I want to create a script that when it detects an external hard drive it will delete that data on the hard drive. I have an external hard drive which has sensitive material on it (business documents and photos) and I want to be able to delete them remotely if necessary.

I have added a password to the mac in order to share by remote if I need to but just want to be able to activate the script somehow (not obviously) so it then erases all the data on an external hard drive.

I current have a linux server with 2 hard drives attached…. the first drive has all my data, the 2nd drive has NO data but a fresh copy of the OS installed… i need you to move all the data from drive 1 onto the new hard drive then make adjustment so the server works from the new hard drive once the data has been transferred over

in our business we save all client files to the database(CRM), currently we do it by using some sort of import tool (activated by right clicking the file icon) which saves the file to the database record. following is what we would like to have:

Problem:
Currently the only way to get a file into the database is to first save each file to disk and only then can we import it. we would like to speed up the process.

Solution Needed:
A VIRTUAL-DISK-DRIVE so when looking at a open file we should be able to save the document to the virtual drive

1. Once the virtual drive detects an attempt to save a file to it, it should save the file as a pdf to a temp folder.

2. Then
OPTION A: bring up a dialog box where the user can specify the “description” and “category” of the file. And a save button, it should then save the file to the database.

OPTION B: invoke our existing (3rd part) import dialog and passing to it the path of the temp file.

(Option B is preferred, but may be a bit tricky since I only have some information on how to invoke it

Hard drive cloning duplication needed.

I have a server running centos with one sda 120 GB hard drive.
The drive is showing bad sectors and the server is having to be rebooted every couple of days. My colo center has installed a new 120 GB hard drive also loaded with centos and moved the old drive to slave position. I need someone to clone the old drive onto the new drive. I need a exact duplicate that will boot up just like the old drive. If needed I’m sure my colo center will swap the old drive back to primary for a period of time.

I need a program that is programmed in Java and will run on windows, linux and mac platforms. What the program should do is:

Use the rapidshare api ( http://images.rapidshare.com/apidoc.txt )to make a rapidshare account available for usage as a kind of local storage/drive like a normal partition. An example is a WebDAV. The program should run as a background process and configure the drive during the installation of it. It should besically work like this.

User installs programm -> Program assigns drive letter ( e.g. C: )-> User enters login details to his rapidshare account -> Tool updates local drive with files that are available.

It is really important that the folder will react like a local folder. E.g. Drag and Drop. Whenever a file is copied to the drive, it should be uploaded and whenever a file is opened or copied from the drive, it should be downloaded. It should also be possible to create folders delete files folders, as well as to edit the names of them. I am not looking for a snychronization! So, the files in the new drive should not use any storage of the real hard disk. However, temporary storage for file downloads and uploads should be fine.

I do not know if that is possible at all as my coding knowledge is limited, but I am looking forward to your bids.

Furthermore I would like to have a Non Disclosure Agreement signed by the person who will receive the job. Also, I do not want any hidden code inside the program that send the login data to someone else.

All was 100% but when doning work on website i have caused the uploading to second server to fail now.

I have three problems.

The Crontabs has stopped working on the second hard drive but that is probaly not a
problem if the website was connecting to the second hard drive.

My computer crashed while I was trying to upgrade to Windows 7. (I was using MS Office 2007 before it crashed) During the upgrade, the upgrade failed and I was unable to continue the install of Windows 7 and I couldn’t rollback to Vista. Instead of formatting the old drive (that contained everything), I decided to install a new hard drive and install a new version of Windows 7 on the new drive. After a successful installation, I added the old hard-drive as a secondary drive and was able to salvage most of my important files.

Now I need to know how to get my old Outlook folders from my old drive and insert it into my new Outlook folder so that I can access my old mail. I am willing to pay for successful results. You must be very experienced and knowledgable with this type of problem. You must give me a step-by-step instruction for finding the old Outlook folders and inserting it into the new outlook folders. I have decided to use MS Office 2003 because I don’t like Office 07. Hence, the old Outlook is Office 07 and I currently have Outlook 03 with Windows 7.

My server was hacked and my host is reinstalling the server onto a new hard drive for security reasons according to their TOS.

When it was hacked, all my cpanel accounts were deleted. My host has no backup of them. They are attaching the old hard drive as a secondary drive so that I can attempt recovery of the data.

I need a linux expert who can remotely perform data recovery and recover all the old cpanel accounts (there are 5 accounts which need to be restored with the data, databases etc).

The hard drive is not corrupt or anything like that. All that happened is the cpanel accounts were deleted (so the data has been deleted with them).

This is quite urgent as there was A LOT of work on my sites and I cannot afford to lose the data.

Im running a newly established adult torrent site. I want to be able to easily update this site with a PHP application that can do the scraping. I would do it myself but unfortunately I’m pressed for time and have to outsource this. At the moment I do the followng to update the site:
1) Log into pussy torrents dot org and hit the browse button. Note that pussy torrents uses a captcha at login so I must be able to login in manually using your app.
2) Once one the torrent page I download all the torrents of the previous day.
3) I then go to torrenteditor dot com and upload this torrent to the site for editing. I then edit 2 fields. I add a new tracker url to the first tracker field and move the url that was in the first field to the second position. The updated torrent is then downloaded to my hard drive.
4) I open the torrent description page and copy the description and copy the images(should there be any) to my hard drive.
5) I then go to my site and use upload.php to add a new torrent. I then browse for the torrent on my hard drive and browse for the images on my hard drive, so this will need to be changed in order to allow for url uploads. I then choose a category for the torrent and add tags manually.
6) The torrent is then uploaded.

My budget is in the $50-$100 range depending on your experience and completion time frame.

Find or building software for renaming files using a list of keywords:

I have a large list of files saved on my c: drive. Each has it’s own file name, example: file1.doc , file2.doc, file3.doc…. all the way to 1000+

Then I have 1 file which is a list of keywords that I need to rename each of these files as. The keywords are in an excel spreedsheet, but I could create a .txt file (one keyword per line) out of them if needed.

Is there a software, tool, or way to change the file names automatically into the names in my list of keywords?

ie: I load up my keyword file. I select the files off my hard drive to rename, press a button and they get renamed. Each file being renamed as one of the keywords off my list. Or basically if the list of keywords has 10 keywords on it. And I select 10 files off my hard drive, I could get the files selected to change to the names of the keywords on the list.

Additional Info:

I do not need a file renamer that only adds characters and modifies the existing file names, but doesn’t allow me to load a list of keywords. There’s tons of these programs out there. I’m working off a keyword list.

The 1000+ files I want to name are “actual files”, not a list of files. They are like any files you see on your hard drive.

If you submit a piece of software please have tested it first to ensure it does the job. I need the software to be “freeware” because multiple people are going to be doing this job and they won’t want to buy anything.

The goal of this project is to alter an existing PC executable (.exe) file to provide a means to automate a tedious process. (This will be a program used for my personal use and not a program that will be repackaged or sold.)

The program to alter :

Why I need to alter the program :
I regularly archive recordings in the roland format and convert them and the current process is too tedious.

My current process:

1) open a folder that contains many individual folders always with the same folder structure (see attached .zip for the converter program and example files to be converted)

2) drive down to file path: student Name – Instrument – Level – Teacher – Date

3) give that specific path as drive letter so it can be selected in the program (drive)

4) open brwc.exe

5) set drive letter that I specified above

6) select song (there will only be one song in each folder)

7) Select ‘ALL’ button

Select ‘GO’ button

9) (Save As dialog appears) FileName is in notes.txt “Song Title(s) :”

10) (save in same folder)

Go to next folder in the convert folder…

I want this to be a process that is only one step :

1) Put program in the folder that holds the convert folder and run it. It will convert all of the projects within the subfolders within the convert folder. (log any errors in a txt file)
