Hi, I have a website www.whatsupottawa.com . Looks great on a Mac and on Firefox and google chrome but when I use Internet explorer the fonts looks really bad. They are skinny and look like bug legs.

See attached images.

First images are from front page and from inside business page. You will see the difference between the internet explorer one and the firefox one.

Let me know if you can fix this and how you will do it. If you need a copy of my current CSS I will attach it.

I believe we need to change 10 or so fonts to make them appear the same in Firefox and Internet explorer.

I’m looking for a clone/script of a site like logogarden (dot) com or logomaker (dot) com. There are a lot of free tools out there but I need a complete solution with back end where I can upload fonts, symbols, etc. This needs to be stable and scalable so that I can add thousands of icons.

In the front end users need to be able to browse icons from the data base by category (e.g. accounting, or color, or letter). There also needs to be a search function so users can find icons or fonts by tags. Tags will be added to describe fonts, icons when uploaded.

The front end should be a simple interface that allos the user to add one or two lines of text. The first for the company name and the second for the slogan. The user needs to be able to scale the size of the font and icon and align them in whatever way they choose.

I’m thinking the icons should be uploaded as PNG so they haev a transparent background and users can arrange the icon and font in whatever way the like and as close to each other as they wish. I am open to suggestions however.

Hi I have a simple project that needs to be done.

Its maybe an hours job for someone that has Flash experience.

Basically I need a flash file to auto detect fonts off my server, an ability to add sample text and to be able to view it in the flash file.

The fonts are named as font1.ttf etc and these need to appear the same way in the drop down list in alphabetical order.

It would be great to have a file so I can configure the script.

There needs to be a choice of choosing the background colour and font colour (drop down list is fine) as well.

So the flash file will will be stored on the same server as the fonts but the webpage that contains the swf will be on a different website on a different server.

Its that simple.
So how this works is like this.

Page loads, there is a text box I add text choose colour for text and colour for background click on the update button and shazzam it appears on screen in the flash file.

Nothing complicated.

Again, your imagination can roam free on this one, but you MUST adhere to web 2.0 standards. Color theme/palette – I don’t care what colors you choose, but you MUST stick to a theme/palette. We have been working on a set of PHP scripts that output short A4 documents to advertise real estate.

There are 3 variations of the same document, in each of the following languages:

English
German
Spanish
Combined English/German/Spanish

So in total there are 12 document versions.

Our system uses the FPDF library to format and produce the documents.

It also uses the UFPDF extension to handle the European language encoding in UTF-8.

The problem we have is that the only font provided with UFPDF does not format well and corrupts the output. It is not proportionally spaced.

The fonts we need to use in each document are standard “Times New Roman” and “Arial”.

Due to the necessity to output full UTF-8 encoding for the European character sets, we have been unable to resolve this issue.

We need somebody to modify our scripts and/or provide working fonts so that our documents output correctly.

Attached is a sample PDF output by our scripts. You should immediately see the problem with the fonts.

Please only bid if you are experienced with PDF creation using PHP. You must also be very experienced with UTF-8 encoding and European languages.

We have no time to be lost for you to experiment in the hope of finding a solution. You must already be experienced in this work and be able to provide a quick solution.

I know that this Editor has a list of all the Fonts that it uses, so my question is.

Would it be possible to do, so that I can upload Fonts to a folder on a server, and then be able to use these Fonts inside this Editor.
Meaning that the Font dropdown box will ONLY have the Fonts that I upload to the Folder on the server. I can also delete these Fonts again, meaning that these Fonts will not be shown in the Font dropdown box.

I have heard that the Font used in a Editor must be on the computer viewing a webpage. Meaning that if my computer does not have the Font called “Arial Black”, and I would like to view a webpage where this Font is been used, my computer will then use a diferent Font insted of the “Arial Black” Font.
Is that true, and if yes. Is there a way to do so that the Fonts I upload to the Folder on the Server is the Fonts that people will see, even if this Font is not on their computer?

urgent need to recreate fonts check the attached file..

Professional support is needed for implementing PHP + CSS Dynamic Text Replacement (see “http://code.google.com/p/pcdtr/”) in a Joomla 1.5.12 CMS. A standard XAMPP 1.7.1 installation and a clean Joomla 1.5.12 installation with example files would be suitable as test platform.

My attempts to run the PCDTR within the Joomla CMS did not show the desired effect so far. A modification of the PCDTR files is presumably necessary. If the efforts do not seem to be reasonable (e.g. complete reprogramming of the PCDTR) an alternative strategy for replacing Truetype Fonts with images within a Joomla CMS is welcome, whereas the support of line breaks is essential. As commercial fonts are used,a solution that transfers the fonts directly to a web client does not suit the needs.
