I’m having an issue when a member submits an ad using curl.

When a member submits an ad (1 ad) when it post
to the parnter sites SOMETIMES it post MULTIPLES
of the same ad at the partner sites. It has posted
up to 4 of the same ad. It does not happen all the
time. We are posting to 116 partner sites at this time
and growing. I need someone to take a look at the code
I’m using and see if you can do it in a better way.

I have a large directory of images, many of which are no longer used. Those that are used are referenced in my sites database. Some of these images are large and have large file sizes.

I would like to create a script or file that i can place in my image directory, and it will do the following:

If the image is not in the database it will be deleted, if it is in the database it will be re-sized (the re-size should reduced file-size as well)

Server is Linux (CentOS), apache, php5 suexec
Must be able to be re-used on multiple websites.
Progress bar that updates while the file is being uploaded, shows actual percentage progress
Handle large files (up to 200MB)
Ability to specify allowed file types
Ability to change allowable upload size.
When file upload is complete, an email is sent to us with the details of the upload.
Must work in IE7+, FF4+, Safari(Mac) and Chrome

The form that requests the uploaded file should also ask for this info, and include it in the email message:

The goal of this project is to import a very large set of data (10,000,000 records) on a daily basis, from 2 CSV files stored on the server.

I have an instance of Joomla with the Phoca Gallery component installed. I have recently modified this component extensively. I have the gallery setup with a layout like the attached file.

What I need is for the main image to be clickable and a larger version of the image is shown in either LightBox or ThickBox WITH the left and right arrow navigation being active so they can scroll though the images straight from LightBox/Thickbox.

Once note. When I modified the gallery to appear like the attached screen shot I used the “large” image that Phoca Gallery makes. By Default, Phoca Gallery creates 3 sizes of images when the images are uploaded : Small, Medium & Large. You will have to make the LightBox/ThickBox utilize the Large image, use the Medium image where you see the larger image in the attached file and then the small image in the right hand layout.

We have a large number (approx 2,600) of images. (My client is a greetings cards company and all the images will be uploaded to their website – but this will be done by their staff, our end). The images are divided into several folders. Within each folder, some images are tifs, some are pdfs, and some are jpgs. We need them all to be saved as jpgs.

This is an easy job, but it does require care, since the images are in different formats, and we must not miss any out. We need all of them in jpg format, and all of them saved in the right folder.

I’m working on helping a large Christian News website come up with some very specific strategies to help them get more traffic, get more engagement from their traffic and monetize their current traffic better.

This is a larger website (around Alexa 15k when you add in sub sites)

The website has tons of great content and they’ve been making online and offline content for literally decades now.

NOTE: They already are #1 or on the front page of google for many keywords.

Some competitors with less quality and quantity of content are getting more traffic right now and I think with some effort and guidance it’s possible to even double the traffic and even triple the revenues.

What I’m looking for is someone who has done this type of work before. Someone who can fully study a LOT of data and help come up with great actionable tasks that are very well spelled out. In being being spelled out, I’m not asking for just suggestions like “improve your use of bold tags” and “submit your articles to aggregators”. I’d like to use the thin slice component ( http://upload.thinfile.com/resume/ ) instead of the one we’re currently using now. Documentation on it is at http://upload.thinfile.com/docs/

Basically, once logging in, users type in who they’d like to email the file to, perhaps a ‘message’ go go along with it, and select a file. Once they hit submit and upload, I want thin upload to upload the file. Once it’s completed, the script will email the user that it’s been completed.

All of the functionality has been completed except I want to change the current upload method for Slice Upload, as that will allow me to get past my servers php.ini max file upload limits. all the page design and html has been done also. Just have to make it work with thin upload.

Basically it’s a list of potential acquisitions and/or partners in a particular category.

Some sites are clearly part of a large company (e.g., AOL) and not really appropriate. Others are included in the list but aren’t really relevant (e.g., dating sites). And still others are relevant and not part of large companies, but probably too large to reasonably cut a deal with.

I’ll eventually need WHOIS data for the smaller set that I’d like to contact, so perhaps some automation with WHOIS is possible, but I really think at the end of the day someone will have to visit each and every site on the list and sort the list manually.

Here is what we need to do: Each small image (A, B, C, and D) will have 3 LARGE images associated with it (A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, etc…), and a block of text associated with each large image (The block of text that you see to the right of the large image in the attached file).

On initial page load, the large picture will rotate in a fade-in/fade-out fashion in the following order: A1, B1, C1, D1, A2, B2, C2, D2, A3, B3, C3, D3, A4, B4, C4, D4, A1, B1, etc….When the large picture changes, so will the block of text to the right of it.

Now, if the user mouses over one of the four images along the bottom of the page, the slideshow will change. For example, if the user mouses over image C, then the slideshow will begin to rotate C1, C2, C3, C1, C2, C3, etc… When the user mouses out, the slideshow will go back to normal rotation, from where it left off (IE, if the user mouses out when the slideshow is on C3, then the slideshow will resume with D1, D2, D3, A1, A2, etc…)

It is important that the transitions on mouseovers are done smoothly and that the slideshow effect includes a fade-in/out pattern.
