Joomla Micro Project

I need 2 small fix on my joomla site.

1. There is a front end article area that shows a small image and a couple lines of the article but when you click to read more an error comes up that says

Error in Server Connection.

2. the site requires signing in on almost every page and you need to cancel out to see the page.
