Problem: my mysql server crashes once a week due to agressive bots (google, baidu…)

I would like to run a little cron job evey minute to check mysql status that can bring mysql server back alive after a crash.

What I am looking for is a simple PHP script that will allow users to monitor there servers. There must be a MySQL backend to store the users, as well as the servers they add. The user will be able to specify ports they would like to monitor.

There must be a cron that will be setup to run every minute, it will check the status of each server, and will notify the owner of that server by email if any ports are down.

What I am looking for is a basic concept script, this script would continue to grow so I am looking for a programmer that is available and willing to continue to work on this project as needed in the future.

The purpose of the program…

1. This program MUST work on Windows XP, Vista and 7

2. The program should be able to monitor a single PC’s network traffic in real-time for p2p traffic taking place at any given time. If p2p traffic has been encountered then the program should popup a message on the bottom right and corner of the windows task bar.

3. Also the program should be able to find common p2p programs that a PC has currently installed to display details about them in a list, such as the “Name”, “Program Location”.

Not to sure what platform to use, so what ever would be easiest and compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7.
Preferred though would be C Sharp or Visual Basic.

I am in need of a very small piece of software written for a radio broadcast studio. We have a dual monitor computer, the 2nd monitor sits outside the studio. I need a piece of software that would run in the background, and when there is a contact closure on a specific pin on the parallel port, the monitor outside would display a full screen message. When the contact closure is released, the monitor outside will display a different full screen message.

The user interface should be a taskbar icon and menu, nothing more. The menu would contain options to change which monitor the full screen message appears on, as well as options to change the message and background color on the monitor. As well, I need to be able to choose which pin is on the contact closure.

This is being used as an On Air indicator. When the microphone is turned on, the monitor will display a full red screen, with “ON AIR – DO NOT ENTER” blinking. When the microphone is turned off, the monitor displays a full green screen, “ALL CLEAR”. I have a PHP script to do this, but I would like to interface with my board for automatic switching, and therefore need to have it controlled via the Parallel port.

I need windows app without GUI (it can be run from command-line)
1. it should connect to aol smtp
2. try to send message containing provided domain to provided aol username (directly without using any proxies)
3. a) if aol allows to send mail containing that domain the app should stop
b) if aol postmaster would show error HVU:B1 or HVU:B2 (http://postmaster.aol.com/errors/554hvub1.html) that means the domain is banned by aol smtp, then app should run .bat file selected by me which will be located in the same directory as the app.
After running the .bat file the app should stop.

So running from the command line can look like this:
aolchecker.exe -aolusername:test -domain:testtest.com -runbatfile:runit.bat

It can written in any programming language (c++, .net or whatever suits you best), it’s simple app so i’m looking for small bids.
I can provide some sample domains that are banned by aol to the picked programmer.

Anyone have experiences in redesigning the HYIP monitor? I want to redesign my HYIP monitor to be like List4hyip.com or Libertyhyip.com.

We’re looking for a command-line (terminal) application/daemon that we can run on Red Hat servers. It needs to listen to BitTorrent’s DHT Network activity (see http://bittorrent.org/beps/bep_0005.html for more information) and generate statistics on a consistent basis in XML format of File-sharing activity and user queries. We need to compile anonymous data of which users have which parts of which transfers (0-100% complete, chunks, etc.) for analysis.

There are a lot of open-source BitTorrent clients that could be modified to accomplish this task. I think this is a fairly simple project but the daemon needs to be stable and run constantly without crashing.

Key variables we’re logging:
1) Infohash of the torrent file (for tracking related torrents… the torrent file itself has the file list so we’ll know the information about each file)
2) The peer’s IP address and the port that they’re using (to prevent duplicates only, this will be discarded)
3) Binary data representing which parts of the file are in possession by the user and which are NOT.

All of this information should be available by monitoring DHT and I’m curious to see how successful we can be in joining the network and collecting this usage information.
Looking to accomplish this quickly in order to begin live-testing.

Platform: Preferably we’d like to run this on a Red Hat Linux machine in just a Terminal instance. It doesn’t matter how it runs as long as it’s fast and reliable.

This is a very small app to monitor statistics of a computer.
This will be a VB.net application writtin in VB and not C#.
Application will be a simple form with a button and a text control.
This information is very similar to Windows Task Manager
When button is pushed, the application will retrieve the following stats from the computer.

- Hard drives. It will list all hard drives, the size in MB and space available in MB
- Memory. It will tell the total memory and the memory used
- CPU – how many CPUs and the processing speed. Also, what is the each CPU usage at the time of the check.
- Network Cards – Each network card and the total utilization at the time of the check.

All code (except form) must be contained in a class library.
Source code must be provided.
