Betfair Script For Soccer Fixtures

April 19th, 2011 Comments off

I need a command line script written to do to the following:
1) print out all the soccer fixtures today that meet my criteria i.e match odds < 1.9 etc.
2) allows me to pick the soccer games I want to play
3) will place bets on the games I pick and monitor if the game was won or lost by looking at whether the balance has increased or not.

I am not concerned about programming language but I was thinking PHP command line script as I would like to modify the criteria myself.

There are already examples of betfair programs in the betfair developer website. There is already some php script that can be used as a reference.

Prefer someone with betfair API experience.

Joomleague Plugin Alteration 3

December 28th, 2009 Comments off

I am running the JoomLeague plugin (v 0.93) on a site running Joomla (v 1.5.8). I need some changes made to the JoomLeague plugin so that it does what I need. These changes specifically are:

Permissions…. the JoomLeague software allows you to name one Administrator and one Editor per project. The Administrator enters through the Joomla backend then navigates through to the JoomLeague plug in where he can do whatever he wants. This can stay as it is because I don’t want to appoint Administrators anyway that have access to all the site features.

Editors enter through the front end. When they are logged in to the site they have an icon they can click on which lets them input results from fixtures that are already entered. The problem is that that is all they can do… enter results. They cannot edit or add new fixtures.

So what needs changing….
1. we need to be able to appoint multiple editors to each project, not just the one.
2. those editors need to be able to add and amend fixtures (in case of postponements) and not just enter results. They need to be able to do this through the front end link that already exists when they are logged in without going through the Joomla backend.

Second issue is MatchDays….. the JoomLeague software has a European style MatchDay system for fixtures where every team plays each other on MatchDay 1… then same on MatchDay 2 etc etc through the season. This will not work for us as some teams may play 3 times in a week and others not at all.

The solution would be to change this to Week 1, Week 2 etc but it isn’t as simple as just changing the wording as the JoomLeague software will only allow you to enter a team once for each matchday.

So what needs changing….
MatchDays changed to weeks with the dates Sat – Sun and the ability for teams to play more than one fixture in any given week.

Although this is a one time project I would be looking for further paid support through the year as more features are added to the site.

Thanks

Php/mysql Functioning Website

I require a website for my local sports club with a few basic HTML pages. (I can do all the graphics so I just require the structure and database front end)

The website will contain the following Database
- soccerclub
The following tables will be used in this database
- newsitems (with the following fields “title”, “fulltext”, “picture”, “date(autodate that this item is created on)” )
- history (with 2 fields “text” and “picture”)
- fixtures (with the following fields “team”, “opposition”, “venue”, “date”, “competition”)
- Results (There should be a results table with the following fields “team”, “opposition”, “Venue”, “teamscore”, “oppscore”, “date”, “Competition” and “report”)
- gallery (with teh following fields, “title”, “date”. and “image”)
- Admins (This should be for users to modify the website. A field for username and password)

The website will contain the following a secure login page that is accessible to admins (in the “admins” table) Once they login there are links to pages that can do the following
- An Admin Index page – Where they see all the options such as
Add / Edit / Remove any entry from the newsitems table
Edit the history text or remove/add picture from the history table
Add/Edit/remove any entry from the fixtures table
Add/Edit/remove any entry from the results table
Add/Edit/Remove any admin from the “Admins” table

The website will contain the following pages that are accessible to all:
Index (home) – a basic html page (which also displays links to the lastest 5 news items from a MySql database. The table should be titled “newsitems”)
History – That displays text from a simple 1 table (history)
Grounds – Static page – not database (I can complete this)
News – a list of all the news items (from the table newsitems) titles and preview of the text (when a user clicks on the title the news displays- picture, full text etc)
Fixtures – A basic html page that displays the upcoming fixtures (table fixtures)
Results – A Basic html page that displays the results (table results) When a user clicks on a result all the tables from that entry are displays (match report, goalscorers)
Gallery – A page that displays all the images from the “gallery” table
Shop – That uses a simple table “shop_items”. This will not be an e-commerce site so this table will just show a picture, text and price of items
Committe – Static page – not database (I can complete this)
Contact – Static page – not database (I can complete this)

Please inform me if you have any further queries on this. And a note to anyone bidding for this – I only want people who can guarantee they will do a good professional job. I work with web design although I am not so great with MySQL and PHP so please just concentrate on the database and website functionality with the db. I can do the graphics and design of the site myself.

Researcher Needed For Leds…

April 28th, 2009 Comments off

I am looking for someone to find certain manufacturing companies in Mexico, China or India.

Specifically, I need someone to find at least 12 companies in Mexico that specialize in making metal light fixtures (chandeliers, lamps, sconces, pendant lights etc) for the US market.

I also need a list of companies that can produce bright LED lights (battery operated). I can provide details later.

Price and quality are the biggest factors. Mexico is probably the best option for the light fixtures since shipping costs will be very low. And China might be the best option for the battery powered LED lights.

I own a small lighting company and I am looking for a very good manufacturer in Mexico (preferably), China or India to manufacture these light fixtures and LEDs for a good price. I will provide the designs and specifications.

The person for this job must have very good researching skills. You must be able to contact the company, assess their capabilities, look at their prices and provide comparisons for me. Battery powered LED lights and metal light fixtures only. I plan on buying a large quantity of both.
