Write Ebook On Restaurants
I attach research I have done on Underground Restaurants. Please read it to get an idea of what they are (also called supper clubs).
Please quote for using this information and any other research you may propose to do, to write me an ebook called an “Introduction to Underground Restaurants” (URs)of 15 to 20 pages (500 to 600 words per page), but tell me if you think it should be shorter.
I will use this to give away as a free ebook in return for my visitors on my website www.undergroundrestaurants.com while I find out from them through that list what they are looking for. All copyright and authorship will be attributed to me.
The ebook which is for diners (not for the restauranteur or chef) should make an interesting and fun read. I would like it to play up the “unregulated” and “secret” and gourmet aspects, but it should also make it clear that the web site owner/ebook writer DOES NOT sanction illegality.
I am not planning to run a supper club myself or an underground restaurant club, but I will provide information and services to those wishing to join a club and go to underground restaurants, and to those that want to set up their own underground restaurant.
It should:
1. Explain the idea of URs. Why they are “underground”. Why they may in the past have contravened hygiene/food safety regulations but say that the diner and “underground restaurateur” should at all times be sure to comply with the local regulations. (You will understand that I do not want the web site to be shut down for illegality and my web host for one would shut down the site if it was seen as promoting illegal activity so please be very careful to make it clear that no such illegal act such as operating a restaurant which does not comply with licensing, sales of food regulations, or requirements for menus to be written in certain ways, are condoned – in fact a statement should be included within the ebook to that effect.)
2. Give some fun/naughty/gourmet/unusual/trendy/fashionable/cheap examples (use the research for ideas but use your imagination to change/rewrite specific examples in the research files provided to make them “generic” examples and not subject to any copyright concerns.
3. Give general ideas about how to find them in your/the reader’s area. (I think that reading the attached text should help you with this.)
4. Give some guidance about cost and etiquette (eg be patient, sign-up, and wait for a booking etc.)
5. Give some examples from the research of some of the events which have taken place already, and leave them feeling dead keen to participate.
6. If possible add in something viral so that they will want send the free ebook to their friends, and say thanks to them for for joining my list, and that they will be receiving more information from the web site via email on more information and services to diners and UR restaurateurs.
I am not sure how I will develop this web site further and will want to see that my list is growing sufficiently before then moving the project forward.
Let me know with your bid response if you have follow-on ideas for paid products to sell to the list, then please tell me your proposals when bidding. (For example – would you be able to write a second ebook for the chefs wishing to start an underground restaurant. maybe, there is an existing or past restaurant owner or chef who will bid and could do his?)
My main aim is appoint a really good writer at this stage, who can write engaging light hearted (and enjoyable to read) text on this subject, but please tell me if you have priced to include ebook formatting contents page and graphics and cover designs in the package. The minimum of writing ONLY in your bid is OK, but if you are FIRSTLY a good writer, but also offering ebook formatting and graphics that would make my work easier and I would take that into account when assessing bids.
I would like to select my preferred author/bidder and then when I inform them of my choice, for them to be willing to write me a proposed contents page and 500 words (which can be the introduction to the ebook), before I confirm appointment. Please do not bid if you would find writing the contents and that first page for me on a speculative basis unacceptable. I will undertake not to use the content you send me. it would be content which would remain your copyright of course, should I decline at that time to appoint you.
I would like this project completed in first draft and sent to me within 7 days of instruction when my payment will be in the Escrow, but if you need longer please be realistic and tell me now. I must say that I will give a poor review for lateness if the reason is not explained in advance and understood by me. Most delays can be forgiven, but must be explained first please.
