I have a Drupal content type with CCK filefields which contain mp3 files. The field formatter for displaying the files is a simple mp3 player, so when the node is viewed an an mp3 player appears embedded in the page for each file.

All I need is for this mp3 player to open in a pop-up window so that the music continues to play as a user navigates the site.

Any mp3 player can be used as long as it can be used as a formatter for CCK filefields, or if theres a different method thats fine, providing the content creator does not have to do anything other than upload their file and save the node.

Player object should provide API:
- start playing from position given in ms (i.e. JS function Object.play(1230) meant start playing mp3 from 1.23 second). If stream is not buffered till this position then it should start streaming from this position. The server script streaming mp3 is provided.
- pause
- get current position in ms
- get information about streaming – positions of start and end of a buffer in ms, see attached picture

A link to mp3 file is provided as parameter for embedding flash object.

I am looking for a flash-based MP3 player that will read an XML file containing a few hundreds of songs, shuffle the songlist and play the songs one-by-one. The experience that the user will get is just like listening to a radio-station.

The player should be capable of integrating into a Joomla-based website.

Here are the requirements in detail:

1. XML-based playlist, with optional shuffle. This means that I will hear the songs in a different order every single time I launch the player. Shuffle should be optional and specified in the XML file.

2. Define an “intro MP3″: a pre-set MP3 file that will always play before the playlist begins playing the first track (e.g. when launching the player, the user will hear something like “thank you for choosing MT radio!”, and only then the playlist starts to play). The “intro MP3″ file is specified in the XML.

3. Ability to add “jingles”: every X songs the player will play a predefined list of MP3 files (e.g. every 4 songs the listener will hear something like “you’re listening to MT radio!”, afterwhich the playlist resumes). The “jingle” files (there can be several of these) and the intervals in which they play within the songs defined in the playlist, are specified in the XML file.

4. Crossfade between songs, so that songs will seamlessly overlap and there will be no “silence” between the tracks (excluding the jingles mentioned before, that should not crossfade amongst themselves or to the songs that comes before and after the jingles play). The option whether to enable or disable the crossfade is specified in the XML.

5. Display artist/song name information based on the ID3 tags contained within each MP3 file that is being played. The text should be UTF-8 to support both English (left-to-right) and Hebrew (right-to-left).

6. The “next/back tracks” buttons can be enabled/disabled according to the XML. If the buttons are disabled, the user will not have the ability to skip over to the next track, repeat the current track or jump back to the previous track – just like listening to a live radio station.

7. Tracks should be loaded into the player as the playlist progresses. I do not want the whole list to be cached as it can be very long…

8. The player should not display the actual playlist content, so that the user will not be aware of what song is coming next after the currently playing song finishes.

** Before selecting the successful coder, I will require evidence that you have previous experience with a similar project. In particular, I would like to see that you can provide the crossfade facility.

It must have the following features:
1. A user section where the player will show all the titles available in a playlist so that the user can click on the title and listen, stop, pause and adjust volume.
2. An admin panel where I can browse for the mp3, give a name to the title, upload the mp3 files or delete ones I want to remove.
3. The files are up to 70 MB in size because it is about 1 hour 30 minute audio training mp3 files.

I would like to integrate a flash mp3 player on a website so that it doesn’t have to reload every single time you change a page. So it would have to be coded in some sort of frame, but I had my layout coded by a third party, so I was wondering if there was a simpler solution then breaking up the whole page into frames and then having to target all my links.

Any flash mp3 player can be used, the XSPF one can be used since it’s free. But if you have a better choice available, let me know. If there is something that is colour configurable, that’s even better. I don’t have a big budget for this, so let me know!

We have a mp3 store but the player will not play the songs. We have an admin panel to link the player to the file on there server. We also need to make sure after the customer checks out they can download the songs.

The way fccruston.com/music admin panel works. If you go to the setting you can link to the folder containing the music (../mp3) Then you can go to the manage track and link the file name so the file will play in the previewer and be able to be download when it is purchase. We did not want to use a shorten version of the song in the previewer so we should leave the preview link empty and the site should choose the full length version to play.

When you get it a song to work I need to know which song you got to work so I can see for myself to use as an explain to link more songs correctly.

Second thing I also want to be able to discount when a customer buys more than one album and be able to can control the discount amount through the admin panel.

Example each album is $15.00 so if a customer buys two album the price is 25.00 and if the customer buys three albums 38.00 so one.

In the admin panel I would like it look like this

Try to use ablum but if it is easier make the discount trigger from a price set.

I currently have an xml mp3 player currently in place on my website. Though i wish to change this to another xml player.

title: well this one is easy to figure out, its the name of the ringtone.

I imagine that most good flash programmers will have already have done work very similar to this so I should be able to expect a short time to completion.

To create the playlist for the mp3 player most likely a script that creates a .xspf file automatically when a new song is added or a song is deleted. It needs to be so simple that my grandma could manage the mp3 player.

It allows the user to navigate different pages whilst the music keeps on playing, BUT it does this WITHOUT USING FLASH. So I am looking for a player that works the same way as ‘the sixty one’ but does not use Flash and does not use Frames.

In terms of functionality, all I need is stop/play button, next/previous track buttons, and an indication of the name of the current MP3 file playing. I don’t need any other functionality. I want a flash mp3 player installed on our website and want an admin panel where I can name, upload and delete the mp3 files which can be up to 50 MB in size.

I am prepared to buy a script if you can recommend one and then you can just install it.

This is a very urgent project so please dont bid if you cant start and finish this project today.
