I’m looking at creating a automated script that logs in the website, looks for the status of the system and sends a command if needed.

This project is for a windows program that will validate youtube closed captions.

The user loads a youtube caption file (in either sbv or txt format), and the app checks it for errors.

Here is a sample of a youtube caption:

The format is a time stamp, that tells how long the caption appears, followed by one or two lines of text, followed by a blank line.

The time stamp follows this format:

0:00:00.000,0:00:10.500

This means zero hours, zero minutes, zero seconds and zero thousands of a second

0:00:00.000

zero hours, zero minutes, ten seconds and five hundred thousands of a second

0:00:10.500.

The validator should display any errors, and bring up the sbv or txt file to the place where the error is, giving the user

the option to change it manually. Once an error is fixed (bringing it into compliance with youtube’s format, the editor should move on to the next error.

A youtube caption file has one or two lines per caption.

The app should have a feature for cases where the caption has four lines. In this case, the app should be able to remove the first two of four lines, or the second of four lines. This feature is to allow translation of youtube captions to be put into the captions and then removed after they’ve been checked. Some translated captions will require different character sets, so this feature can’t depend on normal English characters. It should work by counting the number of lines after the timestamps.

It will have a check button that says: “Show me all sections that have more than two lines per timestamp.” This should be checked by default. In case a caption file has three lines for one time stamp, the user will be able to decide how to break up third sentence.

The status bar should show the file currently loaded.

The app should allow automatic fixing of missing blank lines.

The app should be re-sizable, so long lines of text can be displayed correctly. The field that displays the text of the caption file should have a ‘word wrap’ button to turn word wrap on and off.

It should have an ‘about’ button.

If you can add a spell checker (easy codes to find), that’s even better. Please communicte via PMB if you can do this. If not, just bid assuming that this feature will not be present. Make sure you have a drop-down menu showing which language is being checked. Why a Drop-down menu? Because more languages can be added that way, if YOU know how to do it. If not, bid without a spell checker.

Php Coder & Designer Neded For Modifications

First off, I am looking for someone with a good inderstanding of php as well as webdeisgn and webpage layouts in SSI & table format…

The attached files include a php script that displays around 3 or 4 different types of odds for several different sports.

Here is the explaination of how the script works

If you put all four of the included files in the same directory, the main page (lines.php) displays the odds. This PHP file then accesses the other three PHP files internally. Using the current script, you never need to access any files other than the lines.php from the browser (I WANT TO CHANGE THIS). After the lines.php page comes up, you can click on a sport at the top to display that sport and the link below the sport to select the different types of odds.

The sscript also pulls a CSS file (included at the top of the lines.php). I will need to download this and modify the styles to fit my sites layout and color scheme.

Also, the lines.php file contains the width of the table with the odds. It is currently set to 940 but it can also be adjusted.

So, the current script it very customizable.

Do not even bid on this projct without testing out and taking a look at the script on your server)…Type the words “I tested the odds script” and tell me the default color of the table with the odds on it so that I know you actually took a look at it.

However, I want to cusomtize it some more. Instead of the lines.php displaying all the different types of lines, I want a separate php page (for every different sport and for every different type of lines).

I also want to use this on my current site’s layout (but with a new php page for each diffent type of lines):

The problem is, the odds table in the script doesn’t fit too well in my current sites layout with that left had panel there

I also need to alter my current sites layout (which uses SSI panels) and remove the left hand panel (http://www.cappersinfo.com/live-odds/nba-basketball-lines.php) and create a new page layout for the script. Would like the new layout to use a SSI header that is similar to the header here; http://www.cappersinfo.com/ssi/forum_headernew.htm and put it in a new SSI file and a new layout that will work with the script.

I will need the designer to create a new layout for this script and make the modifications that I spoke of a above as well as;

-modiftying the design to fit the new layout
-creating new php pages for each different types of lines and sports (all the links in the line.php scrips); including making room in the new design layout around the odds table for a few banners, a lengthy descrption (of each different type of odds, etc.

If you took a look at the script and the page on my site, you ge the general idea of what I am looking for. when I am done, the script will no longer point to links like:

/lines.php?sport=XXX&period=X

It will point to a page like

/nba-basketball-spreads.php
/nba-basketball-moneylines.php

Program To Remove Duplicate Data From Txt File

The input file will contain anything upto 10,000 lines of data

About the Project:
This Project refers to a small PHP coding, in my existing wordpress Blog.

Requirement:
I want a function, that will pull random number of lines (say 1 or 2 or 3 or 4… till the total no of lines in text file) from the text file (“.” delimited). The Text file will be Hosted on My server.

Example: If the text file has 300 Lines in it, i want to pull say 3 r 4 or 5 Random lines from it. (No of random lines i want should be a parameter, so i can change it later).

This output will be an Input for one another Function (I have plug-in for this function). So the output must work in this Plugin Function.

Do let me know if you can do this. We start immediately.

Flash Image Mixer

Excel Automation Help Needed

I like to gamble on soccer games and I have my own statistical method of doing so and currently it take me a lot of time to do this so I’m looking for ways to automate the process to cut back on my time.

Currently I log into my sportsbook account and I copy all the soccer lines from there into an excel sheet. I then go through the sheet and apply my formats and criteria, eliminating data that doesn’t meet my specific criteria to come up with the end result.

What I’m looking for is a way to automate the process for me in going from step 1 to the end result.

I have attached an example excel spreadshseet. Look at sheet 1..this is what the data looks like once I have copied and pasted it from my online sports book. Sheet 2 is the end result.

Now the steps that I took to get from sheet 1 to sheet 2 are:
- delete all lines above the first country
- expanded column B
- deleted column D (column E then becomes D)
- center contents of columns C and D
- delete all sections that are not current date (assume current date is Dec 4 for this project)
- delete all sections that say (First Half Lines) or (Exact Score)
- go through columns C and D and only keep games in which the data is between -133 and -200
- not interested in the Draws so delete the lines of data in wich column B says “draw”
- insert line spacing in between countries to clean it up.
- make bold the country names data field to clean it up.

Your goal is to automate the steps for me.

Web Automation Application

Need a program written to do the following:

1. Log into a gmail/hotmail account (whichever is easier, no preference) and check for new messages every 10 seconds.

2. If a new message from specific user (will be coming from an online form), then open it.

3. Copy 3 lines of text in the message (from online form, so text will be in same location every time in message) The 3 lines of text are a phone number, each part should be saved as a different variable: XXX-XXX-XXXX format.

4. Open another tab where you will have to log in with information provided from an excel spreadsheet (2 columns- username/password)

5. Paste those 3 lines of text into 3 seperate fields after login

6. Go back to inbox (first tab) and check every 10 seconds for new mail

7. If new mail from different address (resulting from form just filled out) then open and copy 1 line of text (phone verification code)

8. Open up tab2 again and paste the 1 line of text.

9. Run batch file (from desktop), pause 15 seconds and go back to step 1.

Modify Adobe 9 Pdf Document

I have a single page Adobe PDF Fillable Form Document. This document is created in Adobe 9. This document has lines that separate the different text areas where the text is added and saved. I need the lines of the form removed, but I need the text areas to remain in the same exact place so I can input the text, save it, and print it. The result will be a form printed with text, but no lines.

When I print the form, I only want to see the information I printed, and not the lines of the form. This will allow me to type information in this form, then place a printed form with lines in my printer, printing only the information on the blank form with lines.

This will allow me to fill out a blank form waiting in my printer with the text from the form with the removed lines.

Simple Windows Application

Software is called Desktop TrendLine Drawer.

It allows the user to draw straight lines on the screen with their mouse like you can in Paint, anywhere on the screen and on top of any applications running.

The line should be perfectly straight when drawn diagonally.

When a line is drawn, it can be re-selected, moved, lengthened or shortened, deleted etc

Simple Java – Problem Solving

The program Lab1.java can automatically test a sorting algorithm, that can be specified by a command line argument:

java Lab1 quicksort

(the other possibilities for command line argument the program understands are insertionsort and mergesort)

In order to run this program you need to download lab1.zip and compile all the classes.

The program generates 5 random arrays of each size 500, 1000, 1500, …, 10000 and records the average execution time for each size. The partial results and the averages are printed to the screeen and to a file NameOfAlgorithm.dat (this file has most of the lines commented away for the program gnuplot you will be using. The only interesting lines are the ones registering the averages.)

You can warm up for the lab by using Lab1 as above and then plotting the results with gnuplot:

Start gnuplot by choosing gnuplot from the programs menu. It starts a window where you can give commands to gnuplot. To exit just type exit.
Go to the directory where your data files are by typing

gnuplot> cd ‘dirname’
Plot the datafiles by typing
gnuplot> plot “QuickSort.dat” with lines

This will make gnuplot go fullscreen. To return to normal mode press the ESC key and then do Alt-Enter.

Define a class Experiment.java with a little main to test QuickSort for big arrays. Your program should run QuickSort for sizes 50000, 100000, 200000, 400000, 800000. You will then get in the file QuickSort.dat values for T(50000), T(100000), T(200000), T(400000), T(800000). You should find out what approximation of O(N), O(N log(N)), O(N^2) fits your experiments better. This can be done by calculating T(N)/N, T(N)/Nlog(N), T(N)/N^2 for the given sizes and examining which one converges better.

Your class Experiment should extend Lab1 so that in your main you can use all the protected fields and methods (you only have to redefine main!)

In this exercise you will use Lab1.java as it is to get values for Insertion Sort, Merge Sort and Quick Sort (you will have to run the program three times, once for each algorithm).

a)Plot each of the files QuickSort.dat, MergeSort.dat and InsertionSort.dat using gnuplot as indicated above

b)Plot merge and quick sort together doing
gnuplot> plot “QuickSort.dat” with lines, “MergeSort.dat” with lines

c)Plot all three experiments together doing
gnuplot> plot “QuickSort.dat” with lines, “MergeSort.dat” with lines, “InsertionSort.dat”

Predict what the best case for insertion sort is (by analyzing the algorithm). Program an experiment to explore the execution time for insertion sort for its best case and report the results. Does the experimet confirm your prediction?

Magento Dropdown Store Lists

Need a quick magento module to list store locations. There are two avail ( http://bit.ly/18Pca1 and http://bit.ly/eHi74 ) but they do search and mapping and don’t 100% work.

Like the Chained Ajax stuff, with drop down boxes based upon previous data select. Something like these:

Where would have drop-downs start start with:

Would need to work with major browsers and need ASAP. Don’t need Magento Admin access for created/edited store locations, will do that within phpmyAdmin, just the front end code.

Vector Tracing Work

I am looking for someone who can create traced files for me. This is consistent work as I need 1000′s of them over the next year.

I would prefer they come to me in .dwg format.

I am attaching files to show you what type of work this is for and how it progresses. Typically you will trace a photo that I provide, then you will divide it into layers and clean it up to the specifications below:

The requirements for this work is that there cannot be a lot of cutout sections on the inside of the file. All lines should be a minimum of 1 cm apart from eachother. All files should be aprox. 60 cm high. Lines cannot be doubled up. All corners should be rounded without any points. No lines can intersect each other!

These are cut out of metal to make different products as one of the pictures show.

Payment will be made after the work is successfully completed to the specifications. This is easy money once you get the hang of it.

This project is for a test run of 10 drawings. If these are successfully done, I will give you a LOT more work on a consistent base.

Chart Animation

We have a static graphic the has an X axis and a Y axis. The main different from a regular chart is that it is rotated 45 degrees. Here is a link to an example of the chart:

Part 1: The animated lines
Someone sees this chart on a “results” page after they have taken a quick that returns a value for each axis. What we would like to see is an animation of the results, where a red line starts on each access at the appropriate points and then they continue towards the point on the graphic which is the final point.

So, for example if their E Score was 30 and their J Score was 80, then a line would start on 30 on the main “E” axis and draw until it reached the 80 on the “J” access. At the same time, a line would start at 80 on the “J” axis and continue until it reached 30 on the “E” access. When those two lines meet, a dot would form.

Part 2: Non-animated version

We also want to be able to display a non-animated image of this that shows the lines on the chart meeting up with a dot where they intersect. It should look the same as the last frame of the previous animation.

We are open to either a Flash or Javascript animation of this. To either script we would pass the E value and the J value, along with the URL to the base chart (in case we make any changes to the look of the base chart … we want it easy to swap out.) NOTE: We will keep the locations of the points of the base chart the same … we may just change out some colors etc.

basically what i need is a shell script that works on RHEL/Solaris/HPUX if you can make it work on windows, that will be great as well.

input: CSV files that can have a variety of delimiters, varies from file to file:
example1: “header1″;”header2″;”header3″;

requirement: basically, i am only interested in the headers, which is the first line of the csv file.

i need use the headers to create a script, example:

your script should be able to output about 5 different kinds of fixed output lines with only the header argument being different into a file.

Closest Birthday

The Problem
It’s the first day of class and you are barely awake. You are hoping to snooze through a typical syllabus day when your new teacher commands you to get up and find the person in the room with the closest birthday to yours. Luckily, you’ve taken AP Computer Science already and realize that the key to solving the problem is to sort EVERYONE by their birthday, and then simply look directly to the left and right of you (the birthday that occurs immediately before and after yours) and see which of the two is closer. If you on the end of the list, you have to check with the person at the beginning and vice versa.

In order to solve this problem, you’ll get several different classes from an input file. Each class will have several queries. You are required to implement either Merge Sort of Quick Sort in the solution of your assignment.

Input File Specification (birthday.txt)
The input file has a single positive integer, n, on its first line, specifying the number of classes in the input file.

The first line of each input file will have a single positive integer k (k < 1001), representing the number of students in the class. The next k lines will have information about each student. Each line will have the following information separated by spaces: first name, last name, month, day and year of birth. All names will only contain uppercase alphabetic characters and be no longer than 29 characters long. The month will be represented in its full spelling, in uppercase letters. The day and year will be the appropriate integers. You are guaranteed that all of this information is valid. (Thus, no April 31st will appear, etc.) It is also guaranteed that each full name will be unique. (Namely, no two people in a class will have the exact same first AND last name.)

Following those k lines will be a line containing a single positive integer m (m < k), representing the number of queries for that class. The following m lines will contain the first and last name (separated by a space) of the student in question. (Your goal will be to find the name of the student with the closest birthday to the queried student.)

Output Specification
For each input class, print out a header with the following format:

where c represents the day of the simulation (1 ≤ c ≤ n).

Follow this with a blank line.

The following k lines will answer the queries for that class in the order they were given. For each of these queries, output a single line with the following format:

FIRST2 LAST2 has the closest birthday to FIRST LAST.

where FIRST LAST is the name of the queried student and FIRST2 LAST2 is the name of the student with the closest birthday to FIRST LAST.

To avoid ambiguity, sort the students in the following manner:

1) By birthdate, ignoring the year.
2) To break ties between students with the same exact birthdate, use last name as compared by the strcmp function.
3) To break ties where both #1 and #2 are the same, use the first name, which in these cases, is guaranteed to be different.

To further avoid ambiguity, if both the person who appears right before and right after the queried person are the same number of days away (in birthday) as the queried person, always choose the first who comes AFTER the queried person in the array. Note: for these purposes, February 29th won’t count as an actual day, unless someone in the class has that birthday. For example, if the queried person’s birthday is March 1st, the person right before her has a February 28th birthday and the person right after her as a March 3rd birthday, then the person with the February 28th birthday is considered the closest (1 day way) as compared to the March 3rd birthday (2 days away). BUT, if there IS a February 29th birthday in the class, then that does count as a day.

Put a blank line between the output for each case.

Implementation Restrictions
You must store all the relevant information about a student in an appropriate struct. You must implement either Merge Sort or Quick Sort. You must follow all the tie-breaking procedures described above.

A university lacks a credible grocery store on campus. After a year of getting lousy over-priced food in the convenience store in the Student Union, you and all of your friends are frustrated. One of your friends majoring in business comes up with the brilliant idea of opening a grocery store on campus. But, they need your help to decide if their idea is viable or not. Your job will be to run various simulations of customers in line.
