You cannot redirect a index file to the root without causing an infinite loop, as it is the index file that the server delivers on it’s repeated request.

I recently migrated my Joomla site to WordPress. In Google many URLs from Joomla site already get listed and from where we get most of our traffic.

I need someone to help me 301 redirecting my old Joomla URLs to new WordPress URLs for SEO. Joomla’s Article URLs consist of article ID in it. I am looking for a expert who is experienced writing .htaccess rules and some other way to achieve the same results.

I use PHP, MYSQL.

I’m trying to redirect all files with name1_name2-filename-filename in them to name1-name2-filename-filename.

(Note the original file names are not real file names. They’re in place of redirect script.)

Configure DNS on host so when user types their own domain in web browser, they see a subdomain on my server. Subdomain is set as a wildcard in DNS already, and routes to a php script which captures the subdomain name, and looks up the matching content from a mysql database.

Note: We have already tried:

Host is Hostgator. Their tech guys have spent 2 weeks trying to get the DNS to resolve the wildcard subdomain, and could not do it.

My menu of these urls is currently formatted like this with my old style urls as an example:

Hello, I’ve a forum using vBulletin and vBSEO, We run our site using the webserver NGINX (Have that in mind since all redirects are different than apache with it’s .htaccess.

What I want to do, is deactivate vBSEO once and for all, for doing that without losing all the Google links, I need to redirect the old vBSEO urls to vbulletin regular ones. I’m not sure how to do it.

The same as above without the www should redirect to www. As example:
http://example.org/{var1}/{value1}/ -> http://www.example.org/index.php?{var1}={value2}

Only one parameter should be treated as value
http://www.example.org/{value1} -> http://www.example.org/index.php?fixed={value1}

And if you have some other tipps what could be included here I am open for your suggestions. I think this should be no big deal for an expert. But I’m just desperate about it.

I have a joomla website :it had just been developed and I had all of it working as I wanted it. I then had a last few little tinkerings and hey presto – I’ve got the white blank screen when you select any option from the main screen. Previously there were a few articles on display or a few sections blog style from the menu selection.

The last few tinkerings that I remember were to do with:
1) the htaccess file. I put in some code that meant that the menu bar held the website name even though all of the screen was infact in the joomla directory. I’ve since deleted the .htaccess file but still have the error.
2) I also noticed that the HOME on breadcrumbs was now wrong and put me back to the joomla directory which was invalid so I changed the breadcrumbs module
3) That didn’t work so I changed the config file -

Only after all these three did I notice the problem with the blank screen so can’t say what caused it – if any or a combination of these three actions.

This is something argent so please let me know the time.

I have a website with pages links in a menu, some of which require https and some which do not required https. Currently I have a htaccess file to make the whole site https. My menu has:

Page 1 (https)
Page 2 (http)
Page 3 (http)
Page 4 (https)
Page 5 (http)

A user can click from Page 1 to Page 3 or page 5 to Page 2, etc but I do not require https for all pages as clicking from Page 4 to Page 3 would make Page 3 open in https. I would like a solution (either htaccess or php) which allows the secure pages (as above) to be https and unsecure pages to be http whichever way the user clicks through from the menu.

The chosen programmer will work on their own server with generic pages as above to demonstrate the script and will deliver the final scripts. Please do not ask for passwords or log-in details.

Here is the problem:

1. This Malware is on our CLOUD SITES server so you
have NO root access and the log files are limited.

2. It apparently launches a php shell that then infects
all the htaccess of our approximately 100 domains. If you
fix the htaccess the injection regenerates.

3. We have about 10 blogs on there and originally it
was a timthumbs exploit.

4. I had a programmer spend time trying to fix it
but they couldn’t find the source or root of it and
didn’t know what to do since log files on a rackspace
cloud sites server are limited and you don’t have
root access.

5. The malware alters the htaccess to redirect to
russian sites.

6. I installed wp malware on all the blogs AND installed
bullet proof security plugin on SOME but this didn’t help.

7. You need to know both CLOUD SITES and WORDPRESS and
obviously WordPress exploits and Malware to solve this.
I had a good programmer on it. This is a pretty virulent
Malware hiding somewhere on a server with 100 domains.

8. You have access via FTP and the online control panel
and you have php myadmin access to the database on the
individual blogs.

9. The individual databases do NOT appear to be injected
according to the prior programmer.

being modified. But I just checked and it looks ok.

2. Remove the malware if it exists

3. Find the vulnerability being exploited if possible
and fix it or, at minimum, tell us what needs to be fixed.

I assume there are tracks in the log files.

4. I need you to get this done today 10/13 during the daytime
and communicate with me on skype if need be, although I’m not
a technical person so I don’t have a clue.
