We created a wordpress site using a template from Elegantthemes.com and are having trouble with a couple of things.

And the problems we need fixing are listed below:

First of all we need to fix the super slow load time in IE 8 & 9….the website takes forever to load in just this browser. It seems there is a script error that needs to be fixed.

Also, when you mouse over any of the buttons like “view listings” or “complete NDA” or “read more” the hand does not appear….making it confusing on if you can click or not. (only in IE)

The “browse listing” side widget’s format seems to change at times depending on where you are at on the site (only in IE)

Then on all the pages the picture formatting does not appear (the text wrap does not work)….compare one of the pages in IE to Firefox and you will see what I mean.

We would also like to remove feature that allow you to zoom in on the listings….we would prefer it to just go directly to the view listing page.

I need help me with a few things on some of my new WordPress sites. I need the problems explained so that I can fix them myself.

1. What settings do I need to adjust to stop out of topic posts?

2. I tired a widget to auto post to one of my blogger sites from my WordPress site but it does not seem to work. Please recommend a widget that does this correctly?

3. One of my new WordPress sites does not seem to want to auto post to one of my new twitter accounts. I set it up like the others but it does not auto post. Any ideas what may be wrong?

I am looking for someone who has configured a lamp server successfully for Radscripts reverse.

This script has never been touched by anyone other than Ed Pakstas and Ying Hong so it is their pure script right now.

It works on Radscripts hosting which crashed and lost six months worth of data- that is why I HAD to move it to a reliable host.

The h r l y rate is 75.00/h r and your 100.00 will not even come close for us to try and figure out why the script will not work on your new hosting service. Unfortunately not all servers are configured the same and we would have to go through the entire script and test out each function all over again in order to satisfy your needs. I repeat, I don’t have the time for this..

I’m well experienced programmer in php/mysql development. I work in a team. We have ran commerce project based on magento. But we have two problems with it:

1) Problem with layer navigation. Does not work filter by manufacturers, price etc. I click on Asus or HP link in the filter list but appears page with empty result, though products with these products are indeed present in list.
2) Problem with sorting. Products does not sort correctly by price and name.

I have copied project to my local machine and there these features works properly! They works properly on 1.3 version and latest one. But project does not work properly on our VPS server. And I haven’t any ideas why. I have ran two projects based on that project, step by step, using the same commands on VPS and local machine but results are different. On VPS mentioned features doesn’t work but on local machine — works.

Why this situation happens? I don’t know. So, I, please, help someone experienced in magento with these two problems. Please, leave you bids and tell me what we can do.

On checkout the ‘Customer Information’ shows some blanks and some unnecesary info

I need some software to keep my computer backed up. I have found no software that is able to do what I would like.

This might mean writing a script for an existing software like SuperDuper or writing an applescript (Yes, its for OS X) or something like that. Its up to you.

Here is what I need

1. It needs to be able to be set on a schedule. (there might be OS level support for scheduling… not sure.)

2. It needs to keep my regular HD &amp; Media HD in sync with my backup drive.

3. Now, there are certain sections on my drive which I have designated as “backup areas” these areas are not simply synced, but need to be watched every time there is a backup for 2 things. a) if a file does not exist on one of the 2 drives, it needs to be copied to the other. b) if there is a a file in both places, and they are different, a flag needs to come up asking for my attention. (or some way for me to attend to the file) In this case the file will have had some data corruption &amp; I need to determine what file is uncorrupted and replace it with the un-corrupted file.

4.I would like some sort of way to modify the program myself. I have a programming background &amp; could modify something quite easily if it were not compiled or what not. It does not need to be super user friendly is all i am saying.

In summary, there are 3 drives, 2 of which need to be synced to the one. There are 2 types of sync’s that need to be applied to different directories (or drives) One like a regular sync. (Make an exact copy)
The other is to bring to the missing drive a file that does not exist on the other &amp; then compare matching files to ensure they are identical. If not a flag of some kind need to be raised. &amp; someone with basic programming skills needs to be able to modify the program.

Examples of why I would want to modify it is for example, I get another drive &amp; want to incorporate that into my backup system. Or Mac decides to change the directory name of something or such.

An extra step, which I think might have to be quoted separately, is for a MD5 do be made of each file in the “compare” mode and when a file becomes corrupt, the un-corrupted file replace it automatically. Not sure if the price for this will justify how much labor it will save me.

Budget is a concern here, so function over fancy here is a plus.

I need a simple PHP script that does the following:

- This script will be called by a cron job every 1 minute.

Main loop:

1. when this script starts executing, it will generate a random value for each Target Web Site Account. Depending on that value, 1/10th of the time it will allow the rest of this script to continue executing. That way this script will run approximately once each hour for each Target Web Site Account, but not exactly every hour. The value of 10 that controls how often this script runs (as in the 1/10th) must be configurable in a variable in the config file.
2. this script will enter a username and password into the Target Web Site and click on the “log in” button. I should be able to store username and password pairs for multiple accounts in the MySQL database (I’ll be using PhpMyAdmin to make changes to these config values in the database – therefore, it does not need an interface for entering those values into the database). The config file (or database) should allow an unlimited number of username/password pairs.
3. this script will confirm that the user is logged in, and if not, try logging in again, up to 5 times (must be able to set the maximum number of times in the MySQL database). If it fails after 5 tries, it should send an email to the admin (me).

4. Depending on a setting in the config file, this script will do one of the following:
- it will read the _NEXT_ line from either TextFile1, TextFile2, or TextFile3 that are on my server (the script must keep track of which line is the next unread line in each text file, and since the script does not run continuously, it will have to store this pointer in a MySQL database)
- OR, it will read a _RANDOM_ line from that same text file. It will keep track of the last 8 lines that were read, so that it doesn’t repeat them.

5. it posts that line to a form on the Target web site and click the “submit” button.
6. it confirms that it was posted successfully by checking the response page. If it was not posted, try posting again, up to 5 times (must be able to set the number of times in a PHP variable in a config file)

At the beginning of the script, when it starts executing:

- I must be able to set (in the config file) a Blackout Timespan: this is a beginning time-of-day and an end time-of-day when this script will NOT execute when it is called.

- This script must support multiple accounts. In other words, I must be able to configure the settings and text file for multiple accounts on the Target Web Site with this script, and the script will log into the Target web site with each account and run the settings.

Note #1: As I mentioned above, I’ll be using PhpMySql to make changes to the config values in the database – therefore, this script does not need an interface for entering/changing those values in the database

Note #2: Please leave a bid for doing all of the work shown above, and indicate how long it will take.
Then, leave a Private Message using the PMB that tells me how much it would cost for a Phase 2 (separate and in addition to the bid for the above work) to take all the config information and create a web interface for it so that 1) PhpMyAdmin is not needed, 2) the files can be edited within the web interface, and 3) all config variables can be modifed within the web interface. I need a php script that will do the following.

1. If $user_dir already exists and contains at least one file (of any name) but must have a .zip extension (*.zip)
{ do something}
2. else, if the directory exists but does not contain at least one (*.zip) file,
{ do nothing}
3. else, if $user_dir does not exist, create it and
{do nothing else}.

To summarize:
The directory must exist and it must contain at least one .zip file with any filename (*.zip) before we {do something}.
However, if the directory does exist but does not contain at least one *.zip file, everything is fine, we don’t do anything.
Or, if the directory doesn’t exist at all, then we create it and that’s all.

SITE PLANNING

1. I have a WordPress Site (hosted on my server) and being used as a Blog but could never get the FeedBurner to work since day-1, so when someone wants to signup for the RSS feed this error message always appears: “The feed does not have subscriptions by email enabled.”

2. In addition a new bug has appeared where the Comments can not be viewed anymore when clicked-on (but did work in the past), with this error: “Internet Explorer cannot display this feed. This feed contains code errors.”

3. Plus, somehow there are two duplicate Privacy Policies on the main page but there should only be one and don’t see how to delete the 2nd one?

4. And the Privacy Policy does not have the needed Google Adsense wording update and can’t figure out how to install a new privacy policy with the update. That is using the WP Privay Policy Plugin which already has the updated wording done but installing it is the issue.

5. Related I believe to #1 and #2 (located in the upper right side of the WP page) my RSS News feed also does not work.

I have tried fixing these 5 issues myself but can’t figure it out. IMO, they are most likely either configuration or setup issues. I am fairly certain these issues are not caused by my server or its software but by WP setup issues so please don’t ask me to upgrade my Php or Apache, etc.

If someone here who is EXPERT at WordPress site setups and configurations could fix these issues I would also likely want to hire them to do other work for me, including ongoing maintanance of the WordPress Blog and other websites too. Thanks.

Some parts on a model/dance site needs to be fixed :

1) when signing up as a model, the picture of the model does not appear in the gallery

2) when signing up as a member, you get a message “this email address is already in use”

3) the current video uploading tool does not work, you don’t see an image of the video you have uploaded and the video does not play (I already have the site hosted on a FFMPEG/FLV/LAME etc hosting server)

I need a simple system with 3 tables in a MySQL database, the first table will house the details of a customer, the second table will house the details of an event and the third table will link them via a customer id and appointment id to form an appointment card if you will. The user will need to add, remove, edit and view records from each table, the user does not need to be able to query the database but I will need a function so that customers with booked appointments can be listed with the event and appointment details.

The customer table will need custID, title, first name, last name, address 1, address 2, address 3, postal code, telephone number fields

The event table will need eventID, event name, event length and price fields.

the appointment table will need apptID, date, time, location1, location2, location2, postal code, custID(booking the event) and eventID(what the customer has booked).

I need a wordpress expert who can customize wordpress in a way so that

1. It does not look like a template
2. It does not look like wordpress

I’m looking for someone who has a portfolio that includes simple and clean site design similar to facebook and twitter.

The main feature of the site will have a search box that shows results in a lower region of the home page and once the result is clicked on, the result will show in a custom display box in the center of the homepage. This box does not need to be fancy – even a box with dotted lines and rounded edges will do.

I also want the users of wordpress to be integrated with phpbb users so that once you register for wordpress, that automatically registers you for the forum. Budget is under 500. Thank You.
