November 11th, 2011 Comments off

Scenario:
develop a movement algorith with collision avoidance

Activity 1: Calculate a Steering Vector Algorithm.
Calculate a steering vector by hand to help review the vector math that will be required to complete Activity 2 of this project.

Activity 2: Design and code a steering algorithm class, then combine methods.
Step 1: Create a method to calculate the steering force on an entity for each of the following movement algorithms:

Seek
Flee
Arrive
Wander
Collision Avoidance

Step 2: Create a Weighted Blending technique for combining the various steering algorithms coded above. The method should calculate the total steering force acting upon an AI bot.

Activity 3: Demonstrate the steering class created.
Using a graphical API (i.e. DarkGDK, DirectX, etc), create a demo for the steering class created in Activities 1 and 2. The demonstration should have multiple AI entities undergoing multiple movement algorithms, as well as avoiding obstacles placed in the world.

Simple Forex Tracking Tool

July 30th, 2009 Comments off

I need a tool added to my members area of my website that will track up to 10 currency paris in the forex market, then if there is an increase of decrease in the value by an amount of pips determined by the member then it would send an email and sms txt message to the member stating the currency pair and amount of movement either up or down

I would like to tool to pull the data in real time however if the only option is a 30 second delay (like free quotes from say yahoo) that would be acceptable

The member should be able to set which currency pairs to watch ( up to 10 different pairs at once)

The member should be able to set how many pips a currency pair should move before sending out alerts and each pair should be able to have its own amount of pips movement, for examplwe if the member has the program watching euro/usd and GBP/usd member should be able to have the system send out an alert after say 100 pip movement in euro and 200 pip movement if GBP if they wish

Interactive Custom Card Design

March 25th, 2009 No comments

Hello –

I need someone to create an online, interactive custom card design tool. The tool will allow people to create their own designs for a card including background, text, and images. The feature requirements for the card front and back are listed below, along with examples of similar websites.

—————————————-
Front:
Background selectable from an existing list or uploaded image
Add text fields with editable size, color, and placement
Add one text date (ie 03/18/2009) and one text cost (ie $10) field which each have editable size, color, and placement
Uploadable image(s) with adjustable size and placement

Back:
The back will be split up in a grid.
The number of grid boxes is selectable (1 to ~32) and automatically scale to fit the space
Each box has 1 image, either selected from pre-determined list, or uploaded, which has editable size and can be left or right aligned (within the grid)
Each box has three (optional) text fields, which automatically wrap within the blank space

Adminstrative backend:
Simple method of uploading new background images. Should be simple but does not have to be pretty.

Platform:
Can be Flash or Javascript/AJAX based
Ties into existing PHP infrastructure
Final result is saved as high-resolution (~300 pixels/inch) JPG or high-resolution PDF
Cross-browser compatible

Interface requirements:
Drag-and-drop layout functionality
“what you see is what you get” design
Warning when closing or navigating away from page

Similar to:
http://www.bluecotton.com/
Aspects that are good:
Smooth interface
“what you see is what you get” design
Text editor is good and shows fonts/colors as they are changed
Elements are directly movable and resizable with mouse
Text elements can still be changed after they are added
This is a good model to follow for the front of the card
Differences:
We do not need ability to add unlimited text / images, a pre-set number is fine
Do not need checkout integrated
Do not need customization of existing templates

Aspects that are good:
Good interface for adding text and formatting it
This is a good model to follow for the front of the card
Differences:
Do not need text rotation, saving, art gallery
