I need to clone the ad from http://www.sexyescortads.com/ – top right peeling corner (Horny?).

I will provide video source(.mpg) from which you should cut a piece for the video part of this ad. Text and photos will also be provided.

I need a video “.mpg” to have certain sections to be ‘cut’ / ‘removed’ so the entire video is shorter in length. It is important we do not loose quality during this phase.

I need a quick shell script written to automate this task.

I have a directory full of files that look like this…

file1.avi.001
file1.avi.002
file1.avi.003

file2.avi.001
file2.avi.002
file2.avi.003
file2.avi.004

file3.mpg.001
file3.mpg.002

I know that I can join them using cat like this:

cat file3.mpg.001 file3.mpg.002 > file3.mpg

Yet, I would like to automate this procedure so I don’t have to type in each file name. Can you write a quick shell script or one line shell script command that can find all the files in the directory in this format and join them in the format that I displayed above?

We need an application, running on our Linux Apache server, that will watch a directory for new SWF files, and if any appear, convert them to AVI format.

A sample SWF is here:

The AVI should be saved to a separate directory. audio and video need to be retained, and the AVI file should have the same filename (i.e, btt_8C127A.avi).

Note: Converting to MPG instead of AVI would also be acceptable. Whichever one is easier. : )

I understand that there may be third-party command-line applications which exist that can do this, and you’re welcome to use them as part of your solution and add the cost of the application to your bid. However, we need the total cost of this project to be $1000 or less.

IMPORTANT:
We have had programmers approach us intending to use ffmpeg for this conversion. Please be aware: ffmpeg does not work for this type of conversion! We have had three programmers try to make this work with ffmpeg, and it does not work. That is because SWF files are Adobe code, they need to be decompiled, and ffmpeg can’t decompile SWF files, only FLVs.

If you have some kind of new information or unusual approach for using ffmpeg, great! Please download the linked swf above, and use your method to convert it to MPG or AVI. If you can make that work, you’re at the top of the list. Otherwise, you will need to use a method other than ffmpeg / mencode.

Again, this is for use on a Linux Apache server.
