I have a collection of books and folders that i need scanned and OCR’d and produced into pdf files. the books comtain legal cases so each case will need to be scanned ocr’d and created into a pdf doc.

there are around 10 books and around 15 folders. the books and folders will be courier delivered to you and they must be returned via courier before the next folder is sent to control the quality of work.

no mistakes are acceptable and the project will be ongoing so its worth getting it award…

This is probably best done in a .bat file. Be sure to check your work (check the folders to make sure the correct files are there) before your submission. You will need to put your final submission on your server and I can download it from there. I must be able to download the file and check your work before payment.

My client needs to be able to easily create password protected folders that their clients can login to to view booth renderings. They also need a password protected folder to display all their current booth inventory that is available for lease.

The client is not very computer-saavy, so the creation of new users needs to be very easy. We discussed having a password protected folders with the naming convention (user:pass) so the client can easily add new users, and drag and drop the appropriate files into the folder.

What will it do?

1. I will run the program
2. It will go through a defined folder and all its sub folders
3. It will GRAB all the META DATA from the images in those folders
4. And then create an excel file. The headings of the columns will then obviously be the name of the fields ….

User should be allowed to define the folder where excel files will be stored and maybe name them after date_time.extention

Note : Play with the images included, they have meta tags.. And please remember, the program has to be very robust since in some folders I might have a thousand images.. so don’t create something that crashes pls Or atleast stay handy so you can adjust it.

We want a browser based uploading script to allow our users to upload a video into just one of various folders. They select which folder. Post the video into the S3 folder, it is available online, and uploader next be redirected to another page. Put into our webpage which uses xml.

Scan this folder /test/dates/

Within that folder there might be subfolders.

If subfolders are found they are in the format %year%-%month%-%day%-%hour%-%minute%-%second%

So for example this folder might exist there: /test/dates/2011-01-01-13-00-00

Meaning folder is date:
: year 2011
: month 01
: day 01
: hour 01
: minute 01
: second 01

there might exist one folder or none but mostly its alot of folders.

The folders date is always in the future – could be days / hours that differ but mostly the folders are a few minutes in the future.

Then the script should compare the current date with the folders date.

And if the folders date is not more than 10 minutes in the future it should run a bash file:

I prefer if the script is in perl format.

I need a file management program that will allow my users to keep track of imported files. The program should have simple file import wizard to allow users to import files and assciated folders into a central MY FILES files folder in the users My Documents. Typically, these files are stored on an SD cards root directory in two folders named RECORD and SNAPSHOTS. It should also check to make sure the files are not already imported and compare file data. Some files may have the same name but came from different units.

Import wizard should allow user to browse to the drive and folder where the files are stored. Have check boxes for selecting the file types to import. Allow user to create and name new folder for the files or select and existing folder to import to. There are two types of files to import that are contained in seperate filders. Each one is a binary file and has a .DAT file type and an image or folder with other files that will also have to be import with it.

The file manager should have a tree view of all the folders contained in the MY FILES folder. Some of the .DAT files being imported have an embeded thumbnail. The files with thumbnails should show the thumbnail in a list view and the files without thumbnails will have a generic thumbnail to display in the list view. The thumbnail should be clickable to open the full image associated with the thumbnail in a small popup viewer. Some files will have another program associated with them that is beyong the spec of this project. Next to the thumbnail will be some file information that is read from the file. Each file is in binary format and contains some general info such as date, time, file name, length. The user should also have the ability to add a description or notes in a text box for each of the files.

The application should also have menu features to create new folders and cut/copy/paste/delete files and associated folders. User should not be able to delete a folder unless he has deleted all the files in the folder first as a safety feature and dialog boxes should pop up asking the user to confirm the deletion.

The code MUST be in VB.net.

UI should be neat and simple with Menu and Menu Buttons. On installation it should create the MY FILES folder in the users My Documents. In the tree view, if the user has selected the highest folder, the program should search all sub folders and display the thumbs of all files in the sub folders of the tree. This way the use could select a specific folder to view only those files, or select the top folder to view all the files at once.

I have folders that contain a bunch of images. Every 12 images is a group. I need a script that I can put into any folder and have it go through and place every group of 12 images into it’s own folder with a simple naming structure like 01, 02, 03, etc..

The project has to do with the formtoemail script that I’m using to gather data off a series of about 100 similar websites.

The form has a bbc feature on it. I’m running that form on about 100 sites. But the problem is that I have to come up with a better system, because if I need to add another email to the bbc section of the form that means uploading again to all 100 sites which is very time consuming.

Someone had suggested that all I need is a script or some kind of shell access that would allow me to set which folders I want to upload the form to. That way I could just choose the folders on my host, and click send and then it would automatically upload each formtoemail.php page to all those folders. So I think that might be one solution to this. Unless you have a better solution?

We require an online document manager that will upload and store documents in pdf format.

The document manager is for a letting agency and will be required to store and link folders to for the following

Alright here is what we would like to accomplish,

We have folders on our server, what we want to do is deny access to the contents of he folders from everyone except for authorized websites.

So we want to allow authorized websites to use our scripts, images and other items in the folders but if they are not authorized we don’t want anyone to access the content.

We tried .htaccess however it would block everyone from the content because the content was being requested from the user not the website, we need to authorize the content use by the website based on domain name.

So if a user goes to xxx.com the user can see out images and use the scripts if that website if authorized to use the things inside that folder, however if they are not authorized the things in the folder don’t show and don’t function for that website.

The things inside the folder should only be accessible from the authorized site or sites.

This is simple security and should not cost much or take much time.

*1 IP download links*
Torrented files will be in a special folder in the user’s virtual drive which can only be viewed by the user when logged in. i.e.: to prevent users from sharing links to files in the torrent directory, they must be logged in to get the download links – and to prevent users from sharing download links – only the IP address of the logged in user that generates a link in THAT specific instance will be able to download from that link using their web browser or download manager.

User will have the ability to toggle entire folders and individual files are private or publicly viewable

We want users to be able to download multiple files as one .zip file. We have a module for nginx programmed for us that can do this. Upon being supplied a list of files, their crc32′s, and other relevant information that we already have available, this module will create a zip file on the fly to stream to the end user, while also supporting resuming.

In order to finish this functionality, our script needs to let the user decide which files they want to include in their .zip archive they are downloading, and then pass the list of files off to the nginx zip manager when the user tries to download the .zip archive.

The user should be able to select which files to zip from their virtual drive interface.

*DMCA banning feature*
We will need to be able to ban individual .torrents, or individual actual files, in order to respond to DMCA complaints.

As we plan to be able to quickly support many servers, thousands of users, and many terabytes of files in a system that may or may not properly handle this, load testing and scaling testing will be needed before launch to identify our initial bottlenecks so that we can address them.

In a nut shell, I installed a lot of different php template sites, under one domain name, each site in it’s own folder.

I would like for the index.html page in the root folder (which has no website) to have a thumbnail of each of the sites in all the folders, with a link to that particular site.

I think it’s better if the index page is created before hand, not dynamically, especially since I plan to keep adding more sites in new folders, so I want to be able to re-create the index page whenever I want.

So basically, I’m looking for a script/program that would go to each first level folder, one by one, (and not further into sub-folders), read the index.php page, create a 100×100 snapshot/thumbnail of what the index.php would deliver, (save a thumbnail file in a folder in the root directory?), create the index.html page for the root dir (3-4) thumbnails per row (variable that I can change), and hyperlink to the appropriate page.

I should be able to run this program whenever I want, and it would re-create the entire index.html file, this way if I change the php templates or images, the thumbnails on the .html will also change. (Overwrite of the new thumbnail is fine.)

Photo Script
Synopsis
This project is for the preparation of photos for uploading. It deals with photo rename, resizing and copying on a windows xp/vista environment.

1st Script
The photos that are going to be processed have the following folder structure

/Location
/Studio
/Houses
/Church
/Reception
/Party

Script Functions:
1. The script should start very easily and fast with no or few parameters
2. Rename all images of each folder: All images under /[name] will be named like a001.jpg , a002.jpg etc. So
a. /Location = a###.jpg
b. /Studio = b###.jpg
c. /Houses = c###.jpg
d. /Church = d###.jpg
e. /Reception = e###.jpg
f. /Party = f###.jpg
3. After the renaming is done the script should create a folder called /images. It should copy all images inside this folder and delete the empty folders that are left over when is done.
4. Script should start resizing & replacing the images. The biggest side of an image should be 600 pixels ( I would like this dimension to be editable somewhere) . The other side off course should be auto calculated to keep correct aspect ratio. The quality should be reduced to something like 70% of the original (good web quality).
5. After is done it should create a folder called /thumbs. It should copy (duplicated not move) all the resized from /images photos in there.
6. When the copying is completed the scripts resizes the images to thumbs. The biggest side of the thumb should be 75 pixels ( I would like this to be editable somewhere). The other side is auto calculated.

2nd Script
The photos that are going to be processed are going to be in a random name folder structure up to 1 level for example:

/random_foldername_xysoks
/pskspdoksd

Script Functions:
1. The script should start very easily and fast with no or few parameters
2. The script should traverse in the random name folders. the photos are in there i.e. /random_foldername_xysoks/photo1.jpg
3. Resize all photos (as 1st script) under /random_foldername_xysoks/ and create a folder /random_foldername_xysoks/images and copy them in there.
4. Create a folder /random_foldername_xysoks/thumbs and copy the photos in there
5. Generate the thumbs, replacing the existing photos.
6. The /random_foldername_xysoks/ folder should contain now only the 2 folders /images & /thumbs
7. Repeat for all folders the script will find

Explanation of the softwares
Then there will be two softwares like twins. One for the server(admin) part and one for the client part. Let’s give them names server (to be installed on the Windows/Linux server) and client (to be installed on the user’s desktop).

Now I will explain the client first.

Client is like download manager but way less features. I want it simple and light, also I’m hoping you could make this cheaper. Let’s say it only has the following options,

– Account Login
– Default Download Path
– Download Speed Limits
– Link Pasting Box
– Hide in System Tray when minimize etc (Y/N)

It will be just like a very simple downloader with some must-include features above.

also I changed my mind about the “SERVER” it seems it’s difficult to make desktop software. Since I plan to run the SERVER software on Linux dedicated server on Cpanel, I want it be installable on the Cpanel and it should be something like web hosting service software.

IE, it reminds the user about expiration dates of subscription etc by sending the message to the User’s “CLIENT” software and the user email. So the user gets the message etc etc.

Now the server part. It will be like a controller or something like an FTP server like FileZilla. I want to have the following features,

– Create New Account (base on monthly, for example when I create a new account there should be option for how many month etc, it’ll be like a subscription)
– Limit How Many ACTIVE IPs Can 1 Account Have
(also able to increase the limit incase some people want more IP for group uses etc but must have defailt value)
– Premium Account Logins
– Folder path for DOWNLOADED FILES and folder for where files will be stored while the user is downloading the files from the server
– Status window of how much bandwidth are used by the Premium accounts (it’s needed for some premium accounts like Rapidshare
– Status window of active accounts with their IPs, downloading speeds, number of connections (in digits, ie 12 or 20 etc). But I want a feature to set how many connections each user can have (I’m thinking each account can have 10 connection currently but I might want to keep on changing this later so. Btw don’t confuse this with how many ACTIVE IPs each account can have.
– Log windows for last logined IPs of the accounts

How server and client will connect to each other
I will give my server a domain. Let’s say it’s myserver.com. Then you hardcode that domain in client (hardcode, meaning it’s not changeable by the user, So the software will always connect to that domain as that software is made only for a single site). The reason why I want it to be setup by DOMAIN is because, I might want to change the server sometimes which will cost in IP changes which needs to be changed whenever the server is changed so I think it’s better to use the domain name.

Once client is set to connect to the domain, it will send the Account Login information entered in the client to server. server will check and if its account is correct or still available, it will allow to connect.

If not available anymore, show this message:

Account is no longer valid, expired or account infos changed.
Click here to create new account or extend it.

“here” should redirect to a link I setup in the client’s window.

How it should work

A user will copy a list of download links and paste into client. Then client will send those links to server and the status on client should say “WAITING…” while the links are being sent to server then when server receives the links, it will download those links to its harddrives using the premium accounts provided in the “Premium Account Logins”. While server is downloading the files to its HDD, client should show “Queueing…” with percent increasing as the files are downloading. When the files are downloaded to the server, client will start downloading from server.

If the pasted links are not current in the “Premium Account Logins” on server, then client will show this message after pasting the links.

these sub-folders are the folders that are made when new download links are sent from the client by users, the files downloaded to the server are save to those folders and then client will download from those folders. No extractions or what so ever should be done. It will just sent the files to client as it got from the file hosters.

For example:

someone pasted a list of 5 RAR download links in client, client sends the download links to server (client will show “Waiting…” while sending the links to server, incase it takes long). Now server creates a new sub-folder like I showed above with the user’s username as the subfolder’s prefix (ie. —[jack-hjfgdhkfda])and download the files in that folder. While downloading the files, client shows “Queueing…” to the user. When server is done downloading, client will automatically download the files now to the user’s haddrives. After the user has downloaded from Server, server will delete that folder completely to free more space. Btw the user only sees the files, not by the sub-folder.

In the future
I also have other plans if this program goes well. I plan to add more file hosters and also their Premium Account Logins. Also other features like able to set “Preferred Server” and give the following options <EU> <US> on client etc (this is when I have more servers in US and EU). I might also want it to compatible with NZB files (.nzb) and Torrent (.torrent) files. For torrent files someone will paste or upload the .torrent file to server using client and server will download that .torrent file and download the files from the trackers then will seed back to the ratio value that’s setup in server.

But for now ignore the “In the future” part.

I just want to make sure that it is a good solid script and things can be added to it and that it is easy to work with after it is done.

I have a Windows folder structure, that I use as a template for projects. Different folders have different access privileges.

I need a IIS .NET WebService that will copy the folder structure, give it a name based on URL parameters, and place it at the defined location while either resetting the different folder permissions or transferring them across.

It will then write the defined URL to a Oracle database with the parameters. The parameters passed (some can be blank) will be documentID, name, secondary ID. It is possible that the last one is blank, but when it gets populated, and passed, it should be updated in the database.

When the service parses a request second time around, it needs to check for matches on any of the paramaters, so to retrive and redirect the user to the correct URL. The URL will be to a shared drive, ie M:Client folders”name”. The permissions is only set initially.
