I need a simple iphone application which will communicate with a web server. Details will be provided to chosen programmers.
I would like an iPhone application that looks up restaurants in a persons area. So when they are traveling they can look up what restaurants are close by. This would be able to track where the user is and look up the best places to eat close to their location.
I’ll design the front end in photoshop I just need the programming part done.
I need an app to create a springboard shortcut to a website, similar to having a favourites icon on the springboard, it needs to be programmable as to which site it loads via safari
We are looking to create a simple game to kick off our iPhone App company. This game will not only serve as a preliminary source of income for more complicated and better Apps in the future, but we will also be looking for a programmer that can work quickly and efficiently in Objective C, Open GL, and any other programming languages that may come up in our business ventures. This means that if you complete this project with ease, we will plan on hiring you for a full time job as programmer, earning you a 20-30% cut of the total profits.
We will refer to the game Gauntlet Runner, Developed by “Ben”, in the rest of this description. We advise you to download this game at http://games.softpedia.com/get/Freeware-Games/Gauntlet-Runner.shtml so you can better acquaint yourself with the project.
We plan to make a game similar to Gauntlet Runner, but that will run on the iPhone interface. The main parts that we need you to program are: the editor (which is based on square tiles that a player, or developer, can order into levels), the movement of the actual player, which will be a simple fluffy ball that moves and bounces (all movement will be at a steady pace), and a .xml file integrated so that we can add pictures of tiles, and generally graphics for the entire game. We need to be able to edit these quickly and at any time, and be able to add new lines that the game will automatically recognize.
We have taken the time to find a ready-made 2d physics engine for your use. You can download it at: http://cocos2d.org/ . The creators have already made an iPhone version, so there is very little work for you to do.
As you can see this project is not very difficult, so we expect it to be done rapidly. We will supply the winning bidder with graphics, requirements for the Free and Paid versions, and any other materials they may ask for. More information on the fine points of the game will be given upon request.
Payment will be given upon completion. We will escrow a portion of the funds if necessary, but we hope that you will understand that we are doing this project to create initial funds and that your payment may be delayed until the game has started selling.
If you don’t decide to join in with us in partnership, then if you do good work, we will pay good bonuses depending on how well the games does. If you do decide to join in a partnership with us later on, the profits from this game will be included in the 20-30%.
The ABSOLUTE time limit should be two weeks.
Good luck and happy bidding!
P.S. Please post in the PMB with your experience.
