Simple Flash Game

August 24th, 2009 Comments off

I am re-posting this job because the last programmer was unable to do the artwork portion of the job.

Land Speed Racing Flash Game

I need a simple flash game built. The game will be about land speed racing based on the famous photograph of Rollie Free.

Rollie Free was a motorcycle rider who stripped down to just swim trunks, boots, and helmet and rode laying flat on a motorcycle so that he could go faster. See picture I have attached.

The basic features of the game should be:

The game should start with Rollie fully clothed (leather jacket, leather pants, helmet, boots, gloves) sitting at the starting line waiting to go. There should be a slightly portly person in white shirt, blue shorts, white hat that says SCTA on it, with a white beard and mustache. His shirt should say

Simple 2d Iphone Game

May 6th, 2009 Comments off

We are looking to create a simple game to kick off our iPhone App company. This game will not only serve as a preliminary source of income for more complicated and better Apps in the future, but we will also be looking for a programmer that can work quickly and efficiently in Objective C, Open GL, and any other programming languages that may come up in our business ventures. This means that if you complete this project with ease, we will plan on hiring you for a full time job as programmer, earning you a 20-30% cut of the total profits.

We will refer to the game Gauntlet Runner, Developed by “Ben”, in the rest of this description. We advise you to download this game at http://games.softpedia.com/get/Freeware-Games/Gauntlet-Runner.shtml so you can better acquaint yourself with the project.

We plan to make a game similar to Gauntlet Runner, but that will run on the iPhone interface. The main parts that we need you to program are: the editor (which is based on square tiles that a player, or developer, can order into levels), the movement of the actual player, which will be a simple fluffy ball that moves and bounces (all movement will be at a steady pace), and a .xml file integrated so that we can add pictures of tiles, and generally graphics for the entire game. We need to be able to edit these quickly and at any time, and be able to add new lines that the game will automatically recognize.

We have taken the time to find a ready-made 2d physics engine for your use. You can download it at: http://cocos2d.org/ . The creators have already made an iPhone version, so there is very little work for you to do.

As you can see this project is not very difficult, so we expect it to be done rapidly. We will supply the winning bidder with graphics, requirements for the Free and Paid versions, and any other materials they may ask for. More information on the fine points of the game will be given upon request.

Payment will be given upon completion. We will escrow a portion of the funds if necessary, but we hope that you will understand that we are doing this project to create initial funds and that your payment may be delayed until the game has started selling.

If you don’t decide to join in with us in partnership, then if you do good work, we will pay good bonuses depending on how well the games does. If you do decide to join in a partnership with us later on, the profits from this game will be included in the 20-30%.

The ABSOLUTE time limit should be two weeks.

Good luck and happy bidding!

P.S. Please post in the PMB with your experience.

Experienced Iphone Game Develo

April 27th, 2009 Comments off

We are looking for individuals or a company with good experience in development of iphone gaming application to develop an initial game for us. Our budget is $3,000 – $3,500. We have numerous projects in the pipeline, about 17 games/applications (and more in the future) that we want to develop. We are paying really well for this type of iphone gaming application compared to what other people pay on this site and we do this because we want to extend this relationship long-term with particular individuals or company. If this initial project is delivered successfully, that individual/company will be awarded the rest of dozens of future projects.

The basic qualifications for the individuals/company that we are looking for are below:

You need to:

1) have Strong experience in iphone application development and graphic design. You should be familiar with Xcode, iPhone SDK,OpenGL and Accelerometer
2) be able to do end-to-end/whole product lifecycle delivery for this game. This will include designing the graphics, coding it and providing basic sounds for this game.
3) have At least two successful applications in the app store
4) provide creative inputs/ideas to the design of the game. Someone from my company or me will work closely with this individuals/company to make sure the game gets developed as desired.

These are the basic requirements of the game:

1) It’s an adventure type games. It will involve 18 stages, 11 of which will involve moving graphics (kinda like Sonic the Hedgehog/Crash Bandicoot type games) and 7 are mini-games that involve static graphics.
2) It will be done in 3D. The game will involve accelerometer functions and touch screen abilities.
3) This game will combine multiple gameplays. For examples of the type of game that we are trying to develop, look in the Appstore for Fieldrunners, The Oregon Trails (a little less complex), Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D. You will get a clearer idea once you contact us but the above are just for you to get a feel.

The game will be submitted to the Apple App store and will be complete when approval is granted. An NDA needs to be signed before the start of the project.

Please send me your past projects (portfolio) and make sure you have experience posting in the App Store for both Free and Paid Apps.

We are looking to start this project ASAP.

Like mentioned previously, we are not looking for a one-time project development. We pay well for projects and have numerous projects in the pipeline that we want to develop, but we do want to emphasize on quality product delivery for each one of our project. If this initial project is delivered successfully, that individual/company will be awarded the rest of dozens of future projects.

Thank you.

Multiplayer Math Game Flash.

April 19th, 2009 Comments off

Hello, the project is to create a multiplayer flash game only for the registered members on my website.

When they click “Play now”, the game will popup and users will be asked for their username and password, if both username and password are right, according to MySQL database, the game will search for a suitable opponent (Will explain it soon).

When a match is found, the game will be ready to start.
When the game starts, random math problem starts dropping down like rain, 1 at a time. For example 24+14. The players have to answer before it touches the ground, when touching the ground, it pops and disapear then a new problem drops, such as 35/7. If the player answers the problem before it touches the ground, he gains 4 points, if he answers wrong, he loses 1 point.
The rain can drop SLIGHTLY faster every math problem.

EACH player has their OWN screen with their own random problems.
They can see how many points they have, their progress during the game.

Game would end perhaps when 50 problems passed, and the player with the most points wins the game. When the game ends, both players get to know who won, and how many points they both did. Both players will see “Re-Match”(play again vs same opponent),”Search again”(searches another game against a suitable opponent) and a small logout buttons on the top right of the game screen on which if they click, the math game exits.

The player statistics have to be uploaded to MySQL, which we will create a database for:

- username (Same as other members database of my website)
- Draws
- Wins
- Losses
- XP
- Level (60 XP = 1 level)

XP is calculated by wins and losses;
1 win = 10 XP
1 loss = -3 XP
When the player gains 60 XP, he levels up.

Here is the suitable opponent matching system:
When the players click “Play now” on the website and enter their login informations, there would be something saying “Searching…”
Until it finds an opponent.
The system must find an opponent +/- 5 levels of difference.
For example a level 10 player can play against players level 5 to 15.

In the game screen, while the players are playing, we should be able to see the player’s level, their wins, their losses and their draws.
For example
(level)Player1 30-25-4
vs
(level)Player2 40-19-3

For some inspiration, look at this game’s graphic :
http://venturebeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/lumosity-image-3.jpg

The rain and background can look something like this, with a little designed place where players enter their numbers with either numpad or keyboard.

The problem symbols should be [-,+,/,*]
And there most be a LOT of math problems. A lot. There should have a randomizing script.
A player shouldn’t be able to memorize the math problems after playing the game enough, you know, so randomizing script is essential.

I want a quality game, this shouldn’t be hard to give good graphics with a good dropping and popping animation(When rain touches ground when disapearing)
I will need frequent updates of the game, so if there’s something wrong it’s fixed fast.

Thanks.

Iphone Game App

March 24th, 2009 No comments

Overview:

This game is a word game. Players are presented with a short jumbled phrase and must use all of the letters to make a different phrase. There will be 5 different clues available for each puzzle that the player can use. The game will be played in rounds. Each round is made up of 10 puzzles. If the player’s score reaches a pre-determined threshold they trigger a bonus game at the end of the round. Scoring is based on time taken to solve the puzzles, number of clues used and score from the bonus game.

This game will use the iPhone screen in a horizontal orientation.

At the outset we are looking to get a single edition developed along with a ‘lite’ version for free download. The subsequent editions will use the same exact style of gameplay but will feature slightly different graphics, sound and will have a different database of puzzles.

We are looking for a quote on the full version and a companion lite version of a single edition. The ideal candidate will also be able to develop a facebook application of the same game at a later date.

Game Play:

The object of this game will be for the players to unscramble the puzzle in the shortest time possible using the least amount of clues.

After seeing the title screen of the game players are presented with their first puzzle. The puzzle phrase will occupy the top half of the game screen. Down the right hand size of the screen will be the icons for the 5 different clues. The bottom half of the screen will have spaces for the answer phrase.

Each letter of the puzzle phrase at the top of the screen will be on it’s own individual tile. In the answer area there will be slots for the tiles to drop into. Looking at the slots in the answer area the player will be able to see how many words are in the answer phrase and how many letters are in each word. Players are then able to touch the tiles and drag them to an slot in the answer area. After they have dragged a tile to the answer area the letter will still be lightly visible in it’s original space in the puzzle phrase.

When all of the tiles are in their appropriate slots in the answer area the game will recognize the puzzle is solved and will move the player onto the next puzzle.

Clues:

There will be a total of 5 clues available to assist the player in solving the puzzle. Some of the clues will place tiles in their correct slots. Others will display hints about answer itself. Unused clues are used as multipliers on the player’s score

Timer & Scoring:

Player’s scores are based on how long it takes them to solve the puzzle and how many clues they use. When a puzzle starts the players have an amount of points. When the timer reaches a predetermined threshold points are deduced from the player’s score at the rate of 2 per second. Their final score is the number of points multiplied by the number of unused clues.

Bonus Game:

The bonus game appears at the end of the round if the player has reached a predetermined scoring threshold.

In the bonus game a phrase appears and players have to make as many words as they can from the letters in that phrase. The words are entered in using the iPhone touch keyboard. Words must be 3 letters or longer. Points are scored for each letter of every accepted word.

Screens:

The game will be comprised of the following screens:

- Welcome screen
- Puzzle screen
- Bonus game screen
- Point total screen

Additionally the lite version will have an ad page for purchase of the full version.

Graphics & Sound:

We will provide all of the graphics and sound for the game.

Database:

The full version of the game will have a database of 300 puzzles. Each puzzle has 3 different scrambled phrases making for thousands of unique games. Additionally the database includes the clues relevant to that particular puzzle.

The lite version will have a database of 15 puzzles.

We will provide the database in the specific format needed for development.
