Joomla And Moodle Small Integration (quick Job) 2

June 30th, 2011 Comments off

I need a simple integration of joomla and moodle.

User registers on a form in joomla and chooses a course (you have to get the course list from moodle – databases are both on the same server and I’ll have access to them.)

Joomla – Lastest version
Moodle – 1.9

Admin has a listing of students on joomla and button saying “Aproove”, on aproval the user is inserted and added to the course on moodle, and the user gets deleted from the joomla database.

I’m a developer, I’ll then modify the script to fit my needs, i had a previous solution done but by mistake i used an older joomla and moodle version.

I need this ASAP and must be ready by 23:30 GMT today.

It’s an easy job for a fast developer, but note that I’ll need the code to fit the php standarts and i need to understand it easily.

I will provide a deployment server.

Thanks.

Moodle Theme Customization

March 7th, 2010 Comments off

I want the dropdown menu from the Base Menu Yui theme combined with the Fishbowl theme. Base Menu Yui is not really a theme, it is just a dropdown menu.

Fishbowl’s header can be altered to include the dropdown menu or you can start with the dropdown menu and integrate Fishbowl’s stylesheets (you are free to use your own method).

At the end of the day, the theme must have Fishbowl’s colours and graphics WITH the dropdown menu.

Please send me a message if my explanation is not clear or if you foresee any challenges with my project. I am open to any other suggestions you may have regarding the above customization.

Flash Game -moodle Integration

December 13th, 2009 Comments off

We have got a elearning flash game developed. See the game at: http://www.skyweblabs.com/demo/game/Main.html

We have got moodle installed at : mathlion.com

The game generates a score which is to be saved in moodle. Moodle has a functionality wherein scores from a game can be saved an the moodle then automatically generates progress reports for users.

So, basically only integration is to be done so that scores are saved in moodle for report generation.

Attached a doc which might help. The time we have for the project completion is 3 days.

Moodle Guru Needed

November 4th, 2009 Comments off

Hey there,

I’m working on a moodle website and I need some help since it’s my first moodle project. I’m pretty good with scripts and I’ve done a little programming of my own, but I’m no expert.

I’m trying to put together a simple quiz system in moodle that is specific for online traffic ticket schools. It basically needs to be a section of 6 consecutive reading lessons followed by 6 quizes. Each quiz needs to be passed with an 80% to move on. There is one “catch” question in each group that needs to be correct for the person to move on to the next section. At the end of the 6 sections, the person fills takes a final exam that they need to get an 80% on. Over all it’s not all that hard. I just need someone to coach me through it and to help me make the tweaks where tweaks are needed. I’m online a lot and I’m on all the major chat systems, so I’d like to work with someone on this.

Thanks for your help. Please post any questions in the PMB.

Captivate Results To Mysql Db

October 31st, 2009 Comments off

I need to know how to configure Adobe Captivate such that the Learning Interaction results are sent to a MySQL Database or Moodle LMS.

I use Adobe Captivate Version 3 and I already have Moodle set up on my website.

I created a project a few years back to have the final results of a quiz sent to a MySQL database. This project was completed and works fine. However, I want the individual results of each interaction, the id of the question item, quiz id, and lastly the user’s id for tracking purposes.

It is not required that you use Moodle. Just so the results are stored in a database in the fashion described above.

Moodle Customization

September 20th, 2009 Comments off

Hi,

I would require few specific customizations in Moodle LMS. They are:

1. Authenticate users’ login with LDAP and other database to pull out information on user name, id, role, division, office location and reporting manager name/id. I need the customized PHP page for this login based on the mockup information from LDAP for above fields.

2. Based on the user information, I need to assign a specific IP for each user through predefined reference from a database table. When the user tries to launch a course, the user specific IP will be used to redirect the page and launch the course from the specified IP. This shouldn’t impact the SCORM communication between course and LMS.

Since, it’s remote work, I would need the completed files to work when I copy these to my LMS folder (as per your instructions on the folder/files to be copied/replaced.

If more details required, raise comments and I can provide more details. Please quote the price for each of the above two tasks separately and the timeline to complete.

Thanks!

WordPress Moodle Integration

July 18th, 2009 Comments off

1. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We are a Sunnyvale, CA based company that provides Education to High School Students. We currently offer two versions of our Education course. One is a live scheduled classroom course that allows groups of students to learn together in-person. The other is an online individualized self-paced class that a single student takes on his own time.

In a nutshell this is an integration project using wordpress as the front end and integrating into this, credit card processing, user authentication, Moodle and Dim Dim.

We need a contractor with web site development, LMS, and graphic design skills to convert our existing website to a Web2.0 site, with dynamic content, company blogs, social networking features, and integration with mySpace, facebook, and twitter for sharing content. We expect you complete this task with no code changes to the open source components.

2. HOW OUR SITE WORKS
Our site largely consists of two components: the “company” pages that users are directed to when they first come to our site.
The other component is the “online school”, where students-members are directed to once they login into their accounts. The steps that a user might progress through would involve arriving at our site onto the “company” page, becoming a member by enrolling as a student-member for a class, and finally registering/creating a username/password & entering their credit card information. Once users are registered student-members, they will gain access to the “online school.”

2.1. “Company” Component Details
These are pages that provide static information regarding our company, services, teachers, and other info. This is all available on our current site and can be directly transferred over to the new site. The new site will have additional dynamic content and should have Web 2.0 features. There will also be an intranet area of the site accessible only to employees. As we planning to post blogs and articles for students, we want to implement the site with WordPress, which must seamlessly integrate with all other areas of our site.

2.2. “Online School” Component
Currently, this is implemented in a proprietary manner (i.e. not open source). We are looking to transfer/convert all of our online course material onto an open source LMS, i.e. Moodle. We would like to customize this Moodle part of our site to match the “look and feel” of our “Company” pages. Within this Moodle area of the site, we are considering to add features, such as a Virtual Classroom Software (i.e. DimDim), which will be used for group lessons as well as 1-on-1 tutoring. We would also like to integrate a Social Networking Site (such as Elgg or Facebook Groups). We are also seeking advice as to other learning tools that might be available and easily integrated into Moodle.

3. NECESSARY FEATURES

3.1. Search Engine Optimized
The site needs to be designed for Search Engine Optimization and consistent with our existing Google Adwords Campaigns.

3.2. Intranet
This area will be password protected and will provide static content such as employee policy handbooks, documents as well as training web pages that integrate audio and video content. The training web pages will also have embedded video content streamed from youtube.com university.

3.3. Social Networking
For the “company” component, we want to integrate blogs and the ability for users to post comments. The users should be able to share our blogs thru email, myspace, facebook, linkedin etc. For the “online school” component, we want to integrate an already-existing social network platform
