Video Added To Photo Slideshow

August 27th, 2009 Comments off

I have a client who has an existing Flash slideshow at http://www.texascte.org/tcec09/. We are creating another site that is very similar and want to add a little box (see attached rough mockup #1) on top of the photo slideshow that would always float there through the whole slideshow. The box would be clickable, and when the end user clicks on the box, a video would pop up (see attached mockup #2). It would either be one posted on Vimeo or hosted as an .flv file (we would provide FLV) on the same server as the rest of the site (no decision on where to host the video yet).

The end user could then watch the video, or click a button to close it (see the blue bar that you would need to make to the left of the video) and return to the rest of the slideshow. The slideshow would continue to progress.

It would be ideal if the solution allowed for easy editing on an ongoing basis and not having to edit the .fla any time we wanted to change out the video. Ideally there would be an .xml file or text within the homepage code we would edit to change out the video link. Currently we edit the home page code to edit the list of photos in slideshow rotation. We would continue to want to do that.

The solution should not require the end user to have the latest version of Flash to work — hopefully it will require only two versions back.

If you bid, please include any examples you may have of similar or similiarly complex flash work.

X Cart Pro Mod

July 28th, 2009 Comments off

The below is what needs to happen boys and girls. Let me know the cost. This will be a mod for X Cart 4.x.x Pro Gold.

End user visits store and does a search for a part. Results are shown from several suppliers (with or without prices shown).

End user can put check mark next to each supplier he/she wants. End user can then click a “Request Quote” button at the bottom. An email is sent to each supplier that is checked off requesting a quote for that part.

Or if you have a script already written that will do the above along with the normal user account and auto email and newsltter functions i would certainly entertain the look.

I WILL ACCEPT NO JUNK !!!

THIS MUST BE COMPLETED BY 7-31-09 !!!

Client just found a site that operates exactly like he wants. It is here

Back End User Area

May 24th, 2009 Comments off

I require a back-end user area created for a wordpress based site.

The basis of the website is that people can send in some photos and we then create virtual tour flash files from these photos.

The back end area will have the sole role of managing users projects, uploading photos and selecting any extras they need (simply tick boxes so we know what they want). We need to then be able to retrieve the photos for each project they post and then have a way of making the finished file (.swf file) available for them to download. A payment method would also be good for when the project is complete. A paypal integration is best.

A good knowledge of english is essential, as is previous examples of this sort of thing.

Just get in touch for any more info, and I look forward to working with one of you!

New Corporate Website/database

May 9th, 2009 Comments off

Our company is currently seeking an individual or development company to customize a website to our specifications. The site will include a login page, master admin area, unique user(dealer) area, database access and sharing, autoresponder, account management, shopping cart, ability to complete an online form that merges form data into a printable .pdf document or saved to a database, admin user must be able to pass data into a database that is specific to each user(dealer), the site must be easy to add different language packs. Sounds complicated, but let me elaborate some more.

The “admin” user will be the company administrator with privileges to see and edit all users(dealers) and all databases. I will call each end-user a “dealer”. Each dealer will have a unique Dealer # and password. A login page will take them to their unique backend management page. On this page, they will have many options. Here they are:

1. Add a new customer
– This section will allow the dealer to add a customer to their own personal database list, including name, address, phone, email, billing information, etc. This is where the customer’s one-time or monthly charge will be managed. Syncing with a merchant like Authorize.net would be needed here.

2. Order product/View inventory
– This section will have a few sub-sections. The first will allow the dealer to view their personal inventory. This number will be controlled by either the number of products they purchased from our company or our company admin will be able to change this number. The next sub-section will allow the dealer to place new orders from our company to fill their inventory. This would be like a traditional shopping cart section. This would also contain an account management section where they can store their personal account information to be saved or changed in the future for additional product ordering.

3. View Customer Database
– This section will display a database of the unique dealer’s customers which were added in Section #1 above. This will display each customer name, address, billing information, etc. Because each dealer will be paid a one-time fee per sale and a recurring monthly payout, the dealer must be able to see how much their payout will be and to view the history of payouts per each customer. The payout amounts can probably be hardcoded in the database depending on the sale price and monthly recurring fee the end-user will be paying; and transferred to a “view billing reports” sub-section. Each payout will likely be through PayPal bulk pay.

4. New activations/Request cancellation
– This section must include a list of “Product Activations” that are ready, meaning the admin of our company would have activated the product and supplied a username and temporary password to the dealer. This information must be able to be inserted into the dealer’s unique product activations database by the admin. The product will not be sold or shipped to the dealer “activated”. As soon as it has been sold by the dealer to an end-user (and the admin is automatically notified by email), the admin can activate the product (this process is already setup), and the dealer will see that the product is now ready for use and can forward the username and password to the end-user by email.

5. This section will be an area where the dealer can simply type in prospect email addresses and an autoresponder series created by our company admin will be sent. The dealer will also be able to order marketing supplies in this area (shopping cart). We will also be able to provide marketing tips/files for dealer use in this area.

6. This section will include online forms (fields will be provided) that the dealer can fill out, merge fields into .pdf document, and print out or email to an address. There will be two types of online forms (in the form of a lease or credit application). The dealer should also be able to view pending credit/lease applications and which ones have been approved or declined. I am not sure if this information would be inserted by our company admin or what.

If all goes well with development, we will likely require a Dealer Sign-up page, where we collect dealer information and assign each a dealer a unique Dealer # and password. (more information available)

I am not aware of any proprietary software or combination of Joomla or Magento modules that can accomplish all that I describe above. We are open to all thoughts and suggestions regarding how to develop our corporate dealer page. Thanks for bidding!

E-learning/testing Script

May 3rd, 2009 Comments off

We require a script for for testing and certificate generation. Development in PHP/MySQL required. We will provide the server/hosting.

In addition to developing the script, you will also be required to integrate the script into a website frontend that we will provide.

Here is how we would like it to work:

End user (test-taker) will log on to the site using a pre-supplied access code (obtained with prior purchase of book) and begin taking the test.

After the end user (test-taker) logs on with their pre-supplied access code, they will complete a brief form with the following fields: First Name, Last Name, City, State, Country, and email address – email address. Email address will not appear on certifcate but will be used for communication with the end user (test-taker). The results of this form will be used on the certificate that will be offered to the end user (test-taker) after he successfully completes the test. The certificate will need to be generated as a PDF, available immediately for both printing and/or download.

After the end user (test-taker) completes the form, they will be redirected to the test page.

The test will be in 4 parts, and the end user (test-taker) will have 72 hours (3 days) to complete all 4 parts after this initial sign in. End user (test-taker) can save and come back only after the completion of an entire part. End user (test-taker) must pass 80% of each part in order to complete the course.

This is a pass/fail driven test:

If end user (test-taker) passes all 4 parts of the test with at least 80% correct in each part they will redirected to another form to complete a brief survey. This survey form results will be emailed to the end user (test-taker) after they have used up all of their pre-suplied access codes. After completing the survey, the end user (test-taker) will be shown their certificate page where he can download and/or print his certificate.

If end user (test-taker) fails the test he will receive an emailed report on his progress and he will then have 7 days (1 week) to retake the test.

If end user (test-taker) fails a sceond time, their access code becomes invalid.

A report will be sent to the end user (test-taker) with report of failure and a copy of the 2 test reports.

You must open a pmb and relate your complete understanding (or questions) of this project to be considered for it. pmb’s that give a laundry list of project experience without offering an understanding of our particular project will be ignored.

Form And Flash Application

April 28th, 2009 Comments off

“Online Quilt” Form and Flash Application (See uploaded PDF for this same text below, which also includes images.)

Timeframe: project will not start until May 5, project will need to be fully complete by May 18th

Qualifications: Must provide link(s) to Flash application work samples and explain your role in its creation.

Overview (more details will be provided upon job start, or you may ask questions now if you think something needs clarification for bidding purposes):

Part 1 – Form:
Need to create an online form and FTP upload capability where end users can:
- Upload an image from 500kb to 4 MB max size. (form will produce an error message for files larger than 4MB and will not allow upload)
- Enter approximately 5 to 10 fields of information (with captcha and form validation), including an optional link.
- Then have a second page of the form where they confirm their information and then pay with paypal button (button code will be provided).
Form will then add entered data (not including what information goes to paypal) to an excel file in a password-protected folder (including name of the JPEG file uploaded).
Form will generate an email to admin notifying of upload (with a link to the JPEG file for downloading purposes) and will include form data in the email as well as a link to the data excel file for reference. Form will generate a thank you email to end user.

<<<NOT PART OF FORM>>> Admin will size down and crop above uploaded images in a program like Photoshop (outside this system) for use with application below.

Part 2 – Flash Application:
Need to create a Flash application that will allow an admin with FTP access to upload pre-sized and cropped, square jpegs to a folder. Any JPEG files in this folder will end up being a part of an online quilt page for display on an HTML home page (the rest of the site will be built in HTML

Multi-page Data Capture

April 14th, 2009 Comments off

Our client requires a system that will present an end-user with a multi-page form as follows:

1. End-user enter details such as Name, Date of Birth, Sex, Marital Status, Retirement Date and Fund Amount.

2. End-user enter details of Financial Advisor (Name, Company, E-mail Address) along with amounts (GBP

Online Property Illustration

April 14th, 2009 Comments off

Our client has an Excel spreadsheet (attached) containing several formulae that they use to create PDF-based Property Illustrations.

The brief is to create an online version of this system that end-users can complete themselves to generate a PDF illustration.

The system will work in a similar way to online insurance quote systems, with each page asking for specific information and saving it to a database. The final screen will be a summary of input data and an option to e-mail and/or print the illustration.

The proposed dataflow is as follows (to be read in conjunction with Excel file). NB, bullet numbers relate to screen numbers:

1. End user enter details of IFA (Financial Advisor) – name, company, e-mail, tel, etc.

2. End-user is presented with ‘Assumptions’ (Alltrust Fees – See Excel cells K47-K63). These are pre-populated but will need to be changed by the client within a back-end system from time to time.

3. End-user is presented with ‘Cash Flow Information’ (see Excel cells A47-63). These figures will be pre-populated but the end-user will be able to change them (these figures will then form calculation formulae later on).

4. End-user enters details of Member 1 (see Excel Row 11). At the bottom of this screen the end-user will be asked if they want to add another member. If yes, they are presented with a screen to enter details of Member 2 (see Excel Row 12). This will continue looping up to a maximum of 6 members.

5. End-user enters details of property (see Excel cells A19-39).

6. At this point a summary screen will display all of the information entered and allow the end-user the opportunity of going back to amend any of the previous screens.

7. On clicking submit the system will perform all of the calculations required to generate the ‘Property Illustration Study’ (See 2nd Worksheet in Excel file; ‘Output Screen 10 Years’. Options will be to view/print the illustration as a PDF or e-mail it to the end-user as an attachment. Once the report has been generated, a copy is also e-mailed to a fixed e-mail address belonging to the system operator so that they can follow up on the illustration.

The look-and-feel of the system will be to match the client’s existing web site although this system will be a standalone micro-site and not require integration with any parent site.

I need options as to which programming language and why as well as detailed cost and time projections. As a secondary option, costs will be required for developing a system that will ‘capture data only’ over several screens and e-mail the captured data to the system operator so that they can manually populate the Excel spreadsheet and e-mail the illustration to the end-user (lower cost option).

Our client is looking for projected costs for this project asap so fast responses will be gratefully received.
