Hey all i am just looking for a simple kinect mouse cursor program for use on a windows 7 PC using the official Microsoft Kinect SDK.

The program should be able to do the following:

-Full screen use of the mouse tracking using either the left or the right hand.

-Making a fist in either the left or right hand will cause the mouse to “click”.

-Hold out either the left or right hand in a “stop” hand gesture while moving the other hand left or right causes the mouse to “grab” whatever its on.

-Making a “C” hand gesture in either the left or right hand will cause it to go back to the main menu.

-Be able to give it simple voice commands that are defined. Example: Run media player, Open IE, etc..

This can be coded in either C# or VB.net. Although i would rather have the code in VB.net if at all possible.

Of course you will need to have the actual Kinect hardware with you in order to perform this task i have asked. I will not choose a coder who does not have any means of testing out their own code for this on their own PC.

We are running a vacation rental website, with a JavaScript/Ajax reservation calendar. We need certain modifications to the calendar logic.

Please take a look at

Click on Availability tab, you’ll see the calendar. Click on available date, and drag over to another date while holding the mouse button, you’ll see yellow selection coming up.

Here are the tweaks we need:
1. In the yellow selection, the first and the last day should be highlighted as skewed yellow bars instead of solid yellow. That means we should apply certain css classes for first and last date cells, different from the css class for the rest of the selection.
2. Need to change the selection logic. Currently, you need to drag the mouse while holding the button to make a selection. We should keep this, but also add more intuitive logic. Once the mouse is clicked and released on same day, we need to highlight the selection from this day when moving the mouse (without holding the button), and finish the selection on another click.

We need to keep all present functionality intact. In particular, when you make a selection it sets arrival/departure dates in the bottom of the center column accordingly. And vice versa, when you change arrival/departure dates it highlights the selection in the calendar.

It is well-known that mac os mouse acceleration curve is very different form windows/linux ones.

There are several fixes for mac os such as Steermouse, USB overdrive, etc. But they all are wrong since they just disable mouse acceleration, not fix the curve.
I need someone with good knowledge of Mac Os X internals to make mouse driver with proper acceleration curve including mouse preference pane where user would be able to control mouse speed just like in windows (incl precision checkbox to switch on acceleration).

There used to be an API in Mac os which allowed you to change the acceleration:

but is was deprecated in os x, and yet controllermate still does it somehow.

Please post your ideas on implementing it in PMB to show your knowledge and ability to do the task.
This shouldn’t be really hard for someone who knows what he’s doing, who knows the “secret”.

I currently have an iPhone app in development and have hit a stumbling block and therefore require some sample application code (ideally running on mac / xcode) in C, C++ or objective C that demonstrates the following:

A 3D cube displayed on screen that can be rotated relative to the viewer with the mouse.
The cube needs to snap to 90 degree increments on the world axis.
Whilst the mouse button is held down, the cube should rotate along with the mouse cursor.
When the mouse button is released, the rotation should take into account the velocity of the swipe such that the cube rotates in the direction of the swipe until a certain threshold velocity then comes to rest in one of the world snap positions.
The camera should be able to rotate (around the Y axis only).

The graphics methods used are not important, but I need the rotate / snap code to be clear in order that I can understand the methods used (whether they be quaternion or matrix based).

To put this in context, the game contains a cube in the center of the world. Various shapes approach from the front/back/left/right. The cube has a different shape on each of its faces. The aim is to match the cubes face to the incoming shapes.

I am looking for a designer build a website for an Australian mining company.

Website most likely to be built on CMSMS or Joomla and needs a stylish design.

Applicants must be able to work with Adobe Creative Suite to create design mock-ups and graphics, and must have good knowledge of Flash to create one/two short animations.

Applicants must also know how to write good websites (W3C and cross-browser compliant), will know PHP, and will have worked with CMSMS or Joomla previously.

Estimated workload: ~35 hours of work.

Project requirements:
– home page design and build, including splash page, animated menu and/or other catchy feature;
– consistent design & build for internal pages, with slight distinctive styling for 8 internal pages (that will later have their own sub-pages);
– ‘panel menu’, similar to gs.com, or other modern design;
– inline graphics for internal pages (from our photographs, or stock images);
– site map;
– updateable news module/section;
– good semantic design for compatibility and SEO.

Reference designs (food for thought):
– www.gs.com, for panel menu;
– www.riotinto.com, for clean intergation of graphics and original layout;
– www.haileybury.vic.edu.au, for attractive home page, well integrated inline graphics, general dynamic feel of the site.

Flash based content:
– “Worldwide network” map of suppliers and customers, with ~7 location mouse-overs;
– “Earth dissection” diagram with ~5 mouse-overs;
– “Three pillars” diagram portraying 3x “corporate values”, based on or built upon triangular company logo;
– Flash content must be lively, eg. follow mouse, or other subtle feature/animation.
