Simple Online Funeral Management System

January 30th, 2012 Comments off

I am looking for someone to program a simple online funeral management system. It needs to be a password protected area with basic user management where we can enter details into a database, select from some options and have a calendar of what is happening when as well as a check list of what needs doing. The data will need putting into a range of form templates some for printing and some for emailing as pdfs. Some of the forms are standard for each record, others vary depending on the options c…

Funeral Home Obituaries

January 20th, 2010 Comments off

Description: I have a funeral home website completed and I need a programmer to produce PHP/mySQL for the obituaries. I need both frontend and administration backend using php working from a sql database that will show the most recent obits (based upon time posted) and the ability to sort and view a listing all by date or last name. Clicking the name will navigate to that individual’s funeral services info. The individual page will show picture (or default graphic for when there isn’t any picture in database), a text area (for bio, obit, service info).

A similar example (with some added items) of what I’m after is here: http://www.krausefuneralhome.com/obituaries.php

Need mySql database created (SQL file creates MySQL DB schema), php pages (already have an html designed), a page to upload(create) new obits with picture, ability to modify by admin, archive after a specified periods and list by year(optional), and be able to have users send condolences (a guestbook feature) and post them to that obituary. Ability to print an obituary by visitor. (Optional)

Database would allow a unique ID, last name, first name, m.i., post date, death date, birth date, text area for visitation and obit information…similarly as seen in the url example above.

And last, installation readme doc and email communication with the programmer if needed to get installed and working on site. Would like for obituaries to be able to be used or framed in current website and not a separate site all together.
Thanks

Funeral Obituary Page

January 13th, 2010 Comments off

Have a funeral home website completed and I need to have a sub-domain for the obituaries. I need a page using php working from a sql database that will show the most recent obits (based upon time posted) and the ability to sort and view a listing all by date or last name. Clicking the name will navigate to that individual’s funeral services info. The individual page will show picture (or default graphic for when there isn’t any picture in database), a text area (for bio, obit, service info) and finally a form that will be generated for each page in which all emails go to the same email address but the subject line would be a variable using the deceased name. A similar example of what I’m after is here: http://www.krausefuneralhome.com/obituaries.php

Need mySql database created, php page (already have an html designed), a page to upload new obits would be nice but not necessary as I could use sql admin.

Database would be simple single table allowing a unique ID, last name, first name, m.i., post date, death date, birth date, text area for visitation and obit information…similarly as seen in the url example above.

Funeral Flowers Template Need

November 10th, 2009 Comments off

Allright I am needing someone to use a funeral flowers template for my website, to keep cost down not looking for a custom made one or custom logo installed. This template installed must be for funeral flowers though. I am an affiliate for a flower company and basically have a template before I send them to that page, so this template is only installed on this one page. I want a template that when you look at it that shows this site is 100% for people buying flowers for a funeral.

Mysql Database On My Site

October 30th, 2009 Comments off

I have a MySql database which has around 32,000 funeral homes in the database which has all the information about the funeral home…name, state, city, etc. I want this database to work with my homepage and what I mean by that is on my homepage I have all the states in the USA listed, I want them to be links and when you click on a state for example “Texas” it would then pull up all the cities in the database that are located in Texas on next page, then if they clicked a city on that page located in “Texas” for example “Houston” it would pull up all the funeral home names that are located in that city. Pretty simple database pull, but I mainly want to use it for SEO. I already have this same thing done on another site of mine but is done in a search box to find the information…I am looking for a more SEO friendly way.

This project is very simple, just looking someone that is very good with doing something like this. Need to be ready to work on this now and have yahoo messenger to communicate with me. This shouldnt take more then an hour to complete.

Database Admin/extraction

May 15th, 2009 Comments off

I have a simple one table database installed. I need someone to install an admin panel where I can add, edit, and delete the listings in my admin panel. Should be a user friendly system to make these edits for my database.

Second my database contains 17k listings of funeral homes. It’s a search panel that lets users search for the funeral homes by name, city, state, or zip code. These are for funeral homes in the USA so members can search for the funeral homes information to send flowers to. I am wanting to increase my database from 17k funeral homes to about 40k funeral homes to give my members more results for just about every funeral home in the USA. Here are some websites I found that I have NO ACCESS to their database files. I will need someone to extract the data from it and then install it onto my current database, wanting final total to be about 40k in my database, currently at 17k.

Extract the funeral homes data information from sites like:

http://www.yelobk.com/

you can sign up for a free account to see the database, but search the online directory they have, has all the 50 states in USA which contains all the data of the funeral homes information, just need that extracted and integrated into my current one table database.

Another site: http://www.us-funerals.com/funeral-homes.html

and: http://www.funeral-dir.com/online/Search.asp

That should put the database close to or around 40k in the database.

Now it is very important that the data you extract is not duplicate information of what is in my database. Might need to edit my database to insure the system is setup to not allow for any duplicate entries! Also on my simple one table database I would like it setup where when they search by name if they misspell an item they get similar results. For example if they search for a funeral home called “miller” but they misspell it in the name entry at “miler” I would like it for the system to display similar results instead of no results, or funeral homes that are similar in name, etc. so that way if they misspell the term they still can find it instead of the database just showing nothing.

One Table Database Fix

April 29th, 2009 Comments off

This project involves two things, this is for a simple one table database I have designed.

First task: I need an admin panel installed on my database where I can go in and edit, delete, and add entries in my database, should be an admin panel I can login to manage.

Second Task: On my database for some reason it is having problems showing results when people use “‘” or “-” (hypens or slashes)….for example when they search my database for Freds Funeral homes…they get results but if someone types in Fred’s Funeral homes…they get no results… because of the ‘ in the search term…. same thing with hypens…if someone searches for example: “Funeral-Homes” they get no results…but if they search for “Funeral Homes” they get the results…even though the entry might be called “Funeral-Homes”

I feel like I am going to lose alot of people that search it because they cant find what they are looking for…so basically need the results to show up even if the guest forgets to put the ‘ or the –

Also in this project I would like for you to fix the problem with misspells… is something is called for example : “Miller Funeral Home” you get tons of results…but if someone misspells it like “Miler Funeral Home” they get no results…I would like for the database to take into consideration the misspells of words and offer suggestions on what they might have meant since they misspelled it…

This is a simple one table database…so not sure with the above edits what you might have to do to fix this.

Need Information To Database

April 15th, 2009 Comments off

Hello,
I have a database already created. Its a database that allows people to search for funeral homes based off city, state, zip code. Then it will pull up all the funeral homes in that city or zip or state..etc. Database is already created on the site for this. The problem is I want to have all the funeral homes in USA added to this and doing it manually one by one is too time consuming. I have found a site that is just links to each state and then on the next page shows all the cities for that states with all the funeral homes and the information such as the funeral home name, state, city, zip, and phone number. My database made is already setup for all that information. What I am wanting someone to do is go to this one site that I dont have access to the database but each page has the funeral home information and just paste all of this information from each page and add it into my database.

Here is what I want you to copy:
http://www.usafuneralhomesonline.com/state-directory.html

as you can see it has each state in the USA and then when you click it you will see all the cities in that state with the funeral homes in each city, I need all this information somehow added to my database I already have made and designed for this kind of information.

Copy Database On Other Site

April 5th, 2009 Comments off

I dont have access to this database as it isn’t my website, I own a flower website where I sell funeral flowers on. Alot of people that visit my site come to order flowers but dont have the address of the funeral home on where to send the flowers to so they end up leaving my website. What I am wanting you to do is install this database on my vps server and then install it onto my website. I am looking for you to put this search bar where it fits onto the side of my webpage and when they search it will keep them on my website…so database will need to be installed on my website as I want to keep them on the website.

Here is what I want to make an exact copy of:
http://www.tributes.com/search/funeral_homes

As you can see on the above page they just type in the city and state, etc. and they get a list of all the funeral homes in that area, I am wanting you to copy their entire database and put it onto my site with the information that the database on their contains, again this will need to be installed on my website and put onto my website where it fits nicely so my members can use it to search for the funeral homes information.

Need Database From Other Site

April 3rd, 2009 Comments off

I need a database from another site & I dont have the database file or anything as it isn’t my site. But I am wanting to install the database seen on this website on my flowers website. Basically I have a website that sells flowers, I am wanting to install this database on my site so people can get the phone number and address of the funeral home of their choice without them having to leave my site as that is the case now.

The database I want is from this site seen here:
http://www.localflowershop.com/funeral-homes/index.cfm

If you look on that site you will see a search box called

“Find A Local Funeral Home In”

I am wanting all the database and information from that database installed on my flower website, I want them to stay on my website the entire time without leaving my site.

When you search for the funeral home of your choice it shows you all of the funeral homes in the local area as seen here:

http://www.localflowershop.com/funeral-homes/TX/Atascocita.cfm

When they click the funeral home of their choice, I would like a page just like this:

http://www.localflowershop.com/floristDetails.cfm?floID=164628

This shows a flower shop here, but instead I want the funeral home name they selected to show up with a map like that to the funeral home. Instead of the links seen on that page that says “visit website” or “send email” I would just like a link from that page to my homepage so they can go order flowers from my site…I dont want them to leave my site, basically this will allow them just to get the funeral homes address and phone number if they need it.
