Repricing Script For Half And Amazon E-commerce Sites

July 1st, 2011 Comments off

I use a 3rd party program to sell CD’s & DVD’s on Amazon.com, Alibris.com, & Half.com
The 3rd party program is called “FillZ”
The re-price script must be coded in JavaScript (EMCAScript). Their system supports JavaScript 1.5.

as of today this script does the following:

ignores self
ignores sellers on AMAZON with less than 50 feedbacks
if item is New, match lowest price on AMAZON in New condition, OR price minus $1.00 of AMAZON’s price (whichever is lower)
if item is Used, match lowest price on AMAZON in ANY used condition, OR price to 30% below lowest New price, OR price $1.00 below Amazon’s price, (whichever is lower)
Floor price is $3.25
Ceiling price is $549.99

I sell on Alibris.com, Half.com, & Amazon.com. Right now the script only grabs pricing info from Amazon.com and uses that info for all websites. So for example if an item’s lowest price new price on amazon is $4.99, and the same item on Half.com’s lowest price is $12.99, and the same item on Alibris.com lowest price is $16.99, they ALL will be priced at $4.99 regardless. Because that’s how this script works. It only knows pricing information from Amazon.com & nothing else.

What I want is the same script to work for Amazon.com, Alibris.com, & Half.com but individually. For example I want to run this script based on Alibris’s, Amazon.com, & Half.com individually. I do not want to keep using Amazon.com pricing and throwing those prices on the other 2 websites. I want Alibris, & Half.com to have the CORRECT pricing information independently themselves.

Here is the script as of right now (works perfect if I ONLY sold on Amazon.com):

/* Fillz ID : XXXX
* Customer : XXXXXX
* OTRS : XXXXXX
*/

/* 1. ignore self
* 2. ignore sellers with less than 50 feedback
* 3. if item is New, match lowest price on Amazon.com in New condition or price to Amazon.com’s
* price minus 1.00, whichever is lower
* 4. if item is Used, match lowest price on Amazon.com in any Used condition, or price to
* 30% below lowest New price, or, price to 1.00 below Amazon.com’s price, whichever is lowest
* 5. floor is 3.25
*/

price = item.basePrice;
lowPrice = 0;
lowPriceNew = 0;
lowPriceUsed = 0;
discount = 0;
// 5.
priceFloor = 3.25;
priceCeiling = 549.00;
amzPrice = getAmazonPrice();

isFBA = isUsingFulfillment();

// 1.
ignoreAmzIDs = {
‘AQM04SR66Q2E0′ : 1, // My amazon ID
};

// 2.
ignoreFeedbackBelow = 50;

say(‘Item condition: ‘+item.condition);
say(‘Amazon price: ‘+amzPrice);
priceList = getPrices(‘all’);

if (priceList) {
for (pind=0; pind < priceList.length; pind++) {
seller = priceList[pind];
// 1.
if (ignoreAmzIDs[seller.sellerid]) continue;

if ( isFBA

Lowest Unique Bid Auction Site

Hello.

Project is being relisted due to the last programmer being completely dishonest and wasting my time with lies and deception. IF YOU ARE NOT HONEST, DO NOT BID ON MY PROJECT!!!

The price you quote is the price I will pay. DO NOT QUOTE ME ONE FEE HERE, AND THEN WANT MORE MONEY AFTERWARDS. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID THAT YOU CAN DO THE PROJECT FOR THE PRICE YOU OFFER!!!

I need a clone of the website littlebidtasty.com

It is a lowest unique bid auction site. It must contain all the features which littlebidtasty.com has. It will be up to you to research the features and implement them on my site.

The site must look unique and the design must match my domain name. Site design and logo design will be included in your bid. I have an example site for the site colours and design which I can give you to base it on.

Access to my server’s cpanel, ftp or ssh can be granted during the project as required.

I DO NOT WANT AN ILLEGAL NULLED SCRIPT!!!

Payment will be via your choice of paypal, moneybookers or google checkout AFTER completion of the project.

I reserve a 7 day period prior to payment to test the script and make sure it is functioning in all aspects, and also to have the script code looked at by a second programmer to ensure I am not paying for an illegal nulled script. I will not pay for anything illegal, so please do not try to sell me illegal scripts. The script code WILL be looked at by another independent programmer before payment is made to ensure this.

Thanks

Lowest Unique Bid Site

February 18th, 2010 Comments off

I am looking for a programmer / designer who can create a lowest unique bid auction website which will be based in the UK, based on a detailed brief which I am close to completing.

No auction timers are required for this site but instead each auction will require a percentage bar which I will need full control over the different values from within the control panel. This is so I can control the number of bids required to close the auction.

I’d particulary like to hear from programmers who have completed similar projects so the functional apsects of the project are understood.

Lowest Unique Bid Auction web site

CMS which allows easy and functional control of web site.

Security for customers and the continued high level functioning of web site.

SEO.

Intergraded payment gateways.

Site will not require timers, so will be more simple to make function correctly.

Graphically I have some ideas but am open to programmer’s ideas.

Script must be complete, completely functional, stable, and configurable.

Exact details to be given to winning bidder.

To speed up decision making process a list of past auction web sites created and references with contact info would greatly help.

Lowest Unique Bid Auction Script needed. Only those that have either a bug-free, complete or easily modifiable script in hand need contact us. Combo Time-lapse PLUS minimum number of bids OR minimum number of bids end the auction only. Don’t have any interest in timed unique bid auction scripts. If you don’t have a demo site and admin with login to show, do not respond. Prefer php/mysql, but would consider others if functionally worthy.

This website is an auction website platform which is best explained as being a virtual shopping channel. Bidding is done online, by telephone or by SMS. Customers can register to start biding or they can bid by text or phone without registering. All auctions are run in real time.

Customers will purchase packages of bids before they can start bidding (unless using txt or phone). Bids will have different costs depending on the number of bids purchased.

As soon as a bid is placed the system will work out whether the bid is; lowest but not unique or, Unique but not the lowest or, lowest unique bid. During the course of the auction these things can still change so for example a “unique but not lowest” could become the lowest as other bids are placed.

Fetching Web Data Into Epesi

April 1st, 2009 Comments off

Need a module working under EPESI custom platform. It will fetch/grab data on demand and daily basis from websites such as skapiec.pl, idealo.de, etc.
Data would have to be matched based on upc/ean, mpn, sku, product name, etc,… and displayed on a webpage with multi or single line items (if automatically can not be done it should be done manually).
The main goal is to scrape over 100 websites, rather close to 200. One scraper per website is fine as long as there is a configuration that will handle all the scrapers setting, etc.

Websites should contain:

Deliverables:
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer’s environment–Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer’s environment.
b) For all others including software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered “work made for hire” under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder’s Seller Legal Agreement).
4) NDA

Requirements:
1. Has to work under EPESI platform located at http://sourceforge.net/projects/epesi
2. Common identification of products such as UPC/EAN, MPN, SKU. If no identification of product found it will be matched by Title.
3. Whenever possible use functions already used in the system, no overhead accepted
4. Products that are scrapped (grabbed) from price search websites should be matched as per specification
5. Products need to have price search action button next to it in WMS module as well ability to search using autocomplete function.
6. New sites to scrap should be easy to add (no more than 2 hour of work to add new site by admin) and utilize plugins
7. Sites that are already done have to be configurable in order for admin to make script corrections
8. Websites categories should be matched with categories in wms and ecommerce module, therefore with a single click desired products from a chosen category should be fetched. Action button in WMS module.
9. Multiple fetching hosts. Hosts will fetch data from multiple websites locations and place it in the same db. Master module will command slave modules how, when ,and from which website to fetch the data. Master module will tell which fetching host to use for which website. It should alternate randomly hosts and report any problems through alerter in EPESI. Active hosts will redistribute the load if there are problems with fetching. (something like load-balancing)
10. Websites categories should be indexed and saved for future fetching requests. It will have to be done periodically and if any current settings are changed send alert through EPESI to inform admin in order to make changes.
11. Implement on the fly translation in order to match categories and products info being fetched as well matching should be done base on sample of products in the category if identification at point 2 of the req. is not available.
12. Data should be stored in the database for easy retrieval as per EPESI project manager specification
14. Real-time exchange rates updates for different currencies
15. Number of entries to calculate average prices needs to be configurable
16. All Displayed columns has to be sorted.
17. When action initialized:
a)It will collect data once a day as a whole system
b)As a Category (list of products)
c)As a single product
18. Ability to add, remove columns (data)

Pages should have:
1. Manufacturer, Model, Description, vendor, Category, Lowest Price from website (will calculate currency based on the default selected) and actual lowest price, show percentage of difference between the lowest value and the website value
a) Highlight in green the price that is the lowest and in the red that is the highest.
b) Ability to click on the price to go to the particular website’s product page
c) Ability to remove vendors that have unreal prices from website or have very low ratings

2. Manufacturer, Model, Description, Category, Average Price of 5 (configurable) lowest entries from website (using the selected default currency), Average Price of 5 lowest entries using original currency, show percentage of difference between the lowest ave 5 and the highest website price
a) Highlight in green the price that is the lowest and in the red that is the highest
b) Ability to click on the ave. price to go to the particular website’s products page
c) Ability to remove vendors that have unreal prices from website or have very low ratings

3. Product Name, Description, 5 websites with the lowest prices (default currency), price range of 5 lowest websites (default currency), price range of 5 highest websites (default currency), percentage between average of 5 lowest and 5 highest website prices (default currency)
a) Ability to click on price to go to the particular website’s products page
b) Ability to remove vendors that have unreal prices from website or have very low ratings

4. Reporting module to Generate reports from the data stored in the database
a) The reporting module will have to work similar to crystal reports. I can create my own reports and the data would be populated on the website. Charting is not necessary but if it goes with reports it would be ok.
b) Products that have the highest percentage difference

It has to be easy to integrate into a website (modular design) and have admin site to control the configuration.
All parameters used should be configurable as per EPESI module administration
Additional website (price search engine) should be easy to add. The data grabber website should run without locking up, be fast and responsive.
The operation of the module has to be user friendly.

Platform:
EPESI,PHP,AJAX,JAVASCRIPT and MySQL DB

Additional questions.

UPC/EAN matching, MPN matching, SKU matching matching. IF no identification of product found it will be matched by Title.

Title matching should be automatic base on the probability…

1. If All words are present it would be 100% match.
2. If at least 2 words are matched and the rest is not it would be 75% match.
3. If 1 word is present it would be 25% match.
4. No match

The percentage of matching does not matter at this point it would have to be worked out.
The base for text matching is a Title of the product.
Point 1. “Nikon D90″ present everywhere would be 100% match
Point 2. “Nikon D90 body”, “Nikon D90 korpus”, “Nikon D90 kit” 75%
Point 3. “Nikon lens”, “Nikon flash”, “Nikon P80″ 25%
Point 4. None would be left in the repository for matching or deletion.

All 100% matches would be done without manual intervention.
The 75% matches would be shown to the end user as the best suggestion and accepted or not. If not it would have to be matched with the remaining products.
The 25% matches would be shown to the end user as the best suggestion. If not accepted it would have to be matched with the remaining products.
If products is matched it should be remembered.

Example:

Initial project will have 3 websites:

1. www.pricegrabber.com
2. www.idealo.de
3. www.skapiec.pl

Here is the sample of a page for Nikon D90 that info should be pulled and matched,
I think the best way to grab and match the data is based on categories, here is the sample of photo category:

http://cameras.pricegrabber.com/digital/Nikon-D90-Black-SLR-Digital-Body/m90725732.html/search=Nikon%20d90/st=product/sv=title

Simple Excel Sheet

March 19th, 2009 No comments

DESIGN NOTES:

1. Columns c and d can be deleted as long as columns H and P are calculated correctly by dividing by 30.

2. There should be 30 rows 1 for each Expense category, plus the header and footer row.

3. The Total for Row F is a combination of Totals from
Row N and Totals from Row F.

Overview: The Idea behind this is that the user inputs Monthly Living Expenses, and Dream Lifestyle Expenses, as well as Monthly Income Streams.

Monthly income streams from both sides (BLUE and YELLOW) will effect monthly living expenses first (lowest dollar amount to highest), and then Dream Lifestyle Living Expenses (lowest dollar amount to highest).

Both the yellow and Blue Income streams will go FIRST toward meeting, and then exceeding the Yellow monthly Living Expenses side.

After the monthly living expenses side (yellow side) has been covered and exceeded by a combination of both or either of the Yellow or Blue income streams, then the income streams totals will be directed to the Blue Side Dream Lifestyle expenses.

If the income streams cover a expense (starting at the lowest dollar amount Living Expense monthly Yellow side), then the category field in column B would turn GREEN).

If the category is reached by the income streams, but not quite covered, then the field category would turn (YELLOW).

If the category is not even hit by the income streams, then the field category would turn (RED).

Once the user inputs the Living Expense Text Column and monthly Dollar amount, as well as the Dream Lifestyle Text column and Dollar amount, the GREEN [Click Here To Crush Your Job!] button is clicked, and the function would calculate all the rows and columns.

The exact calculations would also apply to the Blue Side Dream Lifestyle, after the Yellow side Monthly living expenses have been met.

It would be nice if a sound or visual effect could be added ..like a cash register adding up, and or Flashing [GREEN BUTTON].

Data Grabber Website

March 17th, 2009 No comments

Need a website that fetch/grab the data on daily basis from pricegrabber.com, idealo.de, skapiec.pl and other websites (should be able to add new websites, run it from different locations for distributed grabbing, and run based on categories selected) for sale assistance. Data would have to be matched based on a product name or sku, etc and displayed on a webpage in a row(if automatically can not be done it should be done manually).

Pages should have:
1. Manufacturer, Model, Category, Description, vendor, Lowest Price from pricegrabber (will calculate currency based on the default selected) and actual grabbed , Lowest price from idealo.de (will calculate currency chosen from the website) and actual grabbed , and Lowest price from other websites (will calculate currency chosen from the website) and actual grabbed. a) Highlight in green the price that is the lowest and in the red that is the highest. b) Remove certain vendors that have unreal prices or are untrusted. c) Show percentage of difference

2. Manufacturer, Model, Category, Description, Average Price of 5 (configurable) lowest entries from pricegrabber (will calculate currency chosen from the website and actual grabbed), Average Price of 5 (configurable) lowest entries from idealo.de (will calculate currency chosen from the website and actual grabbed), Average Price of 5 (configurable) lowest entries from from other websites (will calculate currency chosen from the website and actual grabbed).
a) Highlight in green the price that is the lowest and in the red that is the highest.
b) Ability to go over the ave. price and click on the price to go to the particular website
c) Next to prices in parenthesis put a percentage between lowest and website price.
d) All pulled data should be stored in the database for easy retrieval

3. Reporting module to Generate reports from the data stored in the database It has to be easy to integrate into a website (modular design) and have admin site to control the configuration. All parameters used should be configurable. Example i should be able to add a new column if needed. Additional website (price search engine) should be easy to add. The data grabber website should run without locking up, be fast and responsive. The design should be very simple and attractive.
