I need research done on grants that are available to farmers in the United States. This information will be used in a guide that I am preparing for farmers.

Here is the information I need:

(1) General Information on U.S. Farmer Grants (no more than 1 page)

This will be the introduction to the guide, and will include brief information on:

(a) What types/categories of grants are available? (For example, are there grants for farmers to buy farm equipment? For farmers to take educational courses? For pest control? List all of the types of grant programs available, along with a brief description of each)

(b) What is the typical dollar amount of a government farmer grant? What is the range in dollar value (i.e. highest to lowest?)

(c) Who gives out the grants (i.e. what are the main U.S. government agencies that give out grants to farmers?)

(2) Details on Specific Farmer Grant Programs

I need you to do web searches to find all of the U.S. grant programs available for farmers.

For each grant program that you find, I would like the following information collected:

- Name of the grant program
- The state(s) that the grant is available in
- How much the grant is for (maximum $)
- A brief description of what the grant is for (one or two sentences)
- Who qualifies for this grant
- The steps involved in applying for the grant. (This should be a step-by-step description in plain English)
- The reporting requirements that a farmer must follow, once he/she has been given a grant.
- When the grant program ends (if at all)
- Contact details for more information (i.e. name of government agency, phone number, email address)
