Mouseover Nav Change Site-wide

January 12th, 2010 Comments off

My client needs the following changes made to the mouse-over navigation bar every page on their static HTML site (and there are a lot of pages — more than 50, but I’m guessing less than 200 pages). I know how to do this work, but don’t have time to deal with it right now.

You will be provided with a layered PSD file with the whole navigation in there — you will need to make the slices as I don’t have the original file the navigation was generated from. You will need to make changes to at least 5 menu graphics (slice areas) because the spacing will change with the replacement wording.

The Changes:
1. change top nav tab name from newsletters to news on all pages
2. change top nav tab name from links to resources on all pages

Edit Javascript Mouseover

November 26th, 2009 Comments off

I need a programmer to take an existing Javascript that I have installed on a website and clean it up so that it functions more correctly. I have used the Brothercake Transitions script to create a crossfade image replacement on my homepage. The code is intended to crossfade an image when clicked, but I want it to do so on rollover and rollout. I have it working, but it is buggy. I need to make sure these specifics are fixed…

1. Images transition without exposing background.
2. Images transition back immediately on mouse out.
3. Z-index values do not change during transition.
4. Transition speed is increased.

If there is a better script than I am using that will accomplish a crossfade (not a simple replacement), that is fine. Otherwise, if we can work within the existing script, that would be the best.

This should be easy work for someone familiar with Javascript. I am unfortunately not one of those people. Thanks for your help!

Quick Lightbox Script Setup

August 12th, 2009 Comments off

I need a very quick lightbox type script setup for one of my websites.

I already have functioning javascripts to do the lightbox effect, but the problem is that when I want to setup an image that is a mouseover image (changes color) AND have the lightbox script popup, I can’t get it to function.

You are welcome to use any lightbox type effect you would like. I am currently trying to make it work with this script: http://www.phatfusion.net/multibox/

I have functioning code for the mouseover, and then functioning code for the lightbox pop-up. But, can’t get them to work together.

Again, I basically need a lightbox type effect to work when an image link is clicked. The lightbox pop-up will need to play an .flv file. Also, don’t forget that the image is not only linked up to the pop-up, but also needs to be a mouseover change-color effect. (all images are of course done and ready.

A 2 Page Webhosting Design

July 29th, 2009 Comments off

We’re looking for a sleek but simple Web 2.0/3.0 design for our new hosting site.

We need 1 customized index page and 1 package compare page that we can easily duplicate for additional package pages.

Index Page: funky header, mouseover nav bar that can easily expand if we need to add to it, 3 package display boxes each w/ a See More button linked to package comparison page, an area for site body text, a “What’s New” info box, a Testimonial info box and a footer nav bar for site links.

Package Compare Page: same funky header, same mouseover nav bar, same footer nav bar plus an interactive comparison chart with mouseover features similar to the one here: http://www.hostgator.com/shared.shtml

The design should be appealing but easy for us to customize and change things like package names, description and pricing as needed. We’re looking for something similar to hostgator.com and zoothost.com but NOT a clone.

Flash Bug

June 20th, 2009 Comments off

I have a flash file that produces quirky movement between image transitions in Firefox but not IE and only on my server not on my home computer.

The bug occurs in the cms but also outside of the cms with a ordinary html file.

The quirky transition movement appears after the browser cache has been cleared and eventually clears itself up.

The flash file and template are being used in a cms templating system (based on Perl) here:
http://globalwalk.ca/test5/index.shtml.

The flash file tested in a html file outside of the templating system here:
http://globalwalk.ca/test5/example/index.html

The cms system developer site is located here:
http://globalmoxie.com/projects/bigmedium/index.shtml.

1. I need this bug fixed in a cross browser compatible fashion.

2. Can you take the same flash gallery and resize it for me in a 500×700 vertically orientated file after the bug issue is fixed.
(I will provide the original files including the fla file…)

3. The bottom right icons for facebook, youtube, etc are supposed to mouseover but don’t work in the cms system due to a javascript conflict (I think…).
I need the mouseover effect removed (because I’m tired of trying to fix it) and the icons working as ordinary links using the gifs already supplied.
Please use the colored gifs not the monochrome gifs. The working mouseover can be seen at:
http://globalwalk.ca/test5/example/index.html.

Cheers,
Terry
