Image Resizing / Application

April 15th, 2011 Comments off

We need some sort of program / software / App setup so we can resize images.

All the final resized images need to be 1000 pixels x 1000 pixels 72 dpi, on a white background, so if the image is 1600 x 900 the required solution should automatically resize the picture and place the image on a white 1000 x 1000 background, centre the image and save it as a jpg with the same name.

It would work out if an image is landscape or portrait – and from this it should then work-out if it should match the height or width, to fit in the correct final size.

The solution should be easy to work and we should just be able to point the application to a folder and it should keep the same folder structure (there could be named sub folders within it too) and we would either want it to overwrite the existing image file or when saving – do so to a new named output place – but all folder structures must remain in correct place within the folder selected to run the process on.

Some of the original files may not be jpgs they may be gifs or pngs, so the solution should be able to open and re-size these formats and save final image as a jpg format.

We have enclosed two sample images of how a finished image should look – there is a sample for both landscape & portrait sizes.

Account Creation And Payment System

April 6th, 2011 Comments off

We are needing a new programmer to help us complete the final stages of an existing project. We have a client who is selling an online product and we need to create the account registration and payment system. Please check out www.ourweddingcolors.net and then click on Build Your Party Now. This client is selling a service that allows a person to see what types of flowers go with different wedding dresses combined with bridesmaids, groom and groomsmen. The visitor can build their wedding party online and see how the bouquets look with different options. But they cannot see the final image until they sign up and pay. You need to check out the site to see the system work. Right now visitors can use the system for free and final image is being displayed. We just finished the picture generating program and now we need to create the backend that allows a visitor to sign up and pay to see the final image displayed. The customer will create a profile that allows them to save images that they have created and view and print now or later. We are working on the project outline now and will post it later. In the meantime check out the site and start thinking about how you will do this and how much you will charge us. We are wanting this done ASAP. Thanks!

Flash Educational Games

February 25th, 2010 Comments off

Dear Sir/Madam,

Regarding a quotation for educational games development, here are a few key points, any other questions please let me know.

Prototype of game:

http://www.20-20.uk.com/game-protoype/

I noticed the above link protoype does not display well in Firefox, but it seems OK in Internet Explorer when you view full-screen.

The above game is just a prototype to demonstrate the concept.
It essentially represents a traditional board game where you roll a dice, move along squares, etc.
It is presented in a way which is readable on a school’s electronic whiteboard in a classroom (i.e. a teacher leading a class will be the “game master” clicking on the buttons or touching the screen. The class pupils will be divided in to teams).
The game shows 3 teams (on the left). Please assume that there will be 6 teams (i.e. 2 columns) in the final implemented version.
The prototype is rather inelegant (it was cobbled together in HTML with frames, with some Flash components, users may see scroll bars which is not ideal), – but the final version will need to be in an ideal format which is suitable for all screen sizes and browsers and will be wrapped up in a tidy Flash file, like a typical online Flash game.
Ideally the game will be able to be viewed either full-screen or not full-screen (i.e. like elastic, streches/adapts to fit any size of browser window/screen).
In this protoype, we are aware that the dice is too small – and the buttons for moving forward/back through the squares a bit too small. This is all we were able to do for the prototype – the actual implemented version will address these issues.
We will provide graphic mockups of the design for the final visual layout/look, but assume it will be like the above prototype in principle.
The above prototype has 30 squares – the final game will have up to 40 squares.
The final voice/narration (spoken by an actor will be provided as audio files, e.g. MP3 or WAV).

Could you please provide a quote and timescale for implementing this game.

Could you also provide a ballpark quote and timescales for undertaking the following:

1. The above game, along with…..

2. Five other games which will be different but equivalent to the above (i.e. they will be no more complex).

Obviously, I appreciate you would need to see specs/functionality of these other games to see what was involved, but for now assume that there will be nothing very complex (certainly no more complex than the above described game). The other games are expected to involve dragging and dropping cardson the screen – or turning over cards – or the user trying to place cards in the correct order (and checking whether they got it right or wrong). The rules will be kept simple – no great level of intelligence behind any of the games.

If you could get me the figures for these asap I would be very grateful.

Best wishes,

Final Tweaks On Magento Templa

February 19th, 2010 Comments off

We have built a custom template for a customer but are having a little trouble tweaking the final details from their design. We have run out of time and need some help wrapping this one up. The live site is at www.thedamarcuscollection.com

Please view the PDF from the designer. We need the design and the left navigation to match.

The Collection Page Revisions

They want to cut down the categories in the left hand column into just the following:

- All
- Earrings
- Necklaces and Pendants
- Rings

Remove About DaMarcus, The Diamond Studio, News and Events from the left column navigation
.
Remove “Category, Men/Women”
Remove “Price and the price listings

PLEASE pay close attention to the styling (distances, point size, colors, what’s underlined, what’s not underlined etc…) They really want to get those dividing rule lines (the strokes and horizontal rules in the grid view, see page one of the pdf)

The Product Detail Pages

I’ve attached a PDF file of the revisions to the individual product pages as well. Basically same deal as the collections page, they want it exactly like the layout. Fortunately, the revisions aren’t drastic.

- Add the rule lines to give the page structure.
- Delete the copy “Quick Overview” And move the product description up underneath the availability.
- Make spacing of copy and elements like the attached layout.
- Change more views into Recommended Products. ( Isn’t this controllable with the backend)? Anyways, just make sure it is styled the same.

Thank you again in advance for responding to my RFP.

Create A Jpeg Of Image & Photo

January 29th, 2010 Comments off

I need a print quality JPEG image file of a graphic image and the body image within the 300ppi digital picture that is attached below. Similar to the attached 2304×3456 digital image file, this final image will need to be optimized at high resolution as a large image that can be reduced for smaller applications.

I want an image of a red and gold phoenix. I’ve attached two phoenix image examples as references for creating the new image. I want the look, texture and color transitions of the wings and tail from the red/gold phoenix to be created in the overall shape of the tattoo phoenix (minus the four feathers/points above its main wings) with its mouth open issuing a cry, with drops of flame coming from its tail falling into a thin pile of glowing embers. These embers will lie on the lower edge of your final image.

Centered behind the phoenix, I want a wall of tarnished gray/green prison bars. A portion of the top of the wall will be hidden behind the phoenix wings, and the bottom will be visible below the tail to symbolize rising above imprisonment.

I want my head/torso isolated from the digital picture and inserted just below the right wing of the phoenix and in the foreground of a portion of the lower right corner of the bars. I’ve attached a rough mock up sketch on a Word document to give you a better idea of how to size me relative to your image to give you a better idea of how I want the finished product to look.

Cookbook Graphic Design

January 13th, 2010 Comments off

I am looking for a professional typesetter/graphic designer to design a beautiful, artistic and mouth-watering cover of a 136-page cookbook and continue the mood by designing the font and layout of the entire book.

It is also important to create a design and layout that appeals to the target customer, and one that will actually sell. So marketing expertise is also required.

I will provide you with the manuscript in Word. You must use photos and illustrations only from istock.com, where I already have an account.

You will deliver:
1. Your recommendation from a marketing perspective on any changes to the book’s title, sub-title, or overall organization of the book;

2. At least 2 mock-up designs each: front cover, back cover, full-color section intro page, and black and white recipe page.

3. Once we agree on final designs and layout, you will deliver the final formatted document according to printer specifications.

See attached containing some sample pages from the Word doc.

I will retain copyright of final design work.

Need 6pg Web Site Design/bui 2

January 7th, 2010 Comments off

THis is a re-post of a previous project request for a 10-page site. Refined now to 6 pages, mock-ups of 3 of the pages are attached.

Need design and build of the site, admin tool and site seo. Please include the following in your quote for this project:

DETAILS:
1) Copy is not final, client is currently writing and will send final copy separately.
2) Images are not final, currently only place-holders. They are similar in dimensions to the final images but there may be some small variation.
3) I will need a second variation on the header with top rounded corners.
4) Admin tool to update events/classes page and to swap the quotes/testimonials on the left-side nav bar.
5) Please include basic SEO in your quote, embedded keywords etc. Fee-based options are not needed (google adwords etc.)
6) The mock-up is NOT meant to be a final design so it will need to be cleaned up as part of this project. I have re-worked it and refined it with the client but I have limited graphic manipulation ability so it’s not final. mock-up was done in MS Publisher.
7) Additional elements not in the mock-ups: Will need to add a link to sign up for e-newsletter and post most recent version on a separate page that’s not part of the main site nav; a link to pay for services through PayPal; and an additional tab linking to external blog (may not be included in final site).

Please let me know if you have any questions. Would like the selected bid to begin immediately as client finalizes copy and images. Thank you — James Wirth

Website Redesign Required

January 2nd, 2010 Comments off

Hello,

Last year I used scriptlance to pick what I believed to be a very good website developer.
He designed the site, the business card, logo and a multimedia audio/video move-like trailer, amember payment page integration and eFront LMS front-end graphics integration.
The gentleman has very good graphical abilities but was plagued with other offline issues.
He designed the site to be used in Joomla. Shorlty after I gave him access for him to upload the final version, the site was immediately compromised and therefore I have had no use of my site.
I wasn’t given all the final source files and have tried tirelessly to communicate with the developer and have him complete the project despite paying for 6 months included support.

I have some of the final source available. The original files on the web server are still online but not displaying properly.

I would like someone to finish this project and securely bring the site online. Redesign the site if necessary if they can do something better.
Of course since I’ve plunked down money already I have only a small budget.
The person needs to have good graphical ability pictures and mini movie-like multimedia trailer.
If you are interested I can make what I have available to you.

Thanks

Need 6pg Web Site Design/build

November 22nd, 2009 Comments off
