Twilight Ultimate Fan Website
We require a website design, with layout and programming for a fan website. Although the website will not be in flash, it should be just as neat looking in its html version. Designer should read articles on the character Jacob Black on Wikipedia and do independent research on Google to gain a better understanding of who the character is in order to properly design the color scheme and buttons. Also lookup various fan websites on Google to gain a better understanding of what types of features and functionality they have and give suggestions so that this website can meet or exceed those .I will also require frequent updates to show me how the website is progressing and I would like to see the functionality of the website multiple times before it is completed.
Only the admin will have access to the admin panel, moderators will have to make all updates through the website only so make sure that all the functions listed here for moderators are able to be done through the site.
Admin panel should be extremely user friendly and updatable and all blog and picture content should be updated only via the website for moderators, and on admin panel for the admin only. It should include the following features:
o Ability to create and add polls to the website on any location and page
o From admin panel, we should be able to add and edit blank template pages and the option to add a link to the buttons
o The layout should be updatable, I should be able to constantly be manipulating the websites color scheme and images, etc.
o A photo gallery client
o Ability to add unlimited pages with content, and unlimited links
o Unlimited blog updates from admin panel with full text and image customizability box
o Users should have the ability to comment on all blog entries, and admin should have ability to moderate and delete comments if necessary.
o VBulletin forum
o Admin and moderators control registered users published content, including comments, replies and forum topics.
o Customizable countdowns on any page
o Customizable feature which shows how many users are currently online/ logged in/visiting (find a widget to avoid doing unnecessary programming)
o Widget showing how many people have visited the site
Users:
- Should fill out an easy registration form which will allow them to comment on posts, use the forum, and comment on pictures in the picture gallery.
- Some users can be updated to moderator status for different parts of the website with Admins approval.
- The user information should be saved for admin to review.
- Admin can temporarily ban any user or moderator, or delete account for any user or moderator. Moderators can temporarily ban any user, or report any user to admin to be permanently banned.
- Select moderators can upload content such as videos and pictures to the picture gallery and post updated blog entries and create polls.
There should be a simple password recovery system, with a feature in user registration which allows for security questions which can be used to rest a password.
There should also be a database that collects all users email addresses which allows for mass sending of e-newsletters to all registered users with updates about the site. There should also be an unsubscribe link for any registered users who do not wish to receive any further emails, and an option to reinstate emails after one has unsubscribed.
Designer programmer requirements:
- If you are not quick to respond to emails, or do not have good English please do not bid on this job. I need someone that I can very, very easily communicate with and someone who will also assist in giving suggestions for the site, and this can only be done when the person has strong familiarity with the language. This website is to look extremely professional, meaning no spelling or spacing mistakes.
- If you are going to charge extra if I ask you to change the colors, fonts, links or other minor changes, meaning you are digging for extra money from minor changes, please do not bid on this job. I need someone who is flexible and willing to work with me, and understands that sometimes changes do need to be made in the production stage and is willing to work with that. I am willing to pay for major additions if I ask for them, but do not expect to keep adding on to the tab for minor adjustments, we will not tolerate this.
- Professional look for the site is a MUST.
- I want the site to go live within a month from the starting date, I need someone whose work is neat and fast.
- If you do not have any portfolios or examples of your work, please do not bid on this project, I need to see examples of your previous work.
- If the work takes a few days more than estimated, that is ok, but if you are nearing a week over time, we will have a problem.
- Someone who has good foresight and is able to alert me of any programming conflicts or any problems that might occur ahead of time and suggest ways to resolve any conflicts in the project.
- I am looking for a programmer with the lowest price, fastest time, and best reviews and previous work/portfolios. Someone who can demonstrate knowledge of the sites content and will work with me to help make this the premier fan site for the character Jacob Black.
