Very Basic Website – Renovation Required

May 17th, 2011 Comments off

Hello,

I have a very basic website that I’m currently using for my home based pastry business (www.dimassipastry.com). I created the website with very little knowledge. I have the following goals for my site and may add them on as separate projects. I’m also looking to spend as little as possible here. Again, my requests are very basic.

Goal 1:
– The site needs to be “polished”. i.e. consistant experience in all browsers, including smart phones.
– Consistant, professional looking theme,
– Areas for newsletter / deals signup, feedback, deals,
– site needs to look very clean and uncluttered.

Goal 2:
A new / polished logo. I need a logo that I can use on the website, on stickers for the pastry boxes, letter head, business cards etc.

Goal 3:
I need to be able to easily modify some sections of the website when I’m adding new pastry, deals, messages, and testimonials.

Below are a few sites that I like:
http://www.templatemonster.com/swish-templates/11382.html
http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/10001.html
http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/9556.html
http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-templates/6266.html

Please send links to show previous related work and bid on all goals or each goal.

Programmer will be picked off examples they provide.

When bidding, please provide a breakdown of what your bid will exactly include, and an estimated timeframe for delivery.

Will need a fully-functional site, as well as the entire source code.

Also, please do not bid unless you can guarantee that that the work
will be considered “work made for hire” under the CA /U.S. Copyright laws. We are to receive exclusive copyright to all work. No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components (or similar).

Please give me a great price and better work and I will continue to use you going forward.

I Need A Website Script Made.

April 26th, 2011 Comments off

Hi,

What I need done is a website script with a good web 2 design that is made from scratch and that i will own full copyrights to.

I need a site that is in way similar to facebook with being able to make profiles with the feature to add and talk to friends and such

BUT i want it to be in a “Goal Setting” kind of way.

So for example: I sign up to the website and there would be the option to start making goals for myself, example: “I want to lose 5

Pounds in the next month.” So when i set up this goal it will show up on my profile page and my friends on the website will be able to

see it and cheer me on. So instead of having “Wall Posts” such as on facebook, i would have “Goal Posts” on my site.

Here are some of the options to be available when i am setting up a goal:

* Name of the goal.
* Goal categories, Example: Fitness, Work, School…
* Time limit for the goal to be achieved. So you can put in a date and there would be time count down kind of thing.

I would also like for the user to keep getting weekly reminders about his/her goal. Also i would like the user to be able to add

updates to his/her goals. Such as: if i make the following goal “I want to lose 5 Pounds in the next month.” i would be able to add a

followup to the goal after a week or so stating that i have lost 1 pound and i am 4 pounds closer to my goal for example.

Also i would have the option to edit my goals and add multiple goals at once.

I want to also have a user friendly Admin Panel so that i can have control over the site.

Please Note: I do not want some sort of a facebook clone script that is going to be modified or something. I want a brand new script

that is made from scratch. I do not even want the site to look anything like facebook, i want the site to be unique and not some copy

of another site.

I also want the the script to be 100% editable and the programmer selected to be able to edit it for me in the future, for extra money

of course :) !

For now that is all i can think of, but please be ready for a lot of revisions, as i might think of more things later on.

For more info, please PMB me,
Thanks Guys!!!

Email Service Architecture 2

March 7th, 2010 Comments off

I have a domain that is hosted with a registrar that does not allow easy alteration of MX records. I want to host the domain’s file system and email services on different servers. I am interested in how to best structure the MX records/nameservers so that I achieve this.

Your job is to explain to me in practical terms how I achieve my goal.

This includes:
a) A discussion of different options to achieve my goal.
b) Tell me in email the correct nameserver/MX records to achieve the goal.

The solution suggested much actually work.

Goal List Exercise

January 18th, 2010 Comments off

Attached is a goal list exercise that I would like to make into an online program. I welcome ideas on how to best do this, but for the sake of quoting I am looking for something that is very visual and interactive. Something probably written in Java (though I am not locked into Java) that takes the participant step-by-step through the exercise. The information gathered will need to be stored in a database for later access and graphically displayed on a website for each participant.

Seo And Internet Marketing

November 23rd, 2009 Comments off

Hi,

I have a Social Network Website almost ready for SEO, Social Bookmarking, Article Writing and whatever else is involved with this process. It has most of the features like facebook but targeted for golfers.

1. I need Internal SEO to choose the best and proper keywords to use according to my social network goals.

2. I need a professional who can target and attract a specific group of users.

3. Articles and submissions. All content created must be original. No plagiarism

Please provide a short term plan and a one year plan for this project. Suggestions are welcomed.

Main Goal #1 attract golf instructors, golf knowledgable people, people who love to blog about golf, people who love to answer questions about golf.

Main Goal #2 attract golfers who want to improve their game.

Without goal #1, goal #2 will be hard to attain.
Without goal #2, goal #1 will be hard to attain.

Thank you
Billy

Real & Target Traffic

November 11th, 2009 Comments off

We require a professional marketer to increase the site’s exposure and to provide advertising/promotion. I need someone that can provide target, relevant traffic which is real, unique and sustainable. Traffic must not be “Junk traffic” as this will be monitored by a 3rd party tracking system. No bots, no automated scripts, no incentive traffic, traffic exchanges or fake impressions and so on. Let me make it simple, traffic must be real. No Spam, illegal marketing will be tolerated.

Require traffic from: China, India (other countries in Asian continent),UK,Ireland.

We are open to suggestions however we want to see you bring traffic from popular social networks such as, Facebook, Linkedin, Xing, Orkut etc and link building from high quality websites as well.

PM with:
- Detailed marketing strategies on how you will be marketing and bringing traffic to the site.
- Indicate how much traffic you’re expecting within 30 days.
- I want to see a list of related work you’ve done, including links to verify listing.

I can not stress this enough:

- Guaranteed legitimate live person visiting traffic and is not generated by any type of pop up method.

- No incentive traffic is allowed. That means people cannot be paid to simply stop at our website for a few seconds and then move on.

Payment:
50% in escrow at start of project & will release after achieving 50% of target goal.
Rest of 50% will add to escrow at halfway point of target goal and will release after completing 100% of target goal.

Bulk Install Cms On 100+ Names

November 4th, 2009 Comments off

Somebody reading this knows what I’m talking about and already has a ready-to-use solution.

I have 100 domains that are parked at the registrar, doing nothing. I’m searching for the fastest, easiest, least expensive way to install a search engine friendly CMS (WordPress, Joomla, whatever) across all of the domains, insert related keywords, logo (which we already have) and RSS feeds. The domains reside on the same server.

The main goal is to have sites with indexable content related to the keywords.

Second goal is to have the sites appear to be unique, valid, & useful to human editors.

Third goal is for the sites to seem to look legitimate to site visitors and to have a feedback form (with captcha) to facilitate communication.

System should be able to include unique contact information and template.

Most of the sites are not for e-commerce. Just blogs with RSS feeds.

Don’t bid if you are offering to build a system “from scratch”. Existing systems only. Use PMB or bid if you have such a system or know where to find one.

If no reasonable offers are made, project will be canceled. If you have a solution, let’s talk.

Google Analytics Data Extract

August 14th, 2009 Comments off

We are DirectWithHotels Ltd. We boost the performance of our clients’ website through our service for a performance-based fee.

We are tracking at least 800 hotel websites through Google Analytics. And every month, we manually log in and generate site performance reports.

Project:
Develop an application that extracts Google Analytics Data displays it and generates daily and monthly reports.

Objective:
To automate the process of reporting through data extraction functionality using Google Analytics’ Data Extraction API.

Data Feeds to be extracted from Google Analytics:
1)Visitors & Traffic Sources
# of Visitors
Visitor type (refers to unique and returning visitors)
Date of visit (follows YYYYMMDD format)
Day of visit
Region
Continent
City
Country
Direct Traffic

# of Exits
Time on page
Time on site

2)Content

Landing pages
Unique pageviews per page

3)Goals

The idea is to have a module in the application that logs into Google Analytics and allows us to extract data via XML or CSV to a database. And from the database, displays information in a viewer’s module. Displayed data can also be extracted into a spreadsheet (Excel).

The application must also include a drop-down selection of all accounts and websites per account, this will determine the data of which hotel website to display in the viewer’s module.

Requirements:
Must have experience with:
- PHP5 (we currently use the Zend Framework)
- MySQL
- XML and/or CSV
- Google Analytics API

Todo List / Goal Planner

June 28th, 2009 Comments off

I am developing a 2do list goal setting planner, with a graphic user interface (The Important Bit). I have created a very basic version of what I’m looking for in Microsoft Excel, but want it all put together as a web based application and/or a stand alone software program.

I have attached screen shots to show you what I’m looking for.

Here is how it should work.

There are 5 separate screens needed

Screen1
This is the main screen where tasks are input and delegated to the different 2do list screens, using the tick boxes.

Screen2
This is the list of tasks for the user to do “that day” and priorities are set.

Screen3
This is the list of tasks for the user to delegate to someone else to do.

Screen4
This is the screen for tasks to be put over to the next day

Screen5
Now this is the screen that will take the most work.
It is a “5 day intuitive planner”, allowing the user to place tasks by dragging and dropping coloured task boxes on to the planning grid.

Default task boxes are created for each task from the users 2Do list (screen2)and displayed at the top of the screen.

Selecting a task in the row of tasks allows the user to set Start time End time or Length of task, then user can allocate the day for the task to be done or just drag the task into the grid.

The ACTUAL TIME SLIDER allows the user to move the times the current task has taken due to interruptions etc, tasks planned after the current task are then pushed over to the finish time of the current task, tasks taken past the end of the working day are pushed to the next day. this carries through the rest of the week and tasks pushed over the end of the week are set to the next priority and sent back to screen1 to be planned again the following week.

The program needs to be flexible enabling the user to move tasks around surrounding tasks at will readjusting the planned weeks work.

The program will ALSO need an options menu to set task categories, working week and working hours etc

I have other ideas to develop this program in the future so being able to add other elements is vital.

I would like to work with someone who speaks very good English, and who I can speak to personally as this project will need explaining in detail both written and verbal.

I look forward to your bids

Kind Regards

Richard Thorne

Integrate Pay Gateway With Osc

June 2nd, 2009 Comments off

Simple goal:
Our Oscommerce shop is using a one page checkout (purchased) and we need to have ctopay gateway payment implemented.
The checkout module already has several payment gateways implemented so there are ideas and hints to be found in the already existing code which could be helpful.
I will also provide the ctopay oscommerce module as reference code if needed.
The customer will choose payment option and be redirected to the payment gateway and enter payment details. After completion will the order be recorded in our database and the customer sent to a success page.

The ultimate goal:
To have the customer enter ALL the information on our checkout page and NOT having him redirected to ctopay gateway.
The information will then be passed on to the ctopay payment gateway and processed there while the customer stays on our site waiting for accepted or declined message.
Only if accepted will the order be recorded in our database.

Please let me know which of these two goals you feel confident that you can achieve.

Daily contact via skype, msn or icq is a must as well as good english skills.

Project time: Maximum 3 days.

First time here so I am not sure on how to specify the budget. I feel that “Goal 1″ has a maximum price of $150 since that should be done quite easy by a good programmer.
“Goal 2″ though might take some more time and has a higher budget.

Google Analytics Goal Setting

May 19th, 2009 Comments off

Tracking the number of file downloads and number of page re-directs from certain pages to other pages on my website, as the total number of conversions.

I thought this was done properly, but after having downloaded many times a dummy file from my website, the total number of conversions still stays as 0, then I sense that this was not done correctly.

Maybe he also needs to refer to https://www.google.com/support/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?answer=55617&hl=en_US&utm_id=ad

Programmer should EITHER work with log me in, or see screenshots and guide me what to do in the Google Analytics control menus.

If you are experienced on this, then you can bid, otherwise please… please don’t use trial-and-error.

You may see screenshots appended.

Convert As3 Xml To Loadvars

April 8th, 2009 Comments off

Hi, I have the following Actionscript 3.0 that controls a Flash thermometer, using variables loaded from an XML file.

The project is straightforward: instead of loading the data through XML I want to load it through embedded Parameters in the Object/Embed code for the .swf file (example: http://www.permadi.com/tutorial/flashVars/indexAs3.html)

Here’s the Actionscript with the XML:

stop();

import caurina.transitions.Tweener;//import tween class
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;//define how stage scales
stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
//get all the vars from the xml file
var xmlString:URLRequest = new URLRequest(“/thermometer.xml”);
var xmlLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(xmlString);
xmlLoader.addEventListener(“complete”, init);
function init(event:Event):void {
var xDoc:XMLDocument = new XMLDocument();
xDoc.ignoreWhite = true;
var thermXML:XML = XML(xmlLoader.data);
xDoc.parseXML(thermXML.toXMLString());
//get vars
var goalTxt:String =
xDoc.firstChild.childNodes[0].firstChild.nodeValue;//goal text
populateGoal(goalTxt);//populate the goal text
var goalNum:Number =
xDoc.firstChild.childNodes[0].attributes.goalNum;//goal number
var currentNum:Number =
xDoc.firstChild.childNodes[1].attributes.currentNum;//current number
makeCurrent(goalNum, currentNum);
//marks
var marksArray:Array = new Array;
var marksLength:Number = xDoc.firstChild.childNodes[2].childNodes.length;
for(var i:Number = 0;i<marksLength;i++){
var markNum:Number =
xDoc.firstChild.childNodes[2].childNodes[i].attributes.markNum;
var markNumString:String = addCommas(markNum);
addMark(markNumString, markNum, goalNum, currentNum);
}
}

//populate goal text
function populateGoal(getGoalTxt:String):void {
goal_txt.htmlText = getGoalTxt;
}
//make progress bar
var goalHeight:Number = 170;
function makeCurrent(goalNum:Number, currentNum:Number) {
var percDone:Number = currentNum/goalNum;
var progressY:Number = goalHeight – (goalHeight*
percDone);//determine what y should be

Tweener.addTween(mask_mc, {y:progressY, time:3});//tween mask
}
//position during tween
function reportPosition(progressY:Number, goalNum:Number,
currentNum:Number):void {
var currentProgressY:Number = progress_mc.y;
var percentDone:Number = 1 – (currentProgressY/goalHeight);
var currentValue:Number = Math.floor(percentDone* goalNum);
if (currentValue > currentNum) {
currentValue = currentNum;//if the current value is more than what is should be…
}
progress_mc.progress_txt.htmlText = addCommas(currentValue);
}
//format number with commas
function addCommas(getDollarAmount:Number):String {
var amountArray:Array = String(getDollarAmount).split();//split the

var dollarArray:Array = new Array();
var startNum:Number;
var endNum:Number = amountArray[0].length;//length of the number
while (endNum > 0) {
startNum = Math.max(endNum – 3, 0);
dollarArray.unshift(amountArray[0].slice(startNum, endNum));
endNum = startNum;
}
amountArray[0] = dollarArray.join(“,”);//join all the nodes of the dollar array together
return (amountArray[0]);//return the number with the ,s
}
//add marks
function addMark(markString:String, markNum:Number, goalNum:Number,

Paypal Donation Mod For Phpbb3

April 5th, 2009 Comments off

The description pretty much sums what the project is:

Here are the details.

I would like a mod which will allow users to submit donations via a donations page.

This page will contain:

text – informing the donator what they are donating too.

Show a Goal Ammount

Show how much of that goal ammount has been donated by percentage or another method.

Will list the top 10 donators.

will add donators to a usergroup

will send a thank you pm to the donator

will send a notification pm to a designated user i.e forum owner

It will have a drop down ammount that the user can select from to donate

I require this to be interfacable via the ACP in phpbb3, i.e I want to be able edit details of the mod within the acp

Now with that said I have a current mod that is similiar to what I am asking above – it is simply missing, Donation goal, % of goal donated as well as listing the top 10 donators, and I am unable to edit the donation page text from within the ACP.

This should pretty much cut %75 pof the work out. I would like this done within a reasonable mannger. I can provide the mod to serious bidders only.

Must be active within chat communication.
