A while back we had a problem with a virus breakout on our website. We thought we had eliminated it, but it once again modified some of our most important files, including our index.html page. What it seems to be doing is adding js code to certain files, so far all we know about is our main index file and the index file of a subdomain. We think this came from a security hole in our photo gallery (Coppermine Photo Gallery), so the search will start there.

As far as we know, this has effected us in 2 locations, although there may be more we do not know about. First, ‘Trojan.JS.Pakes.bh’ (from www/index.html) and ‘language=”javascript”>$=’ (from www/poker-network/index.php). It looks like the code was manually added but perhaps one of our many JS files or something else have been corrupted?

We need a professional to help diagnose, remove this virus AND prevent it from coming back. NOTE – We do not feel comfortable giving someone we do not know full FTP access to our server. We will create a copy of the main directory we believe the problem resides in and you can search and make the fixes here. The winning bidder must understand that they have to find and fix this issue without ftp access. (Although you will not have full ftp access, you can work in real time with someone who will have ftp access [over gtalk, msn, aim, skype, etc.])

In a nut shell, I installed a lot of different php template sites, under one domain name, each site in it’s own folder.

I would like for the index.html page in the root folder (which has no website) to have a thumbnail of each of the sites in all the folders, with a link to that particular site.

I think it’s better if the index page is created before hand, not dynamically, especially since I plan to keep adding more sites in new folders, so I want to be able to re-create the index page whenever I want.

So basically, I’m looking for a script/program that would go to each first level folder, one by one, (and not further into sub-folders), read the index.php page, create a 100×100 snapshot/thumbnail of what the index.php would deliver, (save a thumbnail file in a folder in the root directory?), create the index.html page for the root dir (3-4) thumbnails per row (variable that I can change), and hyperlink to the appropriate page.

I should be able to run this program whenever I want, and it would re-create the entire index.html file, this way if I change the php templates or images, the thumbnails on the .html will also change. (Overwrite of the new thumbnail is fine.)

I have a series of 700+ index.html/css pages I wish to alter by taking the main table of the existing page, and cutting and pasting it into a new monetized index.html page.

The reason for this work is to (a) add standadized advertisments to all of the old pages, (b) to easily change the background color/tone/image of the site, but not the page, and (c) give all the sites a “family” housetyle without disturbing the existing HTML code.

These new index.html files should also have their own common CSS file.

In other words, each new monetizized index.html page should contain a new header and advertising tables, along with all the old SEO, content-type, title, keywords, css link, meta data etc, plus a new favicon loader, together with the main table from one of each of the 700+ old pages.

I would like (preferably) a PHP script that will do the following:

1. Go out on the internet and import each of the 700+ “index.html” files from their individual URL addresses (url list supplied)

2. Rewrite each file as specified above.

3. Define the header text font, size, weight, color in the css file.

4. Define the background color of each page per domain/subdomain.

5. Select which 5 CIS logos is to be insert per domain/subdomain.

6. Insert XOpen code snippet for each Ad position.

7. Save locally in a seperate directory, together withe appropriate CSS file, for each of about 50 domain/sub-domains.

For an example of what the final monetized index.html should look like go to www.cisbackgroundcheck.com, where you will see the kind of thing I mean.

For the right person, it is not difficult and quick to do. And for that right person, there will be plenty more work available since we have a number of other projects larger than this.

I have a series of 27-50 html/css websites I wish to alter by taking <body> … </body> of the existing index.html page, and simply dropping it into the new standard index.html wrapper page. Think of it as a kind of page extension.

In other words, the new standardized wrapper page should contain the <head> … </head> with all the content-type, title, keywords, css link meta data, favicon loader etc, so that <body> … </body> of existing pages can simply be cut and pasted into the new wrapper page, resulting in a new index.html for each site in the new format.

I have attached 2 .PNGs of a wrapper layout we have done but would be interested in having guidance from someone with more experience than me in this kind of thing.
