Signup / Message System For A Mmorpg Game

September 12th, 2011 Comments off

We are currently in the process of creating a new online game dedicated to the world of professional wrestling and are looking for a coder or development team to get things started. Ultimately this project will be the first step in the process to develop the game and hopefully find the team that will take our ideas, thoughts, notes and flowcharts to completion.

This initial project will include programming and delivery of;
- Signup page, including an email verification of the account.
- Initiation of the user’s character based on a series of wrestler types.
- Once account is verified, an additional email (stored on server as a text) file is to be delivered as an introduction.
- A login system that records a user’s IP address to verify duplicate accounts.
- An HTML messaging system that will allow users to interact with each other.
- Messaging system will also be used to deliver reports as well as admin messages.
- Admin panel where user information can be accessed including ability to edit.

A document with additional details is available via the attached PDF file.

Programming should be in PHP/MySQL unless an alternate scripting language is proposed. This will need to be bare bones and no design elements will need to be completed. Once the entire game is closer to completion, we will have the design implemented.

Payment will be made via escrow. Please PMB details including quote, time to completion, and samples of your previous work.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Fix Magento 1.5 Vat Calculation : Missing 1 Cent

July 13th, 2011 Comments off

Hello,

I need a fix to vat calculation on magento 1.5.1.

VAT is 19.6

16.68 (product price without VAT)
+ 6.20 (shipping without VAT)
+ 4,48 (VAT calculated by magento)
——————-
= 27.36

It sould be

19,95 (Product price including VAT)
+ 7,42 (shipping including VAT)
————
= 27,37 (Price including VAT)

There a problem on shipping VAT calculation. Without shipping VAT is OK.

Thanks for proposal.

Programming Project 1308176367

June 15th, 2011 Comments off

We require a CV parser that will extract:
name, address, telephone number, email address, country
career history – including separate xml records for each company, job title, date range of job, job title and description.
qualifications – including separate xml records for each institution, date range, qualification
skills

I would expect an authenticated REST interface (written in php) that we can send CVs to. I would suggest you find a lot of different CV formats from the internet and make sure the parser can handle them. It will need to parse any format of CV sent to it so it requires a lot of intelligent pattern matching.

It needs to be able to parse the CV into HR xml format.

The parser also needs to be able to parse different languages, including:
dutch
chinese
hindi
japanese
german
spanish
french
russian
Brazillilan Portuguese
Malay Indonesian
Arabic
Bengali

It should be written using either PHP or c/c++

Note, I do not believe this is a simple project. Please only provide a quote if you believe you can really do this.

Market/web Research 2

February 12th, 2010 Comments off

Need someone to do market/web reaseach for a given topic about users in/relevant to india and come up with a spreadsheet with the following columns – product/service name, who will pay for it, realistic price per unit they would be willing to pay, unit of sale (per month, per item etc), approx profit margin per unit. Some of the info can be obtained by your own thinking (and the prices may be just your own judgement) while some can be obtained by looking at what other companies in these fields are already offering. A systematic way to do this would be to think first of all the user groups/segments that may be interested or related to each of the topics and then figure out what services/products they would need. There are no restrictions what so ever as to whether the products/services are physical or digital, their feasibility etc.

Initially posting 3 separate projects (“internet”, “home – including but not limited to real-estate” and “automobiles”), each awarded to different party as a test. Future projects will be allocated to the best of them.

Here you are bidding for market research on “home – including but not limited to real-estate” – specifically for the potential users in india or users outside india who may be interested in the “home – including but not limited to real-estate services/products in india”. Please see separate projects for the other two topics.

Social Microblog Site

August 18th, 2009 Comments off

We are looking for a highly experienced coder to complete the following project.

We need the site to be a hybrid, similar but different to certain aspects of micro blogging, journal sharing, shout outs, news, forum, writing and community type sites.

Description:

We want someone who can build us a php script with full mysql database with its own installer for use with the installation process and we want it based on similar features that Twitter, Facebook, LiveJournal and Digg type sites offer.

The similarities/differences and/or additions and needs of our site are as follows:

1 – We want a clean and simple tabbed type interface that is easy for users to navigate.

2 – When users click on the log-in tab we want it to go to a nice secure static log-in page with an optional check mark box to allow users to stay signed in permanently if they so desire.

3 – We also want the ability for a log-out function to show up after a successful log-in.

4 – We want the site to be clean and secure.

5 – We want our users to be able to make short 200 character limited type posts with a simple small basic text editor like the one implemented on “Twitter” but also have the ability to post longer entries in separate sections at around 2000 characters for an online
diary and 5000 characters for a writers section.

6 – We need within the header, links to ABOUT US, FAQ, News, LOG-IN, and FORUMS all with their own static pages.

7 – We need the footer to include “copyright, terms and conditions, privacy policy and contact us” all which need to have links to their own nicely designed static pages.

8 – We want google translations integrated on the main page using a drop down type menu.

9 – We want a different section for writers to post their articles and short stories.

10 – On the main page the tabs should be from left to right as follows Recent, Popular, Life Log, Writers, and Corporate.

11 – We need the main site to have a small sidebar that includes the current time and date, a navigation button to the members area and a custom box for sponsors that can be turned on or off within the admin panel.

12 – Every section should have 15 entries per page listed.

13 – All posts should allow hyperlinks.

14 – We need an option in the members/profile area to allow the user to print out their diary entries or entries from the writing section, the printing should be allowed for individual posts as well as allowing them to print all their entries.

15 – Every entry that ever occurs should be cached so that people can search all public entries ever made in any section.

16 – We need the text editor for the articles, diary and short 200 character post sections to be simple similar to what Twitter uses.

17 – A person should be able to click on the users avatars that is listed beside the posts which will take them to that particular users profile page, if that particular user has made his/her profile private then it needs to go to a nicely designed static page stating that this user has made his or her profile private and that you may contact this user by private message with the appropriate link listed to send the message.

18 – Each users profile page should include the following editable areas: avatar, hobbies, aim, yahoo, msn and icq messenger names, password, about me and public or private option sections.

19 – All entries made on the site needs to have a publicly visible time/date stamp.

20 – Areas of the members/profile page that cannot be modified is to be real name, username, location, email and birth date.

21 – All users posts should include their avatar/picture on the left side and underneath the avatar needs to be how many followers are currently subscribed to their posts.

22 – We want the writers and corporate sections to have a text editor that has all the functionality of the one used at livejournal.com.

23 – We want a section for corporate profiles.

24 – We want a small pm button to show up beside the posts so people reading these posts can private message the poster.

25 – All of users content, location and profiles need to have the ability to be made private by them in the members section.

26 – All corporate submissions should not automatically show up they must be verified in the admin panel after they are verified as a legitimate company.

27 – In the corporate section the company’s need to have the ability to upload a logo and to give a short description of their company, so when the people go to the corporate tab on the front page an alphabetical list of the corporations will be listed and then they can click on the logo of their choice to see that particular company’s static profile page.

28 – We want our users to be able to submit their entries to all the popular social sites using a simple tick and submit process.

29 – We want every entry in the diary and writers section to have the option to make it public or private.

30 – We want a rating system for users that will allow them to rate the posts in the writers section.

31 – Users will need the ability to subscribe to other users posts similar to the way it is done on “Twitter”

32 – When someone posts an entry in the main short post section it automatically gets submitted and those particular entries cannot be removed or edited after submitting them, unless done by the admin.

33 – We want the writers and corporate posts to be able to be edited even after it is posted.

40 – We want our users to have the ability to get e-mail verified by using a button in their members profile area that says verify your email now, which will give them the opportunity to participate in all contests and giveaways as well as other promotions and will show that they are email verified when other users view peoples profiles.

41 – We want our users to have the ability to invite others to join by manually typing the ones they want to invite, but also the ability to auto invite their friend lists from MSN, YAHOO, GOOGLE and AOL.

42 – We want our users to have the ability to receive emails notifying them that they have new followers.

43 – We want to have an internal messaging system that would allow each user to send other users private messages as well as the admin being able to private nmessage any user.

44 – We want online/offline indicators to show in all public posts that gives the online status of the user that has posted.

45 – We want users to be able to pick from a list of avatars provided by us, but also be able to upload their own picture if they choose.

47 – We want the site to have at least 3 different skins for the main page only, the rest of the site such as the different posting sections and the members profile sections can stay with the same continuous static look, the main skin should be designed in a bold but soft blue and green color scheme.

49 – We need the admin section to include a individual and mass email system.

50 – We will need a down for maintenance option in the admin panel and a nice static maintenance page that will show up after activated.

51 – We also want a way to make a small splash section appear in the top area of the main page such as the one used on ebidnow.info so that we can make announcements about occasional contests and promotions, and this needs to be fully controllable from the admin/back end.

52 – We need a section in the admin for site statistics so that we can track the popularity traffic and back links to our site.

53 – We need our users to have the ability to search within their own post history in their members section and also have the ability to cancel their account by sending a request for cancellation to the admin.

54 – We will need a set of default system emails for such things as welcome, verification, you have followers, contests etc…

Feel free to be creative! but all additions to the script will of course be subject to our approval.

We will need the Final script to be installed on our server, and during the development process by the coder we will need access to see the developing progress on a weekly basis in some form or another.

We will need a hard copy of the full script after installation to the server with detailed installation instructions for future use and backup purposes.

We will have final say on all revisions to the script.

We will provide the logo and tag lines for integration into the skins.

We will need you to provide support in the standard form of revisions until the beta test period is over and all subsequent bugs are fixed.

MAXIMUM TIME FRAME: The entire site, including the admin section will need to be fully operational within but not exceeding 120 Days.

We will need at least a basic production schedule provided to us with general deliverable time lines.

We will always retain the first right of refusal and will have the final decision on all revisions.

If the script is created with ioncube or zend coding for security purposes we will need copies of the final coded and uncoded files.

We also want the script constructed to where we can add different features in the future including a desktop application that will connect to the site and give the users the ability to read and post without actually entering the site, and also an embeddable widget that can be placed on blogs or websites that will allow their posts to be visible to their visitors as well as allowing them to join and follow posters. and possibly an iphone app in the future.

We will own the entire script, original design, all programming source codes, the copyrights and trademarks of the site. Your work will be considered as work for hire with non-disclosure clauses in affect, and should be set up with escrow.

Feel free to contact us for more information, communication is very important on this project.

Server Hosting Environment: What is your server hosting environment?
I have a server at a 3rd party hosting company.
The name of the hosting company is: Voxel.net
The server’s shared/dedicated status is: Dedicated just to me.

Component Compatibility Protection:
Sometimes a programmer may create features on the website that rely on componentswhich work fine on their own server, but won’t work with your 3rd party hosting company’s server. There are many reasons for this including version incompatibility, restricted permissions, etc… Rent A Coder normally requires that the programmer verify in advance that your 3rd party hosting provider will support the components. If they do not, then they are responsible for any incompatibilities, rather than you. Do you want this protection on your project?
No, I will be responsible for any components of the final solution that do not work with my hosting company.
Server Hosting Environment: Will the coder develop “live” on your server?
No. The programmer is responsible for creating their own development and/or qc environment.
Physical installation: Who will perform the physical installation?
The programmer will perform the physical installation, and will be given all necessary permissions to do so.
Desktop / server program info
Size of application: How many screens/forms need to be created/edited in this application?
Approximately 3-5.
Programming Language: What programming language(s) do you want your application written in?
I do know the language(s).
Languages(s):

* Java

Misc. details: Would like Mac and PC versions of upload app, that’s why I have chosen Java for cross-compatibility (clone of)
http://www.4shared.com/uploader/

Operating system(s) What operating systems(s) do you want your application to work on?
I do know the operating system(s):
# Microsoft Windows — version(s): XP, Vista, 7
# Macintosh — version(s): 9, OS X
Database: Will this project include a database?
No, it does not include a database.
Installation Program: Does the programmer need to create an installation program?
Yes AND the program will be installed on only a single computer.
Legal: 1) I require complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done (so that I may modify it in the future).
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
2a) Any website server-side deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer’s environment.
2b) If there are any server-side deliverables (intended to only exist in one place in the Buyer’s environment) then they must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition (unless specified elsewhere by the Buyer).
2c) All other software (including but not limited to any desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute) must include a software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request (unless specified elsewhere by the Buyer).
3) All deliverables will be considered “work made for hire” under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
3b) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the seller’s Seller Legal Agreement.
Other Requirements:
File Hosting script that allows users to have virtual folders which mimic the windows operating system (i.e.: http://www.4shared.com/dir/1567809/8fff9481/clone.html). Must support username/password authentication features, and other permissions should be able to be set by users.

*virus scanning feature*
integration of http://www.kaspersky.com/anti-virus_linux_file_server – automated for all premium paid users – free users have “insecure” virtual drives

–Ability to upload files from desktop computer, remote url, or torrent.
*1 file or multiple file upload options
-Javascript & AJAX based uploader and file manager
*ability to tag uploads with relevant keywords
*Virtual Drive Privacy*
User will have the ability to toggle entire folders and individual files are private or publicly viewable
i.e.: ourdomainname.com/username and username.ourdomainname.com will display the user’s publicly viewable files.
*Photo album folders*
–users will be able to assign passwords to directories and files
Ability for users to upload photos and create photo albums

*in frame playback*
music files should play in browser
movie files should play in browser
flash files should play in browser

*search feature*
ability to have homepage search box that will search uploaded files which are toggled for public viewing by users and show results based on file name and tag matches
-ability to do advanced search and select/filter different file types to give results for
-thumbnails for image results, zip folder icon for .zip matches, file icon for .exe matches, etc.

Different classes of users – free vs. paid and bandwidth throttling depending on class of user.
–Need the ability to track user’s bandwidth usage and limit resources (maximum file storage space, etc.)
–PayPal integration for automatic account creation and resource allocation

* Torrent proxy feature* (similar to www.furk.net)- allow users to submit .torrent urls or upload a .torrent file from their desktop from all major trackers (i.e.: http://isohunt.com/download/105241149/debian.torrent) at which point, OUR server will act as a torrent client, and download the torrented file that the user requests, and once it is finished, place it in their virtual drive for http download. The user will also be shown the status of the download with an avg k/s meter and a completion meter.

*File caching*
torrent downloads will be cached with an expiry of a definable number of days (i.e.: 30 days) – when a user downloads a torrented file to OUR servers it will be deleted in 30 days, unless another user requests the exact same .torrent download (MD5 checksum, maybe?), then the 30 day expiration starts over.

If the torrent has already been downloaded by another user, and the files are still active in our cache of recently downloaded files, then the user should be able to directly download the files without waiting. If the files are not currently available, the .torrent is moved into a queue of torrents to be downloaded by our torrenting cluster (if the same .torrent is not already in the queue from another user). Our torrenting cluster will then download the files, and upon completion, will import them into our mogilefs file system, while also updating the database accordingly so that it knows what files are associated with the downloaded torrent, and so it knows where to get those files and that they are available.

MogileFS functions best with chunks of data under 64GB, so we must segment files for scalability.

*1 IP download links*
Torrented files will be in a special folder in the user’s virtual drive which can only be viewed by the user when logged in. i.e.: to prevent users from sharing links to files in the torrent directory, they must be logged in to get the download links – and to prevent users from sharing download links – only the IP address of the logged in user that generates a link in THAT specific instance will be able to download from that link using their web browser or download manager.

*Virtual Drive Privacy*
User will have the ability to toggle entire folders and individual files are private or publicly viewable

i.e.: ourdomainname.com/username and username.ourdomainname.com will display the user’s publicly viewable files.

*download multiple files as 1 zip file*
We want users to be able to download multiple files as one .zip file. We have a module for nginx programmed for us that can do this. Upon being supplied a list of files, their crc32′s, and other relevant information that we already have available, this module will create a zip file on the fly to stream to the end user, while also supporting resuming.

In order to finish this functionality, our script needs to let the user decide which files they want to include in their .zip archive they are downloading, and then pass the list of files off to the nginx zip manager when the user tries to download the .zip archive.

The user should be able to select which files to zip from their virtual drive interface.

*DMCA banning feature*
We will need to be able to ban individual .torrents, or individual actual files, in order to respond to DMCA complaints.

*scalability*
As we plan to be able to quickly support many servers, thousands of users, and many terabytes of files in a system that may or may not properly handle this, load testing and scaling testing will be needed before launch to identify our initial bottlenecks so that we can address them.

Create Html Page For A Website

August 3rd, 2009 Comments off

This coursework is to be completed individually.

THE PROBLEM SCENARIO

UKTech University is a private university that teaches only computing, IT and related subjects. It is owned by a telecommunications company and was formerly a technical college mainly used for training company employees.

The university has aspirations to becoming a prestigious seat of learning. The parent company is wealthy and so it can afford to invest in state-of-the art ebusiness computing, telecommunications, teaching facilities and ecommerce website. The fees the university charges are higher than other universities. Its entrance requirements are also higher. Nevertheless, it is oversubscribed.

Currently the network manager is studying for a PhD but the research topic is in an area of computing unrelated to networking. The computing and networking staff tend to purchase off-the-shelf products. This means that the relevant university staff has limited in-depth knowledge and often resort to contacting their suppliers when a problem arises.

Geography

UKTech University is an educational establishment housed on a single campus in the UK. The university wishes to open a second campus situated 80km away on the site of a large new complex housing several office blocks. These will house many leading computer and IT companies. The site and the proposed new campus have the support of high-level politicians. In no small part is this due to the university’s chancellor being the wife of a cabinet minister.

Some issues

Some of the proposals being considered are as follows:

Woot Tracker Website

July 24th, 2009 Comments off

Please don’t bid or contact us to let us know how great your company is and how you could do so much of a better job for more money.

The objective of this project is to rebuild and redesign Wootpro.com which is a Woot Tracking Website.

There is existing code for the site however we wish for it to be used only as reference and prefer a complete recode of the site.
The site needs to be coded in ASP and capable of running on a Windows 2003/IIS server with the utilization on a MySQL backend if needed and utilizing CSS.
The code needs to be clean and optimized to minimize server and bandwidth utilization.
The site also needs to be cross browser compatible, and search engine optimized as best as possible (We realize this is not an SEO project).

Feature requirements for the site:

- The site is primarily advertising and donation supported.
Each page/section needs to be able to display up-to 8 different ads including Google ads optimized to show ads relevant to the current product on Woot.com.
Each ad zone needs to be configurable within an admin panel to refresh as different intervals, track displays, track clicks and add/remove/enable/disable ads.
Contextual & Inline ads need to be able to display for all text located on the site including item description.

- The information displayed on the site needs to be refreshed within a certain time variable configured in an admin panel.
The page should not need to reload to refresh the information, but only sections whose information has changed should refresh (possible Ajax)

- The site needs to be able to detect a woot off and change settings dynamically in this situation.
The refresh rate of the above sections need to go into Wootoff mode and based on settings in admin panel.

- The site needs to play an audio file for 4 scenarios, each with its own audio:
New woot item.
Woot item at or below 2%.
Woot item sold out.
Bag of crap woot item (in the instance, it will also need to open a new page with the order page for item being sold on woot.com) for paying members.
Audio files should only play once for each instance except for paying members who should be able to configure when the files play, and how often.
The page should also be able to grab focus of the screen, a feature which can be enabled by paying members.

- The site will need to have multiple pages contained in navigation tabs including:
+ Main page containing:
Woot off indicator.
Current woot item.
Price of item.
Shipping for item.
Condition of item.
Picture of item (clickable to enlarge without leaving site/page).
Availability of item (100%….to sold out) or none listed if no woot off.
Description of item formatted as it is on Woot.com.
Link to discuss item on woot.com
Sale stats snapshot as shown on woot.com with ability to click and expand without leaving site/page.
Button to order item linking to order url.
Estimated sellout time (needs to be accurate).
Statistics of current item being sold during previous sales.
+ Mini tracker page containing:
Woot off indicator.
Current woot item.

Give users the ability to signup using PayPal via either monthly or annual membership to be determined later via admin panel.
Once signed up, they will need to have a user panel where they can update their information, opt out of mailings, and customize sections of site as described within project.
+ Existing members page as described above.
*all pages will need to meet the advertising scheme described above.
*all pages need to contain a title showing the % left of current item and its name, visible to search engines.
-Each page needs to have a dynamic link to Digg optimized for current item.
-Site needs to have a common footer display load times, information, copyright and number of active users, number of members on site.

Custom Php/ Mysql Script

July 12th, 2009 Comments off

OK, here goes. I need a custom PHP/ MySQL “work order” script.
I’m swamped with work, and I need this done ASAP, preferably by Wednesday, at the latest.
You will receive full CPanel access to an empty site on my server to complete the project.
Work and testing MUST be done on my server – no exceptions.
Low bids with verifiable experience will be given preference.
By bidding, you agree that I own all rights to the script, and may use, modify, or sell it,
as I see fit.
I will pay immediately via PayPal upon acceptance of the script,
after testing as admin, agent, and user. No deposits, no escrow, no exceptions.
I will give a feedback rating of 10, if this is done to specifications and on time.

The MySQL database will have 4 tables and about 50 fields, total.
You will have full CPanel access, including Legacy File Manager and phpMyAdmin.
The tables are only suggestions – if you can use fewer tables, that’s fine.
Details:

Table 1:
users

Fields:
username
password
(note: users may only view their submitted work orders, updates, images, and docs)

Table 2:
admins

Fields:
username
password
priveleges
(note: admin has full access; agents may view work orders, add updates, images, and docs, but may not delete data)

Table 3:
uploads – admin and agents may upload photos of the work performed for users, as well as other documents. These documents will be written to an images folder and a docs folder. Users may upload images or docs with signup form

Table 4:
user_data – 27 unique fields, including the id field, which will be auto-incremented. actual fields will be provided to the winning bidder – several are date fields

The PHP files:
login.php – login for admins, agents, and users –
when a user logs in, user will be directed to index.php
when an admin or agent logs in, he will be redirected to admin/index.php

signup.php – signup form for users – I will provide a mostly-completed form. You will add uploads and change form as needed.
This form will write the 27 fields of user data, including the username and password, plus any uploads to the database and the appropriate folder.

index.php – when logged in, a user will be able to see his work order, updates, and images (with captions) that pertain to his work order.
user will be able to download docs that are attached to the work order
user will never be able to see other users’ work orders or information.
If user has multiple work orders, user will be able to select one from the group, via dropdown menu.

admin folder – accessed only by admin and agents.
index.php – admin/ agent will be able to view id number, completion status, username, and address for all work orders. admin/ agent can select a property to update and is taken to update.php

update.php – admin/ agent can view work order, write a text description of work done and upload unlimited “before” and “after” photos with captions, and documents with captions.
Information will be dated with date and time values.
admin/ agent can add more data to the update by accessing this page again -
old data is retained and not overwritten

delete.php – only admin can access – use javascript alert to confirm before deleting work order

admin.php – only admin can access – may create new agents or delete agents

Important: All files MUST have include statements for header.php and footer.php.
I will place a generic header and footer on the server in the public_html directory.
That’s it. Not too hard if you’re well-versed in PHP/ MySQL.
I hope to choose a winner this later evening, so bid soon.
P.S. I’m a provider on SL, with excellent feedback. Nothing recent, though, as I’ve been too busy.
Please only bid if you agree to the terms as stated and can complete this within 3 days.
I’m not interested in an open-source or pre-made script. This must be custom.
If you have any questions, please ask.

Addition To My Website

June 5th, 2009 Comments off

I have a web based game and need the following addition made to my website:

At the moment the game saves the number of visitors to a home game in the database. But this is only for the last game. So every time a team has another home game, the previous info gets overwritten.

1. I need an addition to the backend where the number of visitors is calculated to add this number in a seperate table of the MySQL database for each game!

2. I need a php page for the frontend, that gets all this info out of the database.

3. I need a tpl page that displays this info from highest average visitors to lowest for each league.

4. The tpl page should also show the following.
a) The game with the highest number of visitors (including home and away team, date, league and season)
b) The game with the lowest number of visitors (including home and away team, date, league and season)
c) The team with the highest average per season (including their logo)

5. The number of visitors is calculated from five different numbers which also should be displayed individually in point 3 and 4 if selected!

I can provide the code for the original but your programming can only include the basics of this code. You can not just copy the code and create something. It needs to be original!!!

The game is in german but I have no problem translating. I need this done right, so time is not an issue!

Ask me if you have questions befor bidding.

DO NOT send any references until I ask or you bid will be deleted!

June 5th, 2009 Comments off

Condition of item.
Picture of item (clickable to enlarge without leaving site/page).

WordPress Mu Blog Duplication

June 2nd, 2009 Comments off

Our team has developed a service where we’ve created a templated wordpress website which is hosted on WordPress MU.

What We Need:

We need a WordPress MU plugin created that will systematize the process of duplicating our “parent” blog (including the look/feel, content, plugins, and all settings). Basically, we have a “parent” blog theme and we want to automate the process as much as possible on replicating that exact same website and website functions.

Currently we have a 14 step process that our web person has to go through to set up each individual website account, customize the plugins, customize the settings, etc. to match the “parent” blog.

Project:

Create a wordpress MU plugin which will automate or semi-automate the process of setting up these new websites to replicate our “parent” site.

Our parent site has a lot of customizations to it that will need to be on the new site accounts as well including:

– All plugins need to be replicated including the settings on the plugins. Plugins used include cforms, contact form, stray quotes, etc.

– Content/images/uploads need to be replicated and on the new site accounts.

Our Current Status:

Currently we are using the Plugin Commander for WP MU to manage our plugins as far as adding new plugins, upgrading, and activating/deactivating. So, that is taken care of. We need the new plugin to be able to automatically (or semi-automatically) replicate the plugin settings.

We are using a WordPress MU template plugin that right now automatically replicates a few of the settings on the site set ups like permalink structure, email settings, etc.

If we can automate the plugin configurations, content/images/uploads replication, overall blog settings configurations, blog navigation structure, etc. (basically set up 100% replicas of the “parent site” automatically or semi-automatically) that’s what we’re looking for.

Please provide samples of projects you’ve done w/ wordpress MU and samples of any wordpress MU plugins you’ve done.

Thanks!

– Trevor

Debt Collection Manager App

May 22nd, 2009 Comments off

PROJECT GOAL
Produce a Windows (desktop) application to be used in managing debt collection activities.

REQUIRED DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM & COMPONENTS
VB.NET (2008 preferred) for development; grid component (Spread for Windows Forms, fpoint.com; Xceed Grid for .NET, xceed.com; or XtraGrid Suite, devexpress.com) or other approved component.

OVERVIEW
The application will permit for entry and maintenance of all pertinent data necessary for collection of debts. Such data shall include, but is not limited to, creditor name/address, debtor name/address/assets/employer/etc, debt details including date/amount/interest rate/etc, ledger entries including payments and other transactions. The application shall include capability for searching and reporting.

CODER TASKS
Please note that I am an accomplished software developer. My primary reason for outsourcing this project is that I am not entirely familiar with Visual Studio .NET programming. Your first focus will be on GUI design, including proper (aesthetically pleasing) display of appropriate data and correct event handling (ie: click on grid, etc).

Detailed functions (ie: algorithms not directly affecting or affected by GUI) will be handled by me. For example, you will not be responsible for coding Interest Amount calculations. Those calculations are based on many variables, and I have already coded those. You will simply coordinate with me to name the function appropriately and pass to the function the correct parameters and/or arguments. I will code the function.
Reporting functions shall also be coded primarily by me.

DATABASE
The database currently selected is Firebird. The database schema already exists. An initial database has already been constructed and three (3) primary tables have been populated with test data. You will not be required to perform any developmental database design or maintenance.

Diagrams, database schema, and other additional information is available online at:
