The info posted here is only and a brief idea of what i want the person i choose will get the full spec of the project.
The website will let people join/signup and place bids on items my system will generate a user and they will win the prize.
The idea is allot more complex than this and i have now had official approval of a big UK company to have them placed on my website.
The site is in a way similar to the penny auction websites you see everywhere but with the most unique twist and ensures people that they are not being scammed.
The website should be very professional and unique not some rubbish template modified. The website should have a good admin area which easily allows me to monitor and upload new items to the site. It would also be a benefit if the winner has experience with payment processing and could recommend the best and embed it to the site. I would like the site to run smooth and very attractive and bright. I would also prefer if the winner could create a flash graphical video for the main page demonstrating how the site works, although this is not priority.
There is so much more i want to put as it is more complex than this but an experience designer/programmer should be OK with this.
i would like this site to also be social site friendly and can hire someone else to make a FB page e.t.c
The website does not need to be done instantly and i am willing to let this take along as it takes to get it right. I would like the winner to have patience and speak good English. We are in need of a fresh new logo for a hair salon. The name of the company is Bella Artisans LLC, and the name of the salon is Bella Hair Designs. The logo will need to be artistic since it will be used for the salon and eventually for a unique product line. It will need to be a black and white logo.
Designers that create a mock logo or idea with a watermark will be considered above those that just give a portfolio.
Attached are some ideas that we have. First is a color image of a woman “Amazing Woman Short Blonde Haircuts”. This image is what we would like to use as a template for our logo.
The second image is an idea for the simplicity behind our ideas for a logo. It is a pic of a line painting titled “photo”.
Finally is a logo (titled “image no text”) for another salon that is along the same general idea of what we are looking for. This logo is used both for the salon and the company’s product line. We obviously want something different but along the same look and feel as this third file.
Finally the logo will need to be submitted in different formats i.e. PDF, JPG, etc., including a vectorized format for any large signs that may need to be created.

Trying to create a content management system that will use lots of ideas from majors sites such as, Facebook(credit ,tokens, points purchase in apps and the way content is displayed), Amazon(Sales System), Yellowpages/Craigslist/Kijiji(Search System and Classified Area), Youtube(video idea), lavalife(credits idea again), and exchange3d (Idea for giving clients the right to sell there product(s)).
This is a vast description that is why I am looking for a programmer that is will to work part time on the project and owe part of the rights when finished.
However, here are things that will be required for the job.
I would like it all CSS tagged, as for the design and layout you can do that.
but it need not be a fancy concept as the graphics will be edited at a later time.
So simple is good.

I need a WordPress/CSS/Domain expert to sort out some issues i have with a new site we’ve put together.

First issue is that the menu does not behave as it should, when you hover over menu items the menu appears then disappears – i think it is a CSS issue or a clash with a style sheet from another plugin but i’ve no idea how to fix it and don’t have the time to go through the plugins to find the clash. Try it out on the link above and you’ll see what i mean.
Second issue is that custom fields no longer save – again i think this must be a clash with a plugin but i’ve no idea which one or why it is happening.
Third issue is with domains – i have two domain names that i want to use with the site but i’ve no idea how to configure them for use with the site. I believe I need to configure the DNS entry to make this work but again i’ve no idea how to fix this so you’ll need to be competent in doing that too.
Fourth issue, the site has been setup using MediaTemple temporary domain service. When you access the links they reference the temporary domain service so all these links will need to be updated
I absolutely cannot afford to lose any information on this site through a crash or so please be sure that you know what you are doing or can do a backup before you bid!
I’ll pay a bonus if you can complete the work quickly and I’m happy!
This has got to be a quick and easy job for someone so please make the bids reflect that, only sensible bids.

My customer is putting together a new website concept/idea. The website will allow businesses to set up an account and post data on the website. There would be about ten different fields to input data in each record, and people would have to be able to search the entire database using at least five of the different fields. The only people who could search the website would be people who pay for the information, not necessarily the people who post it, although there would be some overlap. They would be allowed to search a certain number of times for one fee, and then would pay for each search after that. The cost per search would go down at certain search levels. Most of the subscribers would be businesses.
I will only give more information in private to those that ask for it.
We do have a budget in mind but to avoid ridiculous bids I’m not going to make it public.
Only bid if you have a good feedback history doing similar jobs and can prove it. Showing non related projects will take you nowhere, I do check and read what programmers post. If I see something that doesn’t make sense your bid will be ignored and deleted.
Ask questions, I like to be asked questions specially in these kind of projects, I want to see if you know what you are bidding for and know what you are doing.
