Javascript/php Calendar Update

October 16th, 2009 Comments off

Hi there,

I have a javascript calendar which allows a user to add a date to the database in the following format – ’09-july-2009′. However, in addition to this I need another date to be added to a seperate field in the database formatted like this ‘dd/mm/yyyy’. This needs to be done at the same time.

In other words, the user selects a date from the calendar once, and two versions of the date are submitted to two seperate field in the database, when the form is submitted.

This function appears on two forms, and will need to be added to both. One forms is an INSERT guery, the other an UPDATE query.

I can give FTP access, not PHP admin access.

Ajax Expert Needed

September 2nd, 2009 Comments off

I need a programmer that is very competant with javascript, php and ajax technologies. I have a website that generates a PHP code snippet for a user to place on their website. Our content then appears on the 3rd party website where the snippet was placed.

Your job will be to generate a “javascript” code snippet which the user can place on their site. If you have ever used adsense it is a similar type of thing to the code snippet they use. (although our content is not text/banner ads like Google’s is) More details in the PMB.

E-commerce Site Improvements

July 10th, 2009 Comments off

I need a programmer who is highly skilled in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, and HTML to work with me the following project to improve my e-commerce web site. This project has 3 parts, and I estimate it will take about 2 weeks of full-time work for a single programmer. I need the following work done:

1. creation and integration of a fairly straightforward “Search” feature for my web site that will query an existing MySQL database, based on user form submission, and return those results to the user. This will search the product database of my site. You will need to integrate the “Search” feature into the HTML code and JavaScript of my web site.

2. integration of PayPal Checkout into my custom PHP/MySQL based shopping cart. I already have the subroutines written for PayPal Checkout from an old version of my shopping cart. You would simply need to extract those subroutines from the old cart’s code and integrate them into the new cart’s code. The cart code is nearly identical, so this project should not be too hard.

3. creation of multivariate/A-B testing tool using JavaScript to help optimize the conversion/sales rate of products on my web site. I know exactly how I want this feature to work. I already have some code I can share with you to get you started. This project will require you to have expert JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL experience. You will also need very strong HTML skills.

This is potentially a long term relationship depending on how things go with this project. I need someone who is trustworthy, reliable, and not distracted with other projects at this time, as this will require your full-time attention for at least 2 weeks.

As you can see from my feedback rating and comments, I am a long-time ScriptLance user with a perfect feedback score (10/10). I go to great lengths to treat my programmers fairly and pay them competitively. I have substantial IT/programming project management experience, so you can expect me to communicate very effectively and clearly with you on what is expected. You need to have Google Talk installed on your computer so that we can keep communication throughout the day.

NOTE: PLEASE BID YOUR HOURLY RATE: If you decide to bid, please bid for your HOURLY RATE. (Please note I am very sensitive to price, so please bid accordingly.) If you bid the right amount and can start immediately, I may end the bidding early and select you. After I select you, I will work with you (paying you by the hour) to document the requirements for this project in sufficient detail until we both have a clear understanding. Once that work is completed, you will provide me with a quote of how many hours it will take you to complete the project. I will pay you that amount upon completion of the work and successful integration of the code onto my site’s server. This is a work-for-hire project, so I will exclusively own the code that you write for me.

In your bid comments, please write the word “Excel” so that I know you speak English and have read these requirements. Thank you, and I look forward to working with you and developing a long-term professional relationship!

Php Mysql Sort & Loop Edits

June 29th, 2009 Comments off

Hello and thank you for taking the time to look over this post. I have a very simple project it should only take a skilled coder no longer then a hour or two to complete. I would complete this myself but I do not have any more time to search the boards and solve myself Time is now becoming a issue.

With that being said I would like any programmer to heavily comment their code So I can review and Help me better understand PHP and MYSQL.

Now for the project There are two basic problems I need addressed. I am working on a site that that caters to temporary corporate housing. I have built the first part of the content management system, and the first problem I need addressed is part of the add a new property section. The problem is the user has to upload a image to the server on one paged called imageUpload.php. On this page there is a simple script that uploads the image to the server ,re-sizes it and creates a thumbnail then save both images to the server. But currently the user must remember the image file’s name and its extension and put its info in the form field on the InsertPropertyInDatabase.php.

I want the upload script to both upload the file and put it’s name in the database all on one form on the same page. I do not want to have to use the page imageUpload.php at all I want the to combine both pages. I know this can be done through php’s loop function fairly easily. This is a problem on two sperate pages that needs to be addressed.

The second problem I have is I just need some one to build/code some basic mysql quearys for the property listings page. Currently the property master page is set to display each property by ID in DESC order. I just need the following search options,

SEARCH BY: STATE, CITY, PROPERTY NAME, ZIP CODE,

I would like each of the above as separate categories in

Javascript/php/sql Rewrite

June 7th, 2009 Comments off

I need a way to rewrite Blogger image URLs within of Blogger blog posts that have been imported into a WordPress blog.

Here’s my test site:
http://learntobeyourownva.com/wordpressdemo

I wanted to do this via a find-and-replace in the database (using SQL) but I’d need to use wildcards. The reason is that the Blogger image URLs are not uniform. EVERY image path is different, and are even of different lengths. This is not a matter of replacing “blogspot.com/images/” with “mysite.com/images.” The blogger URLs look like this:

2.bp.blogspot.com/_nFEzEYMd80A/SP0nKklImcI/AAAAAAAAADU/0w2bIvOKPzc/s1600-h/DSC01082.jpg
3.bp.blogspot.com/_nFEzEYMd80A/Se-OICBRo2I/AAAAAAAAAFk/e44NXhAixI0/s200/1240426026577.jpg

Those images are on the SAME PAGE. Note how the paths are completely differnet, and therefore cannot be replaced without wildcards. The only way to replace them is with some sort of wildcard pattern-match, like replacing:

http://*blogspot.com/*/*/*/*/*/

with

http://mysite.com/images/

BUT, SQL won’t allow wildcards in the replace function, or so I’m told.

So, I’d like either:

1. (Ideally) A way to find and replace in the DB using wildcards that I don’t know about,
or,
2. Some kind of PHP or Javascript snippet that will rewrite the URLs on the fly. In this case, I’d leave the DB alone, but the script would rewrite the image URLs as the page loads.

To see all of this in context, please visit the test blog I set up at http://learntobeyourownva.com/wordpressdemo

I’d actually like to rewrite the entire linked snippet for each, which looks like this:

<a onblur=”try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}” href=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_nFEzEYMd80A/Se-OICBRo2I/AAAAAAAAAFk/e44NXhAixI0/s1600-h/1240426026577.jpg”><img style=”margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 200px;” src=”http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_nFEzEYMd80A/Se-OICBRo2I/AAAAAAAAAFk/e44NXhAixI0/s200/1240426026577.jpg” alt=”" id=”BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5327633152834904930″ border=”0″ /></a>

with a simple image tag:

<img src=”http://mysite.com/images/1240426026577.jpg”>

It needs to be generic enough (using wildcards) that it will rewrite all of those ridiculous Blogger image blocks of code, in all of their varied lengths and manifestations.

Totally pulling my hair out. Anyone who solves this will be my personal hero.

Thanks in advance.

Simple Javascript/php Question

May 21st, 2009 Comments off

I have the following code posted in a template in drupal. Its for a JQuery slider. Its in the template for adding a node, and works just fine, for setting the value. The problem however, is if you edit the node – the slider doesn’t show the value which already exists (even though it won’t change it if its not moved). How can I make it check to see if there is already a value?

First one to answer this gets the $

CODE:
<script type=”text/javascript”>

var slider1Value = 3;
var slider1Min = 1;
var slider1Max = 5;

$(document).ready(function(){

$(“#slider2″).slider({
min:1,
max:5,
‘minValue’: slider1Min,
‘maxValue’: slider1Max,
value: slider1Value,
‘slide’: function(e, ui){
$(‘#edit-field-sleep-value’).val(ui.value);
}
});

$(‘#edit-field-sleep-value’).blur(function(){
var slider1Value = +this.value;

Recaptcha/javascript/php Bug

May 6th, 2009 Comments off

Am trying to add a recaptcha to an existing website but for some reason one of the forms doesn’t like having it added.
I’ve added it to two of the forms on the site but this last one I believe the javascript may be interfering in some way but I’m not very fluent in js. It says it’s been accepted but the email doesn’t get sent.

How it should work
- user clicks on “online booking form” button
- javascript event causes contact form to appear (current functionality)
- user fills in form, clicks Verify
- recaptcha form appears, and a submit button (verify button disappears)
- if recaptcha entered correctly, email is sent, if not, error is shown.

Javascript/php Forms Css

March 21st, 2009 No comments

Thank you for your consideration.

Experienced Web Programmer needed who understands “Best Practices” for JavaScript/PHP forms and CSS.

Cards Creative is a custom photo announcement company that obtains our orders through stationery stores and photo studios. These businesses have purchased our album which shows examples of our cards, (like choosing a wedding announcement only with photos). Customers view the album, decide on their desired card options, and fax us/email their order with attached images. We then create their custom cards. This process is ripe for automation.

We have begun creating a “tabbed” web-based orderform for our card company that hopefully will be able to take advantage of Adobe Indesign plug-ins to automate, speed and increase the accuracy of the creation of our custom cards. Due to the inherent and large level of customization involved with every card order, the web form will NOT create the card for viewing and approval online or perform e-commerce functions – it will merely take the order as accurately as possible, capture all relevant data, and make the process as quick, easy and intuitive as possible.

The form has to write to a database of some sort (CSV may be enough) that is compatible with EasyCatalog’s Adobe Indesign Plugin: http://www.65bit.com/products/easycatalog/overview/overview.shtm. You will NOT be responsible for creating or connecting the EasyCatalog plugin part. But you will need to be aware that the form must write something that EasyCatalog can make use of. Actually, if this all works, I may need your help in connecting the plugin dots, but that comes later.

(The point of the plug-in is it should be able to pull the “low hanging fruit” from the order form and automatically construct a rough card with correct card style, bkgds, font, text &amp; photos in the proper place, etc. then the designer comes in and makes it look great. The idea is for the form to create or write to a database that can be used to ease and speed the creation of our cards with less mistakes and redundant actions for the designers.)

My main concerns are making the form bullet-proof across browsers and keeping it as intuitive and elegant as possible using “Best Practices”. This may involve a wholesale rewrite of the existing code, and probably will. But the form as it exists now is a very accurate “Spec” to start from.

Knowledge of “Best Practices” and “Gotchas” in both CSS and JavaScript-based web forms will be paramount. If you have a different programming method (Pearl?, Rails?) that will achieve the same or better results, I’m open to that as well. Design experience on the web will be helpful and considered. Possible long-term relationship for ongoing work. I am open to any and all suggestions to make the form better based on your experience. Please provide a detailed estimate and time-table.

Please send your contact information, with URLs and describe your specific responsibilities. Full specs with a url leading to the work-in-progress will be provided after initial vetting to facilitate an accurate bid.

All the best,

Ewen

Simple Task For My Website

March 19th, 2009 No comments

this is an easy task for someone with javascript/php experience.

I need a feture similar to this page http://www.unlimitedps3downloads.com/ when you click on top games a list of games come up, then click on one of the games and it will say ‘please wait connecting to database your download will start shortly’with a spinning logo, then after a couple of seconds it says Unable to connect to Database
Error 506: Unauthorized Access
Please Login or Register to continue

This is what I want adding to my site www.anygamedownloads.com so when you click on one of my games under WII,PS3 and PSP it will come up with same thing but it will say accessing psp database and accessing PS3 daatbase depending on which one you clicked.

This is an urgent project and really needs to be completed today.

Thx
