

Magento Expert Needed To Add 2 Features To Existing Website

October 7th, 2011 Comments off

I have a Magento site with a Groupon type “Group Deals” Extension added! Right now the design is set up to send a voucher/coupon out to all buyer once the time has expired and deal is done via email with a PDF attachment as well.
The database also has a login set up for each merchant that is selling a product through us so they can login and see sales and modify offers!

1: What I need is for the the voucher/coupon to be invoiced and sent out immediately after purchase via email and then stored in the customer’s database so they can log back in and re-print it at anytime!

2: I need to have the ability to have PRE-ASSIGNED codes/numbers that will be able to be added to the merchants database and then the system will print the codes/numbers to their coupon!
They will basically give us a series of coupon codes/numbers that they
will accept and cross off their list when the coupons/vouchers are redeemed!
For example they give us authorization to sell vouchers with code# ABC100 through ABC150! The first coupon that gets ordered and sold from us online would have CODE #ABC100 Printed on the coupon and the second coupon ordered would have CODE #ABC101 printed on it etc. till it reaches CODE #ABC150!
Almost like assigning a specific seat at a sporting event/concert to a ticket in a way.

I need to know what files have been modified and basically need a separate extension created for the database so It doesn’t overwrite Magento’s Core Functionality and doesn’t interfere with other extensions!

Find Upc Numbers For Products

October 6th, 2011 Comments off

I have no idea how to do this so there isn’t any guidance I can provide, other than the result I want.

I need UPC numbers for 11,500 products, some of them common, most of them not. My source document is a tab delimited file that contains the manufacturer, the manufacturer’s part number, and the approximate street price of the item.

This file is in a tab delimited text format (see sample file attached).

Your finished product can be a similar tab delimited or csv file, or a mysql backup file. Something that I can parse to match the UPC number to the items in this file.

As many as 30-40% of the items on the list may not have a UPC number, but many will.

This is not a rush. Quality is more important to this project than speed.

Terms: SL escrow is required. If you don’t like to use SL escrow please do not bid. You can see from my feedback I am a reasonable buyer who pays a bonus for good work.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Find Lucky Number

September 19th, 2011 Comments off

This is about finding a person’s lucky number..

Project requirements:

A single file php script which includes:

- a form with two input boxes for First and Last name and a submit button
- a method to calculate a persons lucky number(s) and present them to the user

The script counts the letters of the person and comes up with a number.. Then it produces more numbers based on the original number e.g.

Lets say that the user inputs:

First Name: Bob
Last Name: Persons

Here’s how to come up with the final lucky number:

Bob + Persons = 3 + 7 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1 (this is the single lucky number)

Other lucky numbers are:
1 * 0 = 0
1 – 0 = 1
1 / 0 = N/A
and of course 10

So all the lucky numbers produced by the script are (this is also the
format it should show the script output):

Primary lucky number: 1
Secondary lucky number(s): 0, 10

Here’s another example:

First name: Emanuellia
last name: Papa

Emanuellia + Papa = 10 + 4 = 14 = 1 + 4 = 5 (primary lucky number = 7)

For secondary lucky numbers we have:
14
1 * 4 = 4 = 4
1 – 4 = -3 = 3
1 / 4 = 0,25 = 0, 2, 5

So the lucky numbers are:

Primary lucky number: 5
Secondary lucky number(s): 14, 4, 3, 0, 2, 5

The budget for this simple php project is small so don’t bid very high..

If you place a cool bid and you offer to do this immediately, I will likely choose you..

Fedex Script Macro Or Something

September 19th, 2011 Comments off

Site: www.fedex.com/Tracking

Brief: Currently FedEx allows you to enter up to 30 tracking numbers for tracking information. I need a script, macro, program, something that connects to FedEx api, ANYTHING that will allow me to run over 30 tracking numbers at a time and generate a browser output or excel output of the delivery status.

Example: I have a excel file with 200,000 fedex tracking numbers. I need to be able to copy and paste or upload or import the file and get an output of the tracking number + the delivery status next to it (initiated, delivered, etc…)

Please know what you are doing and let me know how you propose to get this done.

Web Scraping Phone Numbers

September 15th, 2011 Comments off

I have a database of 4100 US contacts, and I need to look up phone numbers for each person. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY before bidding, because I need the phone numbers looked up in a very specific way!!

I will give you a file with first_name, last_name street_address, city, state, and zip code.

I need you to search Intelius.com by first_name, last_name, city and state. This will often give many matches. The possible matches will have different addresses and phone numbers listed. I need you to find the person with the correct matching street address (fuzzy match), and return to me the phone number of that person.

Here is an example of the output that you will get after the initial search: https://www.intelius.com/sample.php?PackID=MQ==
From an output page like this you would have to do a fuzzy match to find the correct address.

Once everything is ready to go I will pay for the membership for intelius.com for up to 48 hours to run the scraper.

DO NOT BID OR EMAIL ME IF YOU HAVE NOT EVEN GONE TO THE WEBSITE. I’m looking for someone who will be very careful, read all of the instructions, and do this correctly. I will accept the first reasonable bid from anyone who demonstrates to me that they have spent at least 2 seconds thinking about this project.

I will give you a file with first_name, last_name street_address, city, state, and zip code.

I need to look up phone numbers, but categorize the results by the quality of the match. I only want numbers that have a unique match in the (name and address) or (name and zip code). That is, check if there is a unique match by (name and street address), if so report it, if multiple matches skip to next person, if no matches check instead by (name and zip code), then if multiple skip and if unique report it.

Any reputable US white pages website will be fine, but you must use the same website throughout for consistency, and it must be somewhat reputable (like whitepages.com). Also the website MUST allow you to search by street address, as some do not. If you have access to lexisnexis and can do a public information search to find the phone number I will give strong priority to you, but I don’t have a lexisnexis license that you can use.

I am looking for someone who is careful and will take the time to do this correctly and exactly the way that I want it.

Please ask questions if you have any. I need this done by 9/16.

Lottery Software 2

September 7th, 2011 Comments off

I’m running a free lottery on my website and here’s what I need.

The Form:

The form should show a table with numbers ranging from 1 to 49. Users can only choose exactly 6 numbers. Not more and not less! When a number is selected by the user it should be highlighted in yellow. The numbers that the user has selected should also be shown directly under the table. Their will be a Quick Pick option which will randomly pick 6 numbers for the user if he chooses. The user must input their Name and email address and hit the submit button.

Back End:

As soon as the user clicks the submit button an automated email should be sent to them showing the numbers they have selected and thanking them for playing. The users numbers should now be in a database. Once I have the results for that lottery draw I will require an interface where I can simply input the winning numbers into the system and it will show me anyone who has matched 6 out of 6 numbers or 5 out of 6 numbers and so on. As soon as I input the numbers an automated email will be sent out to all players in that draw telling them that the results are in and to come back to the site to check their ticket. They will then inform me if they are a winner.

I’m doing this just as a hobby for now so I don’t have a whole lot of money to spend on it but I’ve been told this is quite easy for experienced programmers to do. I don’t want to spend a lot of money.

Spaces therefore need reinserting before each capital letter and before each string of numbers.

WordPress Tweaks

August 11th, 2011 Comments off

I need a few tweaks to my wordpress site:

1. fix my “quick edit” function. right now if I click “quick edit” to change a post and click “save” then it overwrites everything instead of just add the new information.

2. adjust my Search Options Setup and add new property text. first there are texts I want to say other things but cannot find where to change it and then in certain fields it only allows numbers in some of the fields or will populate certain fields with numbers when I don’t want it to or want to enter alpha instead of numbers.

3. I need shortcodes to show in a “Description” field that currently will not allow it. If I paste shortcodes in there it only shoes the [shortcode] and not the actual plugin item.

Jquery Lottery Number Selector

July 13th, 2011 Comments off

I am looking for a jQuery solution that will enable users at a website to select lottery numbers.

The user is presented with a page that has 5 lottery balls, and 1 mega ball. Upon the initial page load, each ball has a “?” displayed on the ball. When they hover over the ball, a rectangular tooltip appears above the ball with numbers 1 through 56. The user selects the desired number, changing the ball’s label from “?” to the number selected. As they hover over the next lottery ball, the numbers already selected should be ‘disabled’ to prevent the selection of duplicate numbers. In addition, there should be a “Quick Pick” link to generate 5 unique numbers, and one mega number.

Lottery balls 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 must be unique. Minimum value is 1, maximum value is 56.

Lottery ball 6, or the Mega ball does not need to be unique. It is not constrained by the values of balls 1 through 5. Minimum value is 1, maximum value is 46.

The hover window for each ball must be able to hover over any text on the page above it. The numbers inside the hover are displayed in a grid layout, as the user hovers over a number, the number is highlighted. When the user selects the number, the value is circled, or otherwise marked to signify that it’s selected. The number should remain selected if the user hovers over a previously selected lottery ball. When the user mouses off of the hover window or switches to a different lottery ball, the existing window gracefully fades out, and the new lottery ball hover appears.

Deliverables:
lotterySelector.js – jQuery markup.
lotterySelector.css – Stylesheet for project
lotterySelector.html – HTML markup for layout of lottery game.

Fixing Php Form 2

July 7th, 2011 Comments off

The Form was made using PHP. It has some problems,

http://luckyproductsbd.com/friends/addphone.html

It add name/phone to db. It validate numbers as well, but if you put 1 number right and others in in invalid format, it still shows successful massage and adds only numbers in right format.

What I want is
It will check numbers first then, it will add them to db. If any number is in valid, it will say right away, and will not take submit action.

If all the numbers are right, only then it will show successful massage.

It is very easy and short job. Maybe you need ASP, PHP and HTML. I will not pay more than $10. And I need it to be done by next 3 hours.

Thank you

Digitise Text

June 23rd, 2011 Comments off

Hello,

I need someone to digitise text from hard copy. Attached are 3 files that will explain what is to be done…

1. A Word doc – this contains a proforma table. Each column has title and reference number (for your purpose only). The text is to be typed into the columns from images, a sample of which is the next document.

2. An image file – this is a sample of where the text has to be copied from. The image has reference numbers that correspond to each of the column numbers in the Word doc. The numbers indicate which bits of the text go into which column.

3. A zip file- This contains 35 images similar to (2). The reference numbers are not repeated but the layout is identical.

This work needs to be completed within 24 hours.

For this reason I would rather a team than an individual.

Any questions via pmb

Random Number Generator Software

May 28th, 2011 Comments off

We are looking for a random number generator software to operate on windows that we can have to download to our desktop

we would like the software to simliar to the one used on http://www.psychicscience.org/random.aspx

we would like the software to be able to Generate 100,000,000 random integers between 1 and 100,000,000 being all unique values (Unique Values – each integer appears once only)

Not saying we will be generating that many random intergers at once but we need the program to be able to generate from a range of 1 integer all the way to 100,000,000

That website only Generates 10,000 random integers between 1 and 10,000 with unique values. So we need to the software to generate alot more numbers

once the numbers have been generated we will need a date and time stamp for each time the program generates the numbers.

We will need to be able to export the files to excel from the software and be able to print from the program. This software needs to be fully functional random number generator

We need to see a working demo software before finally payment

Simple Java Concurrent Erathostenes Sieve

May 7th, 2011 Comments off

Hi,
I need following assignment done.
Algorithm and steps are provided so it should be very easy for a java expert.

Eratosthenes’ Sieve

Eratosthenes’ sieve is a method for generating prime numbers. Our goal is to implement it using threads and pipes. The task may occur difficult to do at once, so it is divided into several steps.

Here is the algorithm:

1. A thread named Generator generates consecutive natural numbers (> 1) (until it reaches the limit given as argument) and writes them to a pipe.
2. The numbers are received by another thread named Sieve, created by the generator.
3. The sieving thread stores the first number read from the pipe. It is a prime number.
4. Afterwards it creates new sieving thread and transfers to it (using another pipe) the rest of the received numbers except for numbers divisible by the stored prime number.
5. Then the sieving thread returns (using another pipe) the stored prime number to the thread, from which it received the numbers.
6. Next, the sieving thread reads prime numbers from the (another, not used yet) pipe connecting it and the sieving thread it created earlier and sends them to its parent (the thread, to which the stored prime was sent; it is the thread, that created this one).
7. Having generated all the natural numbers, the main thread – the Generator – starts reading prime numbers from the pipe connecting it and its descendant and writes them to the command prompt.

Step 1

Create a class named Generator. An object of this class is a thread generating integer numbers (>1).
Step 2

Create a class named Sieve. An object of this class is a thread reading numbers from the pipe connecting it to the generator.

Notes:

* A stream object must be passed to the receiver thread as an argument to a constructor.
* A pipe stream must be decorated with a data stream (DataOutputStream or DataInputStream) to enable transfer of primitive types (integers).
* Having printed all the received numbers, both threads should terminate cleanly. To achieve this, the special value 0 may be sent as a termination signal (EOD, end of data).

Step 3

The receiver thread passes all the received numbers back to the sender using another pipe.
The sender (the generator) prints them out to the command prompt.
Step 4

* The sieving thread creates another sieving thread and transfers to it all the numbers it has received.
* The created sieving thread (descendant) reads the numbers and sends them back to the sender immediately (using another pipe).
* The sieving thread created by the generator receives the numbers from the descendant and returns them to the generator, who prints them.

There are 3 threads here.
Step 5, the last

The sieving thread does not pass all the numbers it gets to the descendant. It passes only those of them that are not divisible by the first number it got (and stored).

Each sieving thread creates another sieving thread until there are any numbers left in the transferred sequence.

Besides the stored prime number, it passes to the parent thread all the numbers received from the descendant.
Notes:

* Each sieving thread must take 2 stream objects as arguments to its constructor (only in the final version).
* All the streams must be closed properly.
* Each thread should print lots of diagnostic messages to ease debugging. However, a correctly working program should print only the prime numbers.

Facebook Lottery

Hi,

I am a webdesigner who needs help with a project. I want to make a facebook lottery where people can win facebook credits.

There will be 2 options: play with normal credits (each day they log on or 4 each friend they invite they will recieve credits)

The second option will be to play for real facebook credits. for 1 facebook credit they will get to pick 7 numbers (a ticket). They can buy unlimited tickets of course.

The draw will take place daily (I will have recieved 10% of the credits before the draw). Before the winnngs is paid out 10% goes to me and the rest is divided accordingly. They should also be able to buy a ticket that last for a specified amount of time. (which costs Xdays x 1 fb credit)

There must be a calander to keep record of past draws.

Some apps have certain tasks that allow people to earn free credits (from the advertising companies), I would like this to be included.

here is an example of the pay out:

Div 1 (7 Numbers) 1 – winners 11 269 349 fb credits
Div 2 (6 Numbers 3 – winners 113 298 fb credits
Div 3 (5 Numbers) 146 – winners 5 238 fb credits
Div 4 (4 Numbers 311 – winners 1 366 fb credits
Div 5 (3 Numbers) 6300 – winners 225 fb credits
Div 6 (2 Numbers) 8100 – winners 115 fb credits

Rollover amount for next draw: 0
This is rollover number: 0
Total prize pool for this draw: 18 154 627
Next Estimated Jackpot: 2 000 000
Draw Number: 107

The winners should have a message posted on there wall

(This is just an example, the actual numbers will vary)

The programming language used is not important, however the design should like appealing.

Price Comparison Site Multi-query 3

April 27th, 2011 Comments off

I need a program to run multiple searches on the site Bookbutler.com at the same time. Bookbutler runs a search on a 10 or 13 digit number (ISBN number) and returns a list of comparison prices for the book. I want to run a list of numbers at the same time, inputted from a text file or cut and paste into an application to run the search. The application should be capable of running 100+ numbers at a time (please state you have any problem with this when you bid).

The output should go to an Excel spreadsheet with the top 5 results for each book (see attachment). Note that the Price figure should be the “Total”, ie “Price” + “Shipping” (final figure on the right).

Any type of input interface is OK, as long as the ISBN number list can be pasted into it and the numbers don’t need to be typed in.

Java: Strings And Collections

STEP 1: Index

Write a Java GUI application called Index.java that inputs several lines of text and a search character and uses String method indexOf to determine the number of occurrences of the character in the text.

Sample Program output: View attachment STEP 1

STEP 2: Index2

Write a Java GUI application Index2.java based on the program in project1 that inputs several lines of text and uses String method indexOf to determine the total number of occurrences of each letter of the alphabet in the text. Uppercase and lowercase letters should be counted together. Store the totals for each letter in an array, and print the values in tabular format after the totals have been determined.

Sample Program output: View attachment STEP 2

STEP 3: ThreeArrayLists (20 points)

Write a program called ThreeArrayLists.java that declares three arrayLists referenced by the objects named priceList, quantityList, and amountList. Each arrayList should be declared in main() and should be capable of holding a minimum of 10 double-precision numbers.

The numbers that should be stored in price are 10.62, 14.89, 13.21, 16.55, 18.62, 9.47, 6.58, 18.32, 12.15, 3.98.

The numbers that should be stored in quantity are 4, 8.5, 6, 7.35, 9, 15.3, 3, 5.4, 2.9 4.8.

Your program should pass object references to these three arrays to a method named extend(), which should calculate the elements in the amount array as the product of the corresponding elements in the price and quantity arrays (for example, amount [i] = price[i] * quantity [i]).

After extend() has put values into the amount array, create a method that displays the results of all three lists. Appropriate formatting techniques need to be used to produce a formatted output.

Sample program output:

1) 10.62 * 4.0 = 42.48

2) 14.89 * 8.5 = 126.56

3) 13.21 * 6.0 = 79.26

4) 16.55 * 7.35 = 121.64

5) 18.62 * 9.0 = 167.58

6) 9.47 * 15.3 = 144.89

7) 6.58 * 3.0 = 19.74

8) 18.32 * 5.4 = 98.93

9) 12.15 * 2.9 = 35.24

10) 3.98 * 4.8 = 19.1

Maximum Calculations Of A Data

March 19th, 2010 Comments off

I am looking for a programmer to Deliver a finished project that shows the combinations that can be made from the numbers 1 through 30. The rules are simple. All values to be comma separated. No duplicates. Order does not matter. I have attached a sample spreadsheet that I have created manually. I am only down to 3 number combinations and I realized that this is something a computer should be able to do faster. I do not want to see one number combinations (ie, a single number by itself) counted as one combination. The combination must be atleast 2 numbers like 2,10. There should be no repeats in any cell. Like 2,2,1,10,12. So each number should only show up one time per cell if applicable. That means we start with:
1,2
1,3
1,4
1,5 all the way to 1,30
then..
2,3
2,4
2,5 all the way to 2,30
After the first number gets all the way to 29,30, we move to three number combination possibilities. Like:
1,2,3
1,2,4
1,2,5
1,2,6 all the way to 1,2,30.

After the three number combination possibilities are done, we go to fours and so on until we get to 15 number combinations and once they are done, we do not go to sixteen. Even though there are 30 numbers to pull from, I do not want to see combinations of more then 15. Attached is a sample spreadsheet that I entered manually to show you the format I want. Pay careful attention to the fact that the pattern is careful to avoid duplicates combinations of any of the cells and duplicate numbers within each individual cell.

C Programming

Hi,

i want to implement and test a piece of software written in C, and then write a
report describing how the software works and how it was tested. Guidance on project
and report are provided in this document.

the topic is (Numerical Differentiation).

Numerical differentiation of a sequence of numbers x[i], i=0,1,2… (e.g., obtained by
digitalizing a signal or sampling a function at regular intervals) can be performed by
the simple calculation
dx[i] = x[i+1]
