Compress Mp4 Video – Need Done Today

October 9th, 2011 Comments off

I have an MP4 video that I took using my Flip camera. The video is only 2 minutes long, but it is a huge file – 60+ mbs.

I want to put the video on Youtube, but I think it’s too large, and will take a long time to load. I need it compressed so it will not take long to load. Ideally, I would like to get it down to 5mbs or less, without sacrificing too much quality. I don’t mind the video quality being reduced, but I still want the quality to be decent.

I need the output file to be in MP4 format.

Compress Mp4 Video

I have an MP4 video that I took using my Flip camera. The video is only 3 minutes long, but it is a huge file – 207 mbs.

I want to auto-play the video on one of my sites, but it’s too large to do so now. I need it compressed so it will not take long to load on my site. Ideally, I would like to get it down to 10mbs. I’m not sure if this is possible without sacrificing quality a lot. I don’t mind the video quality being reduced, but I still want the quality to be decent.

I need the output file to be in MP4 format.

Mp4 Video Encoder For Web

April 20th, 2009 Comments off

I’m looking for an expert in encoding MP4 videos that are suitable/optimised for web streaming.

We are working with High Definition video footage and want to compress/encode it so that it plays at high quality without being too bandwidth-hungry. The compressed footage must look nice quality even when maximized to full-screen. Ideally we would like to compress the footage to around 10MB per minute (or less if possible.)

I will provide you with a 1-minute clip of HD video footage. Your job is to encode it into compressed but high quality mp4 that plays perfectly on Flowplayer (powered by Wowza streaming server.) When I’m satisfied with the quality, I need to know with full instructions the exact settings/parameters used, so that I can continue to encode videos myself.

I currently edit the HD footage within Final Cut (for Mac) and then encode it using MPeg Streamclip (available to download at http://www.squared5.com/). This is my preferred software; so if possible you must create the encoded video using MPeg Streamclip too.

Ideally I want a simple one-step encoding process (without having to import the footage to lots of different software etc.)

Here are examples of what I consider good quality footage:

-Film trailer: http://www.amateurlatex.com/test_video/trailer2.mp4
-Any film trailer at: http://www.apple.com/trailers/

And here is an example of my own compressed footage, which I do not consider good enough quality, and does not stream well at all (it’s certainly not good enough when it is maximized to full-screen):

Please get in touch with relevant examples of your compressed mp4 videos.

Unfortunately I will not be able to respond to anyone who is not able to show examples of their mp4 work.

Thank you.
