- I need to be able to block the Flowplayer SWF from being embedded into other sites. I have found an AS example but am not competent with AS so do not know what to do with it: http://www.wowza.com/forums/showthread.php?6078-Hide-the-real-path-of-player

- I would like the Flowplayer to detect if there is currently a live stream being sent to it. If there is not (so the live stream is offline) then an associated VOD file (say from a playlist) gets loaded into the player and played. But if the live stream is on then the live stream gets loaded into the player. If there are no VOD files associated with the player then an image should be loaded stating ‘Live stream offline’.
If the live stream was offline when the user loaded the page then I would like the live stream to keep being checked in the background and as soon as it is live loaded into the video player.
This should work for both live RTMP and Apple HTTP streaming?

I have a custom Flowplayer integration on a video website using FMS streaming.

Currently, there are problems with the aspect ratio. The player is 4:3 but will not show 16:9 videos correctly.
I’ll need the player fixed so that:
- 16:9 videos show correctly (within a 4:3 player)
- in Fullscreen mode, videos should also show in the correct aspect ratio no matter if the screen of the user is 4:3 or 16:9

I have a finished and working video browser system built with a flash menu applet that reads an XML file, and makes simple javascript calls to a shadowbox popup (overlay) which then plays flv videos in jwplayer.

Without changing the Flash applet (XML can change somewhat), I wish to add the following features and capabilities:

1 convert the output to jquery+flowplayer, with a video popup overlay similar to examples at the flowplayer site. There are many source code examples at flowplayer.org

2 serve videos from my existing MaxCDN account using RTMP with a secure token. I already have the videos served via maxcdn in http mode. Secure token capability will be added to this account. The RTMP version of Flowplayer must be used and configured for RTMP and secure token. support.maxcdn.com has information on how to get this to work.

3 create a permission system in PHP so that this flash applet cannot be iframed (or integrated) except by approved websites. Referrer checking will probably work fine, I have already tested it, but I am open to suggestions about the best way to do this. If referrer’s domain is not on an ‘approved domain list’ display a message and a contact-us form from an external/existing website.

4 As video play is initiated, add a video play request event should be added to the database with date/time, approved domain, video identifier.

5 Using the flowplayer content plugin, I wish to use cuepoints to display a small translucent html message overlay with text and a link, over the video for a few seconds shortly after the video begins and again at a midpoint in the video. The text message and link should be unique to each site on the ‘approved domain list’. So if google.com is approved, and this applet is iframed at google.com then this momentary caption for all videos will say “thanks for visiting google.com + link” or whatever html is in the database associated with that approved domain.

6 The video overlay div background color should be passed from the approved domain list. It is currently gray in the demo. Also the Flowplayer (commercial version) logo overlay png should be passed from the approved domain list.

7 Videos must auto close at completion and return to menu system. This is working currently and must be preserved. All functions must be validated in all popular browsers.

I am able to maintain/enhance PHP code, but I am not so good with Javascript. I know that some original JS will be required for integration, but for most program logic I prefer that it be done in PHP. At some point I will wish to manage/update the database from within Joomla, so if possible keep that in mind during the design.

Project involves updating Flowplayer free 3.1.5 to Flowplayer commercial 3.27. My current version of Flowplayer free 3.1.5 is integrated with a webinar replay script, so you will need to upgrade Flowplayer while making sure my webinar replay script still works. The Flowplayer branding/logo also needs to be removed from my video player. Normally this would be done by supplying a product key between SCRIPT tags on your HTML page. However, I’ve tried this and it doesn’t work since Flowplayer is added into my page using a custom DIV tag by the webinar replay script.

Our video script is causing an issue on MI 7. It will jsut not play the video. We are using FlowPlayer.

Looking for an experienced developer who can create a working plugin that will allow openx to communicate with flowplayer.

I am using flowplayer on my website and its using the ipad/iphone plugin to serve up a MP4s. I would like someone to fix flowplayer configuration to play the same mp4 to either someone using flash on a computer or a ipad/iphone.

We currently have a custom-made Flash player. The people integrating our CMS require that we use Flowplayer 3.1 or JW Player.

We need our flash player to be duplicated in either Flowplayer 3.1 or JW Player. We would like for it to look and behave similar to our current Flash player.

Our current Flash player is designed to show an initial jpeg image with the center play button overlayed in the middle of the player. The user can click on any part of the image to start the player. Once clicked, the Flash video begins to load, with a circular loading indicator in the center of the player. The user can click on any part of the player to pause the video. If the user mouseovers any part of the player, the bottom control bar will reappear. If the user moves the mouse off of the player, the bottom control bar hides.

We have found the Flowplayer.org website to be well documented with information on customizing the appearance and functionality of Flowplayer. On the Flowplayer.org forum we have found a configuration for an autohide capability, located at the following URL:

As mentioned in the above URL, I’m trying to securely stream videos over RTMP and also detect the visitor’s bandwidth to serve an alternative video depending on their connection speed.

The Flowplayer BWCheck plugin currently uses a simple routine to determine which video to display by looking for the configured bitrate options into the video filenames.

For example if you look at the code posted at the reference URL above it would be:

The problem I’ve run into is, because we want to use secure streaming, we have to append a security hash to the end of the video filename.

For example …

and because of this, BWCheck is unable to dynamically determine the URL of the correct file to play for the visitor.

So I need a modified version of BWCheck that will allow us to specify alternative video files in a way that is secure, that can’t be accessed by visitors (XML config with .htaccess protection?) and that is easy for non-technical assistants to be able to do for multiple videos on our site.
