I am currently working on a music site and am looking for a flash music editor. This editor should allow the user to mix multiple wav or mp3 files. Also drag and drop capabilities. You would be developing a software application, not a web or flash application. We prefer that it is developed in Java and must use an open source image editing library such as GIMP.

All of the same functionality would need to be integrated with a clean easy to use interface and buttons. The key features to emphasize are these 4 features: expand, shrink, stretch and reconstruct.

The interface and buttons should be bright and fun with hover-over descriptors and extremely easy to use.

The application should run clean and fast.

Trial Version – We need developed the ability for trial users to download a trial of the software that allows them to demo the product for 2 days. It would be fully functional software with the exception of the time limit, plus it would force our watermark on all photos edited from the software that are saved. Once the 2 days has expired, it doesn’t allow you to edit photos any more. A nag screen should come up giving the user the option to

PROJECT: Create software that removes backgrounds from images. Software must have capablility of quickly and easily (2-3 clicks/2-3 minutes)removing backgrounds from any image while allowing for clipping paths and image masking as decribed below.

BACKGROUND REMOVING
Removing the background professionally from an image can be done in two basic ways: using clipping paths and using image masking.

CLIPPING PATHS
Clipping paths are made using the pen tool and a minimum of 400% zoom. The clipping path follows exactly the contour of the objects you wish to isolate. This way the object is cut out keeping its finest details. Allthough time consuming, this is the best way to obtain the highest quality background removing where high quality is needed.

IMAGE MASKING
Let’s say you have an image with a transparent bottle. If you cut out the bottle and place a blue background behind, you wish to have a lighter blue through the transparent background. However the transparent part will not change. In fact, jpg’s do not contain transparency information. This is where masking is needed. To place any background you desire behind transparent parts, masking channels are needed.
