I have an excel sheet with first names and gender data in different columns. the problem is —-but some gender info is blank. i want to attain values to gender data like 1 or 2. if male=2 if female=1. and i know that mary is female ad mike is male.

This a a very easy project for someone that has experience in building forums.

Since ITV have closed their F1 forum (http://forums.itv.com/101/ShowForum.aspx), it has left a gap and many of the regular posters have not had any other alternatives.

Phase 1:
I would like someone to help me start a Formula 1/ Motor Sport forum.
The forum will use the IP.Board 3 forum software.
Target users are in the UK (hence why the domain name ends in the .uk extension).
I already have the software and domain.

The selected programmer needs to do an intensive research to to come up with categories (you can’t just go to other similar forums and copy all the categories because it has to be different from the rest to some extent). Obviously you are then required to write a description etc. etc. You will basically build the forum from scratch using the IP.Board 3 software and post any rules etc. within each thread/category. Also you need to create the keywords and meta descriptions that are relevant.

As this is a project from scratch I need a logo designed as well, however if you are not a designer we can work something out to outsource the logo design to someone else.

To get each category started you will have to post new topics within each category, maybe 2-4 new thread starters from unique users.

Phase 2:
Providing we are satisfied with phase 1, in this phase we will work together to moderate the forum and keep it buzzing with new users, posts and visitors! We have not yet decided how to make this work, however it maybe just by paying you as a forum poster.

I need help with an Excel 2010 worksheet. I have calculated the n-Percentile of a data series. Now I need to find a way (preferably a formula) that can calculate an average on the values of the data series but only if they fall within some of the Percentiles.

Since I have many data series (thousands), I need something that works automatically. The problem with the Averageif function is that the criteria cannot be referenced to cells. This means that I should enter the Percentiles as criteria in the averageif function for every data series. It will take too much time and result in a mess.

Any workaround or solution ? MUST BE EXCEL..and very simple too.

Takes a time stamp like “2009-03-01 15:00:00″ and counts the days from this date to today.

so for example if the time stamp is 2009-09-27 15:00:00 and today is the 28th, the next column over will say 1.

Needs to work no matter what the year or month is in the time stamp and needs to scale to unlimited entries.

My ultimate goal is to plot tessellating shapes on Google Map.

To achieve this I have a database consisting of 2 tables.

Table A has 50 records, with 4 columns (id, name, latitude, longitude). These entries form my centres of interest, and are the main points to be plotted on Google Map.

Table B has thousands of records, with 4 columns (id, name, latitude, longitude). This are my secondary points of interest that need plotting on Google Map.

For each entry in table A, I need to find the 100 closest (Miles), entries from table B. These results are going to form my shapes on Google Map.
Results within each shape (ie entries from table B), cannot be duplicated, they must all be unique.
I need to know the id and lat/lng of each result, so perhaps the results can be inserted into another table?
Once I have my 100 results, I want to know the boundaries, so I believe I have to run them through the Convex Hull formula.
Again I want to know the id and lat/lng of these boundaries, so perhaps store these results in another table.

It’s these results of the boundaries I’ll plot on Google Map.

Records are continually being added to table B, but will not be taken into consideration until this script is run again.

I need to contain all the workings on the server, before I send/plot anything on Google Map.

This script will form a report that will need to be run on multiple occasions (max 10 a day).

I need A Macro written that logs onto a website and runs a report. The Macro can cycle through a list of states and run for each state. The report can be right-clicked and exported to excel. The Macro will have to do this.

When the reports are downloaded to excel it would be great if they could be in seperate tabs.

On 1 sheet it will have all of the formulas and totals.
I’ve already created the layout of the totals but will need the formulas and macros to retrieve the right totals.

The totals will be calculated from a bill that is provided on the next excel sheet.

I have a number of excel .dif files that need to be imported into a new table into an access db (I have access 2003) so that various reports can be created and I have an existing Access 2003 db that needs some formulas changed.

Specifics of job:

1. table name: tblEvents
2. Form name: frmImportEvents
3. Model form: frmImportHist
4. Add Field: Alpha (10 char) CowNo and populate with characters from file name prior to first “-”.
5. Add Field: Numeric (8 char) LactNo populate based on formula below.
6. This will link into the tblCombined by the cow number.

7. Field names

Excel into access
Date becomes Dt
Event becomes Event
Event Info stays Event Info
Comment becomes Event Comment

Additional fields:
CowNo comes from file name as described above
FileName is the file name for that imported record
ImportDt is the date this record was imported

8. Formula:

LactNo.
A. If exists, On Date where Event = Entry, LactNo = 1 (prior to this occurance LactNo is 0 and after follows rules below.)

B. LactNo remains 1 until, Event = Calving (after an Event = Dry) then increment by 1 (ie. becomes 2).

C. LactNo remains the same until, Event = Calving (after an Event = Dry) then increment by 1.

1. Add into the Combined Form a date field for “Use Hist today/prior:” [field A-date]

2. Add into the Combined Form a date field for “Initial Study Date:” [field S-date]

3. Add into the Combined Form a date field for “No. Missing Daily Days:” [field-M-Days]

4. Add into the Combined, Daily & Hist Tables an indexed alpha-numeric field for CowNo + date called COWDT

5. Removed field error tag and any formulas related to it.

6. Set Up Easy way to choose between 1 of 2 default sorts:
A. Day/Cow sort = 1st Dt Descending, 2nd CowNo Ascending
B. Cow/Day sort = 1st CowNo Ascending, 2nd Dt Descending

In combined table (formulas trigger by the Combined Form),

1. Cause the DailyYld to be the Milk field from tblHist for all dates less than or equal to A-Date ELSE use the DailyYld from tblDaily

2. Pull the 1st occurrence of a new LactNo (1,2,etc) from the tblEvents

3. Calculate the DIM by incrementing 1 per day from the initial number pulled in #2 above.

4. Add date field, placed left of ID, populate with date when Event = Birth from tblEvent

5. Add text field (10 char), “DataSrc”, populate with ‘Daily’ when any data on that date for that cow (ea cow should have 1 unique row for Cowno + date) comes from tblDaily for that cowno + date row else populate with ‘Hist’.

6. Change EntryDt formula – currently not correct – to the following:
A. For a given cow, the 1st date occurrence of Grp = 2 or 4 after S-Date

7. Change ExitDt formula – currently not correct – to the following
A. Based on Sort, 1-CowNo, 2-Dt then If EntryDt greater than 0 and the preceeding [M-Days] of records DataSrc = “Hist” then ExitDt = 1st Day DataSrc changes from Daily to Hist.
Ask me for an excel example if needed.

Change field widths in Combined table:
1. CowNo – add 4
2. DailyYld add 2
3. GynStatus add 12

Conditions to cover:

1. Existing data – in combined table.
– Zap and Recreate Combined table each time the form is run.

2. Cows in tblHist or tblDaily but not in tblEvent – Pull LactNo & DIM data from tblDaily for those dates ELSE leave blank.

In Formula in the tblDaily form:
1. Daily import – change the date imported (drawn from the file name) from the date in the file name to (date in the file name minus 1).
