We placed a lookup tool on our site. It has a radius drop down. It appears to be working with the 10 and 20 mile radius. But the 50 and 100 mile radius doesn’t return the correct results.

In brief, we need an application that will search the local area and return a list of potential users and allow them to chat with each other in a “1 to many” way.

We are creating a site and need someone to help create our geo database.
We are using a number of different XML feeds from different suppliers and need to aggregate these into 1 master location database.

So that: Bangkok(supplier a) = Bangkok(supplier b) etc

The database needs to contain latitude and longitude.

We also require that when someone logs in through facebook connect the users city(location) is matched to our master location database.

The location database will also be matched to a flash map XML so that locations can be plotted on the flash map.

My WordPress site (http://bit.ly/rLEkEB) has the WP Geo Location plugin that we use to display satellite images for posts as well as the featured location on the homepage.

The issue is that the homepage uses Bing Satellite Map to display the location, but the plugin it pulls the coordinates data from is powered by Google Maps. Because of this, I’m having a difficult time getting the Bing Satellite Map to display just the way I want, in the center of the frame.

As a solution, I would like to integrate a Bing Satellite Map preview into the WP Geo Location plugin so I can preview what the map will look like and adjust the framing prior to publishing the post.

This software will consist of 2 parts:
-monitoring agent that runs on user computer and report location to web site
-web site that save reported location to DB and show it to user any time later

This software will use 3 methods to detect location:
1) GPS
2) IP detection (from where we can obtain ISP and username or new user)
3) ISP and username of new user detected by monitoring agent on client computer and reported to server computer so IP detection not used

Method #2 has patent protection in some countries so it will be possible to disable using this method and using method #3 instead.

This software will run undetectable on user computer or smartphone and every 24 hours make HTTP connection to our web site.

monitoring_center.php will detect IP address of these connections and save it to log file(time of connection, IP address, computer id, etc)

I need several fixes for my site. I will not post the url to it in public but I’ll be happy to send it to those who request it via PMB. It is an adult website but content is at a minimum right now. Many of these are small, requiring only a few additional MySQL entries.

1.) Remove all mentioning of the family filter. The script doesn’t need much modding for what I have in mind. Simply remove all links/mentioning of the filter & remove the option on the upload page for specifying the option.

2.) A few fields need added to /editprofile.php. These are:

Location (Under ‘birthday. Users should have 2 options, using radio buttons: Their location, based on IP, and “Do not show my location”). With IP, the city, state, country need to be displayed. The location should be written to the page ie not in a textbox; this would prevent users from changing it.
Sexuality (under ‘Gender,’ done with radio buttons, “Straight, Gay/Lesbian, Bisexual/Bi-curious”)

3.) Extra text needs added to the register page, letting ppl know they need to confirm their email address. Upon a successful registration, green text needs to appear, saying something along the lines of, “Thank you for registering. An email was sent to the address you specified. You must confirm your email address to complete registration.” Or in case of an error, a red “There were errors in your submission. Please try again.” message should appear.

4.) A few small things: On the user’s profile page, only ‘city’ and ‘country’ are listed. ‘State’ should be, as well. ‘Description’ should be rewritten as ‘About me’

I need a script that will work with the nimblekit iPhone SDK that will pull users current location or they can input location via zip or city and state and tell the sunrise and sunset for the given location.

I have a reverse bidding website very similar to this scriptlance site. But because we are selling physical services we need to integrate a feature whereby visitors can search for local jobs.

I want a search feature that will allow businesses to enter a post code and then it will bring up jobs within the specified area. eg 10 miles/50 miles/nation wide.

I already have the post code database imported to a table in my database.

This is the job criteria.
1. Add a postcode field to the customer sign up form to store this with their other details such as name/town etc. (very simple)
2. A table named ‘projects’ contains all the job request details. Eg. Window frame size colour etc. When a customer adds a job request we need some hidden fields containing their postcode and location inserting into the project table. This will allow us to search for projects by postcode/location.
3. We then need the search by location feature adding to the search bar on the home page.
4. We should be able to filter results based on distance from a specified postcode or town.
5. Search results table should have a new column headed “distance” and should be sortable.
