Using Microsoft Word, provide your test plan for testing the elevator simulation. Execute your test plan and include your test results in your Test Plan document.

Run the Simulation and Collect the Data

Run your elevator simulation multiple times, varying the number-of-elevators parameter from 1 through 8, collecting the data from each run.
Make several runs for each value of the number-of-elevators parameter used.
Combine the datasets for each value used for the number-of-elevators parameter into a single data set.
The data sets should be created as csv (comma delimited) files with one set of data on each line (i.e., separate each set by a carriage-return/line-feed).
You should have one fairly large data set for each value of the number-of-elevators (8 data sets in all) used.

The number of floors in the building will be fixed at five.
The number of passengers that an elevator can hold will be fixed at eight. All elevators will be of the same size.
Passengers will arrive at the elevators in a random fashion, within the parameters set below, and press the call button indicating their preference to travel up or down.
It takes the elevator 0:15 seconds to travel from one floor to the next.
The simulation will note the time it takes for an elevator to arrive and service the passenger.
It takes 0:03 seconds for a passenger to board the elevator and 0:03 seconds for a passenger to leave the elevator.
When a passenger boards the elevator, that passenger will press the button for his destination floor.
The elevator will begin its trip when either the maximum passenger count for the elevator is reached or no passenger has boarded within 10 seconds.
The elevator will remain at the floor it was on when delivering the last of its passengers for a period of 10 seconds before moving to its next call or returning to the ground floor.
The passenger’s destination floor will be determined using a “random” interval.
There are 100 persons working on each of floors 2-5. No one works on the ground floor (floor 1). All businesses in the building open for business at 8:00 AM and close at 5:00 PM. Workers begin randomly arriving for work at 7:30 AM. Everyone leaves the building randomly by 5:30 PM.
Customers arrive at the building and visit floors throughout the day at a rate of approximately one every five minutes. Customers randomly spend between 15 and 45 minutes conducting their business then exit the building.
All workers have lunch between 12:00 and 1:00. At 12:00, 50% of workers go to the first floor between 12:00 and 12:15 to go out for lunch. The workers return randomly between 12:45 and 1:00.
It is expected that passengers will be served within 1 minute of pressing the elevator call button.
The simulation will model a day of usage.
The simulation should collect the following data. The time each passenger pressed the call button. The time each passenger boarded the elevator. The destination floor of each passenger.
The following information should be reported daily and in total. The total number of passengers delivered. The total number of passengers delivered by each elevator. The number of passengers delivered to each floor by each elevator. The minimum and maximum time passengers waited. The percentage of passengers served within one minute.
Run the simulation with various numbers of elevators to determine how many elevators will be necessary to service 95% of the passengers within one minute of pressing the call button.

This application allows people to add and move furniture, altering its direction, dimensions and colors; use a ruler to measure rooms; add carpets, lamps, plants, etc.; and choose options, when they’re available on particular floor plans. The application would also provide a text tool; and the ability to print the results of the customize floor plan. It would have zoom in/zoom out. In essence, all of the features that you find in the url above.

We would use this for some unknown number of floor plans, but probably from 9 – 12 floor plans initially.

Other aspects of the website environment will be developed using php and mysql. The application should run in virtually any browser or on any platform, since it is Flash.

I need a sketch program created that will allow me to draw floor plans and calculate the areas. I currently use a very old 16bit app and I would like to have the new one work just like it does.

I an creating a shopping portal but we are struggling to find the right images to use for the main page.
We have decided to use the services of a graphics designer to build the basic images needed to fit together to create the needed environment. Resizable images are needed for
1) a shopfront which can be duplicated next to each other to make them look like various shop fronts in a modern USA style mall. The shop front will have a sign section at the top of the image that our devellopers can enter in the name of the shop, and also a mainly see through shop window that the developers can put different images “behind” representing the different categories of products.
2) handrail components (horizontal and vertical supports) which can be added on top of other images to create “a second floor” for the mall
3) an escalator picture which will be shown on the left side of the screen for the bottom floor
4) if it could be done in such a way that we could also show a floor and ceiling of the mall, this would be good, but not necessary provided we can achieve the overall desired end result.

The graphics artistdesigner will be expected to work in with the development company to provide a workable sollution.

I am not sure if all of you guys understood exactly what it needs to be done here but here is scenario:
Program is like regular photo editing software on desktop just web based.
I need ability that customers upload their own picture of lets say kitchen and cut around floor so they can integrate our floors into their room.

At the floor description page (product page ) should be added picture with link to design room script. Also at same page it should be default room setup so for every product it would automaticly save “room view” from that product on product page. When user clicks on the link, new page with default room is opened. When Design Room is opened at the right side of the window, there is a list of floors which are automatically loaded from the shopping cart script and list of predefined pictures of the rooms. When user clicks on floor picture, the type of the floor is changed on the loaded picture of the room. When user clicks on the picture of predefined rooms, look of the room is changed, but the type of the floor stays the same (we have choosen before). Beside the floors, users can change the paint of the walls, ceilings and baseboard. Paints are choosen from predefined list of colors of “Benjamin Moore” company. As additional feature, users can upload picture of their own room and change floor, paint of the walls, ceilings, baseborads. This option is available only for registered users. If user wants to upload picture, first he needs to be registered at EV Floors shopping cart and logged in. When user uploads picture, with tools from “Design room” script he can select areas and make necessary changes (floor type, wall paint…). Also user that uploads picture they should have options to print room design, send picture (their room) for public use in our shopping cart. this is for a call of duty 4 (soon to be modern warfare 2) clan, so it will need to be war themed; soldiers, jets, tanks, etc. because they are so small, they will not need HUGE detail (this is as detailed as im expecting really; http://demo.rockettheme.com/phpbb3/index.php?style=27&ntheme=style2 but if you can do more and still have it looking nice, then go for it).

the 4 images will consist of 2 “floating” objects (could be smoke in the air for example), and 2 seperate layers of “floor” (so for example, in the link above, the 2 ‘floors’ are: the one green hill in the front, and the 2 green brown at the back (the 2 brown hills are one image)). you must make sure that when layered right, the 4 images look good and work well together. for example, the perspectives must be correct – you can not make a side view picture of a soldier on one layer, then a birds eye view of a helicopter in the other! the front most layer (the white part) is not required but if you need to do it to work with your design, so be it!

some suggestions are:

2 floating objects: smoke etc.
the 2 floor layers: soldiers in the front, helicopter etc in the back

this may not look very good, because there is nothing out front. so you could make the soldier layer entirely white and put that on the front instead of making 2 floor layers.

but please do give me your suggestions.

What am I paying:

Description:

1) This is a small PLANNER app coded in ActionScript 2.0.
2) It is used to design what we have in mind about the furniture inside our house.
3) So, when you enter the dimensions of the floor and click START, you will see a floor area with the same dimensions you enter
4) Along with the floor area, you will see lost of furniture products beside the floor area.
5) User will be able to drag and drop those furniture products on to the floor area
6) Once the user has chosen the products, he/she will click on PRODUCT SELECTION on the top right and will see the list of products he/she has chosen.
7) The DOWNLOAD PDF button on this screen at the bottom left corner allows them to download this product list in PDF format

What is wrong?

1) The basic floor area is coded to resize itself accordning to the user input. If you observe closely, when you click START, three additional options appear below the floor area which are TILES, WOODEN PLANKS, and UNI
2) TILES meaning squares inside the floor area giving a user the tile effect; WOODEN PLANKS meaning equidistant horizontal lines inside the floor area giving the planks effect; and UNI meaning empty floor area
3) Now, the alignment of this inside drawing is not appropriate. Please try entering different dimensions inside the input boxes and you will see the difference
4) Also the objects that appear beside the floor will be dragable upon mouse click and droppable upon mouse release and the target area is the floor area. Once released the objects will have transform handles (rotation and scale). I have the complete code for all this but it has errors

What I need?

1) I need an action script 2.0 expert
2) Since I have the complete code, all the expert needs to do is a code walkthrough and detect errors and fix them
3) The code I have has the components and classes for rotation handles but does not have them for resize (scale) handles so I need this expert to quickly create them and merge them with the existing and fixed code.

Once this is done, there is more work to follow as the download method needs to be set up. So the coder that does this for me at the price I can afford, I might have future work

Once they opt in, the second page would have the same header & Logo along with another video, a series of text, pics, and bullet points and a add to cart option.

We require a modern version of a floor area and U value calculator. It should work in a similar fashion to this one – http://www.styrofloor.co.uk/support.htm

A user will enter their size of room, ie length and width. The size of the insulation boards, the calulator will provide them with the amount of insulation boards they require with a 10% wastage. Plus the thickness of the insulation board to choose if they enter a U-Value and provide external wall length.

The user can enter the amount of boards in a pack and the price per pack.

All product information and sizes can be provided.

The calculator will; need to fit in a specific size area, which will be advised.

Becuase of the small area to work with, it may be necessary for the browser to enter the data into a scrolling page or multiple loading flash pages etc.

The user should leave the calulator with a cost for insulating the room, the total area and the correct UValue.
