Our client is running Phorum as a forum script. They have 2 mods installed that they would like customizing

1/. Banner Manager
2/. Static Pages.

Currently the Banner Manager only allows for 1 advert to be displayed at a time either at the top of the page or bottom. We would like it to display 4 on the righthand side of the page. See attached graphic.

I have 563 links Not found on google.co.uk and I am looking for an SEO expert how is used to solve this kind of issues.

When I create a post, wordpress automatically generates post tags which is good, however some of the tags generated by wordpress points to “page not found” error 404. Sometimes those tags are 1 letter tag like &, ),+
I don’t know what is best practice to fix this but I still want to have wordpress auto-generate post tags for my posts. I am not after a plugin that clean tags, because I will have more page not found in google.co.uk

Also some of those missing links that points to page not found relates to my wordpress theme that has a “language feature”, however it is hidden and disabled, yet the report shows that some of the pages not found are from language translation feature from my theme.

I want a have spider modified or built which ever is easier. You can use existing opensource libraries or anything, it doesn’t matter as long as it acheives the tasks.
I want to be able to run the spider as an applet and from the command line so that i can be execute as a cron job.

Our regular contractor is busy with some big PR opportunity, but these are his notes, so it’ll give you a first look at what needs to be completed and where he left off. From what I’ve seen, the default blog module allows for all users to create blog content, which of course is undesirable (all users, meaning your customers too.) There very well might be a way to make it so only admin users can use this… but I couldn’t see it.
so I found this:

which is basically instruction on how to do a drupal blog, BUT with limited “bloggers”. The downside is that to accomplish this it limits the people who can actually register… effectively eliminating the ability for customers to register at all. I’m having a very hard time getting this installed and working. So this is NOT a good solution.

I believe the trick is going to be using the default blog module, but figure out a way to limit the users who can post.

Ads:
The banner ad rotating deal seems like it will go REALLY well and is precisely what we’re looking for. I got it installed just fine, started setting things up, etc.. but then got to a point where I’m instructed to look under the help menu to find instructions on how to embed the ads on specific pages
(Administer -> “By module” tab -> then click on any “Get help” link)
All of those help links are broken. I searched all over for help with this, but can’t find any. I’m SOOO close on this, but for whatever reason I can’t access that documentation, and can’t find the content online.

If we can figure out why these links aren’t working, you’d be able to finish this one off.

- Meta Descriptions for store/product pages (Again, I simply cannot find a fix for this. I don’t know if it’s the way the store was built, or what, but for whatever reason the descriptions are not being rendered into the HTML.) I posted to the support forums, but I am not getting any response.

I’m trying to put together a group that could make an iphone game. It will be along the lines of Totem Destroyer 1 & 2 found here:

Also, I was hoping the cocos2d engine would be used for this since it contains almost all the required things for the game to be finished. It can be found here:cocos2d.org

It will work the same way, but with a slightly different art style.
Since I’m a student and currently without a job this is my one current hope for making money. This project is a profit sharing one so don’t bother bidding if you want an upfront payment. The upside to this is that if the game sells well, you will receive your asking price and a bonus depending on the sales.

None of the artwork finished as of yet, but as soon as a programmer is found I will get to working on it.

Solving the problem using a CGI is fine, but I wanted to implement this

I would like a program/script written in PHP and/or Java (or ANY other language) that will help someone locate instances of copyright infringement on the Internet of documents that the author has written.

This project would be divided into THREE PHASES.

In PHASE ONE of this project, you would develop the core program code. The program would do the following:

1. Search through a specified folder (on a web server’s hard drive) for any Microsoft Word, RTF, PDF, or plain text documents that may exist in that folder (and, optionally, any sub-folders). The software would then take a user-defined number of random samples of contiguous text (i.e., a user-defined number consecutive words) for EACH document in that folder/sub-folder).
a. The user should have the ability to specify the amount of “distance” (measured in words) between the samples that are taken, i.e. the user can specify that the samples are to be taken every 250 words, 500 words, 750 words, etc.
b The user should be able to select the document types that are searched for (Microsoft Word, RTF, PDF, or plain ASCII text documents).

2. The software would then take those samples (strings of text) and query Google.com and/or Docstoc.com (pre-selected by the user) to identify and find any matches (instances of copyright infringement).

3. For any matches are found, the software would then log:
a. the URL of the page on which the match is found
b. the TITLE of the html page on which the match is found
c. the file name of the source document from the user’s local hard drive
d. the date and time of the query in which the match was found on the offending web site
e. whether the match was found on Google.com or Docstoc.com
f. the exact string of text that was discovered on Google.com or Docstoc.com.

4. The log generated in #3 above should then be exportable as a comma delimited text file (CSV file). It should also be displayed on screen. The user will select if he wants to view the report on screen or export to CSV.

If you think another programming language would be better than PHP, please specify in the PMB what language you would use and WHY that would be better than PHP. In the SECOND PHASE of this project, I would like you to develop a Windows compatible stand-alone application that the user could install/execute on his computer that will do the same thing as 1-4 above, except that the initial queries and sampling of the documents would take place ONLY on the user’s LOCAL hard drive. No text would be relayed back to the web server. The program would still search for the matches on the Internet in the same way and create a CSV report and screen report.

In the THIRD PHASE of the project, I would like for you to add the capability to the web site version so that the program/script can query the user’s local hard drive and retrieve the samples of the documents on the user’s local computer, and then relay them back to the web server for processing and querying on the Internet. The CSV file and screen report would then be accessible from the web server to the user.

When I for example search for “aannemers” within “nederland” (this means I want to search for contractors within the Netherlands, the website provides the following link that shows all found results.

I want to program to create a file and display all found results displayed one complete result per page.

1) Company name
2) Address
3) Phonenumer
4) Emailaddress

The emailaddress and phonenumber is can be gotten by the links just under the found result.
There is the option for the phonnumber and emailaddress shown in green.

After all results are grabbed whe want the same or otherwise another small program to check the output file for duplicates and remove these.

From a facebook.com page, visitors can click upon a link. This leads to www.domain.com/members

IF the person has not come from a facebook.com page, they will, instead, be directed to www.domain.com/nonmember where there will be an error message saying “You must be a Facebook fan to access the offers”

- When arriving at www.domain.com/members location the user has the following options:
1) read how this site works
2) get a membership number
3) view offers
4) reminder of membership number

Each of these must lead to a separate page. These pages must be within the ‘members’ area and therefore ONLY visible IF the visitor came from the facebook.com page. Otherwise the pages must divert to the “nonmember” message.

options 1) and 3) would lead to simple (but protected) text pages.

- email address (to send your code to)
- repeat email address
- first name
- surname
- gender (male or female)
- location
- set your own security question (eh “name of favourite pet”)
- answer to the question
- mobile phone number (to send your code to)

All of these are compulsory fields and should be checked / validated.
Any “+” in front of the mobile number should be stripped off.
If the mobile phone number then does not begin with “07″ or “44″ an error message should be generated.
If the mobile phone number begins with “0″, this should be replaced with “44″
If the mobile phone number does not then fir the format “447xxxxxxxxx” (12 digits) an error message should be generated.

There should also be a CAPTCHA code to precent robot entries.

Upon clicking “send” an email should be sent to the address containing a randomly generated 16 digit membership number of the format xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

All of the above data (including the membership number) should be stored in a mySQL database.
NB: if the email address is ALREADY stored in the database, an error message to this effect should be returned as opposed to creating a new membership.

*** Option 4 would simply request an email address:
- if this is found in the database, an email is sent containing the membership number
- if it is not found, an error message is returned.

A further directory (open to all) – www.domain.com/vendor would

- request the membership number using four horizontal boxes in the format xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
- request a CAPTCHA code.
- “your vendor name”

If either of the first two were incorrect, an error message would be given.

Otherwise the web page will display “The member is valid. [His/her] name is [firstname] [surname]“.

The member number / name and vendor name would be written to a .txt log file along with the date and time.

I need a simple standalone batch image resizing application done for win xp.
Specs as follow:

-Needs to batch resize all pics (jpeg files) in a specified folder (+all its subfolders) with these specs:

+I Need to be able to specify a min+max size

(example, if i set: min size: 640×480 / max size: 1600×1200:
- all pics that are smaller than 640×480 will be resized bigger to match the min size
- all pics that are found bigger than 1600×1200 will be downsized smaller to match the max size)
- all pics that are in between the min/max size will be left untouched

+Need to be able to specify a min+max file size

(example, if i set: min file size: 50kb / max file size: 200kb:
- all pics that are smaller than 50kb will be saved at a bigger size (higher jpeg quality) to match the min file size
- all pics that are found bigger than 200kb will be downsized/compressed (jpeg quality/compressed) to match the max file size

+Needs to keep the initial image ratio &amp; process portrait/landscape images accordingly.

+When i select a folder to batch-resize, it needs to add all the pics found inside its subfolders.
All the new/processed images need to overwrite the old ones.

I am looking to have an online school developed. I have been searching online and found alot of open source programs but they have TONS of bugs in them, so looking for someone on here to develop it. I have a school and I want my students to be able to log in and download files to study from, then take a quiz/test online, see their score, download a certificate of completion, and also have an admin panel for instructor to see who hasnt taken the test, who has, etc. and allow them to update the course lessons. I want the thankyouforyourorder.php page to make a mysql query to my database’s table to figure out exactly which associate made the sale.

If we find a perfect match of the sales’ email address in my database then:
If only one match is found then that associate gets a particular email (similar to the one in lines 47-86)
Else if more than one match is found, the matching associates receive a special email
Else (if email address not found at all in database) then the current email is still used.
