The following is a brief overview of how we see the PROPOSED Mobile App being implemented for the mobile device markets. Please itemize your estimate by task and platform, including pricing for development of apps for the OS, Android, Windows and Blackberry devices. Also, include pricing for simultaneous code-sharing development that can take place, such as when a development tool such as Titanium is used that would reduce the development time and effort.

The primary reason for the mobile app’s existence is to enable viewing of member information that has been downloaded from the CLIENT website database. All member information entry takes place on the CLIENT website by the member, and as the mobile app is for viewing of information only, the content on the mobile device is non-editable.

The mobile app is a shell for displaying the member information. Our intent is to have limited information downloaded from the CLIENT website database to the mobile device at the time the data is entered on the website. The update of the mobile app’s data will not take place when the member accesses their mobile app, but at the time of the data entry on the website. Therefore, if mobile connectivity were to be lost, the member would still have access to their most current information on their mobile device. Essentially, the member’s profile is frozen as static information to be displayed when the PROPOSED App button is activated.

Need two images created, depicting a small electronic device. I will supply a scanned drawing showing approximately how the device should look like. The images should show the image from two separate directions.

The device is rectangular in shape, and slightly resembles a USB hub.

The images are probably something that are typically done with CAD software, although I could imagine (but I may be wrong) that they can also be created using Photoshop or similar.

Creating the images does not require electronic design or engineering design because the images only need to convey a concept of how this particular device would look like.

I need a simple screen saver apps for iphone, ipod touch and ipad. It will take images from the device and slide shows across the device when the device is in the standby mode.

Attached SDK is written for the fingerprint terminal. Inside there is “Attend.dll ” which is used for downloading data from one fingerprint device to Udisk and than using this udisk you can upload data to another device. But we want to the transmission from our software. We do not want to use Udisk for transmitting data from one device to another. We are developing a time attendance software in C# , and using the dll s at the attached SDK. Now we need this dll in order to use at our software.

In this project – there is a Dictionary which is used as the main data structure and records details about custom hardware connected to the serial port.

The serial port is used to interrogate the hardware, and when a device responds with it’s serial number and addresss, it is added to the Dictionary.

Devices respond when interrogated ( either individually or in groups ).

The devices each have a unique serial number – duplicate serial numbers are not permitted.

The Dictionary is filled by polling for devices and may take several seconds or even minutes to complete depending on the scale of the connected device hardware.

The dictionary only contains basic information about the connected devices. Once a device has been added to the dictionary, a device object is created that can then be used to represent the real device and additional device properties are set by subsequent serial port requests.

Two important properties assigned to the devices are the AREA and ZONE values that determine how the devices function as part of the system.

These properties are stored in the actual physical device and retrieved as a numeric value when requested.

The most recent project created datagridviews which allowed the user to assign names to these properties. These names are held only on the PC running the application and NOT in the physical device.

Stage 1 is to Save and restore the Dictionary to disk, alongside the Area / Zone Name tables.

It should be possible to save and load this data as a single ( XML?) file. ( ZONE/AREA naming) + (DEVICEDICTIONARY).

At some point other data may need to be stored in this file.

File structure open for suggestions.

Optional if not difficult: It should be possible to save / restore the data types separately if needed – (eg. ZONE/AREA naming as a separate file ).

I require a c# coded application to control and set up an ‘automated home’ lighting control system.

The application will communicate via the serial port and using a protocol will communicate with wall plates and dimmers installed within a building. The devices are addressed and communicate asynchronously with the application ( and each other ).

Physical devices must be mapped to software objects in the application.

The application will be able to set up specific parameters within each device, e.g channel names, device names, scene settings, fade times, push button attributes, etc.The application will interrogate devices and keep track of the system state where required.

Devices can report back on the current set light levels of individual channels, Dimmer temperature, channel features etc.

The application will be receiving packets from the functioning system when users press buttons etc, so the data packets ( where addressed ) must be routed to the appropriate object.

Upon power – up a device will send a ‘hello’ packet, and may then be interrogated to discover its settings / state / type of device.
Further interrogation yields detailed information about the devices charateristics and functions. This information is used to model the device in the application and present the user the correct interface for setting it up.

This is a highly real time application, which requires reliable serial port control, a simple user interface and allows in depth programming and setting up of the installed system.

Experience in this type of application would be preferred.

We are looking to design a device which can output NTSC video to RCA Video Out.

Basically the PC will send streaming video (in any FORMAT as may be required by this device) over the PC firewire to this device. The bitstream will be 320×240 or 640×480, and up to 20 images per second.

Monitor Center Server Program

It can send any control commands to GPS Tracker, GPS Tracker executes the real control action to Garmin device.

we would like to have a windows programm like driver detective (search in google for that), that will search the computer for installed devices and lookup in an internet database if there is a newer driver available.

The software should work with windows xp, xp64, vista, vista64 and the newest to be released windows version.

After the search is completed, the user sees a list of outdated drivers and links to their download url. We have already a website where we offer device drivers, but we have no relation from windows device to a specific driver.
So your second task would also be to propose a solution how to extract device driver details (like VendorID and DeviceID) from device driver archive files (.exe, .zip, etc), which are available. For example this data can be extracted from .inf files that are available in the device driver archive files. Or maybe you have a better solution?

Alternatively its also possible to create an ACTIVE-X plugin that is run inside the browser instead of a windows programm, but its important that it also works within Mozilla Firefox. It depends on you.

Please give an estimate for both parts.

Goal of this project is to create the Navigation Application for Mobile Phones and Smartphones. This application will combine typical, turn-by-turn navigation functionality with the functionality of displaying additional geographical and text information (like POI’s contours or POI’s text descriptions).

Turn-by-turn navigation functionality should be implemented based on data from OpenStreetMap, while additional information (contours, text) should be based on data from Service Provider’s server. OSM data and data from Service Provider’s server should be combined together to create Input Files so that the User will be able to download those Input Files to his device, open in the application and navigate.

This application is intended mainly to work off-line (!) using local data kept locally, however with the possibility to activate on-line connection and get some additional information directly from Google Map (like Satellite view for example).

The application itself will be only some sort of browser with no data so there must be also implemented the mechanism of transforming geographical data coming from two sources (OSM and Service Provider databases) into Input Files for application.

Application should be as much as possible device independent and work with most of popular mobile phones and Smartphones working under Symbian, Mobile Windows, iPhone etc. as long as those phones meet minimum requirements (screen resolution etc.). Application should be also compatible with touch-screen devices so that all functionality will be available by touching appropriate elements. Application should work with different screen resolutions (depending on the device) and adjust automatically to fit to the whole screen.

This application should use Open Street Map data for the purposes of displaying the map and calculating a route. It is expected that rather than writing this application from the scratch, some existing components or application will be reused (like software for handling OSM data GPSMID http://gpsmid.sourceforge.net) to not reinvent the wheel. However any reused software should be appropriately modified to guarantee necessary integration, functionality and professional look & feel (Look & Feel must be top professional like modern applications for iPhone or Tomtom or Garmin).

This project is the first phase. Phase II shall be considered as separate project. The SP is welcome to provide a bid for that work after the completion of Phase I and most likely will be preferred vendor for Phase II.

I need a software application to be developed. The end product will be integrated with a hardware device. After you read the project specs, I want to know what programming language you will use and why.
Basically, this software will be integrated with a hardware device that is SIMILAR in size to a GPS navigator (5 inch by 5 inch touch screen display) and it will have a touch screen capability similar to a mouse navigation that is controlled by the touch of a finger.
This hardware will be connected to the internet by USB directly to client computer or internet cable or wireless . c. The hardware will be connected to client computers by USB, or if they don’t have a computer, we connect by internet cable, or wireless and control the device from our computer. Once it’s connected, a client software will be automatically downloaded or installed onto the client computer and all hardware devices will be controlled from our admin area to their computer to the hardware devices. (One client could have one hardware device or 100 hardware devices.
d. THis application will allow us to provide our clients with daily, weekly, or monthly reporting. Sent automatically by email. The report will also include which device the report is originated. (We will upload that email address along with the variables of that business etc. from our admin area on our initial set up of that client in our admin area.)
Based on the end users input from the hardware, this software will gather each of those interactions based on certain categories. These categories are aligned to the variables that we upload for each client. (I will provide more details to the developers.)
e. we can control all the devices from our admin area online. We can upload advertising into devices for one client, for a group of clients or all clients.

Let me give you a scenario:
lets say you go into a restaurant, there is a hardware with about a 5 square inch touch screen device there. you use this hardware to order your food. So the variables could be starters, main courses, desserts, drinks etc. so when this customer enters this data from our touch screen hardware, our back end will gather this customers data, save it, the time, date, etc. and will be sent to a our client so he will know what this customer ordered. This is just a scenario. In this restaurants case, the variables were , starters, main courses, desserts, drinks etc. If it were a hotel, the variables could be, single room, double room, suite, spa room etc.
but we could get a restaurant client that wants to have another variable added ie. Candy,or soda or alcohol; we could go to our admin area, select restaurant from category industry, and make the additions, changes or edit, then save it.
We are looking for developers who have developed software that integrated with hardware before. Please explain what some of your past projects were and how that applies here.

Need a custom module for WHMCS for device management. The module would need to do the following :

1) Store information on a per asset number basis. Information such as motherboard, processor, hard drive size, RAM size, rackmount case part #, assigned IP/ip allocation, installed operating system, control panel, managed/self-managed, rempte reboot IP, remote reboot port #, etc but would also like to be able to customize what information is stored.

I would then want to be able to tie an existing customer to an Asset # to allow easy cross reference of a customer to an asset or vice versa.

2) Allow remote reboot function in client area using above remote reboot info (APC only)

Sprint HTC Touch Pro with windows mobile

I have downloaded the Cell Spy Pro. software to my PC and I have the CD that came with my phone..it makes a mobile device icon on the” my computer” page. I can’t “send to” my mobile device, I can only “copy” and “past” in to my device software that synchronizes and converts it to a mobile device compatible ?whatever.

I see the software on my phone and can click on it and move it but I cannot open it…this is the message I get when I click on it…”There is on application associated with spy 2009 Run the application first, then open this file from within the application.” What does that mean!!!

The phone has a WinZip program and my PC does NOT have Microsoft outlook or bluetooth…just to let you know.

There is no INTERNAL MEMORY icon on my phone so I’m not to sure I’m putting it in the right place…

Now the Microsoft ActiveSync has options and tools but I don’t have enough understanding of what it does and what I need to do…

The Problem
A client is interested in exactly what percentage of the time her air conditioning is running. One way to measure this is to keep a temperature logging device right by an AC vent. The device measures the temperature every 30 seconds. If the temperature drops at least .5 degrees Fahrenheit between readings, it’s a good bet that the AC unit just turned on. Likewise, if the temperature rises at least .5 degrees Fahrenheit between readings it’s likely that the AC unit just turned off. (For example, if the reading at 1:30:00pm was 74.7 degrees F and the reading at 1:30:30pm was 74.1 degrees F, then we would assume for the 30 seconds starting at 1:30:00pm and ending at 1:30:30pm, the AC was on. If there is no big rise or fall in a 30 second interval, we assume the state of the AC was whatever it was in the previous 30 second interval. We will assume that the AC is always off at midnight.

You will be given the temperature readings from one logging device for a whole day (24 hours). Using this information, you must calculate the percentage of time the air was on for the day and produce a bar graph with houry data.

Input File Format (temp.txt)
This file will have exactly 2881 doubles, one per line, indicating readings of temperatures (in Fahrenheit) starting at midnight and ending at midnight the next day. The readings are taken every 30 seconds. The start of a file might look like this:

The Output
First, output a line with the following format:

The AC was running X percent of the time.

where X is a percentage rounded to 2 decimal places, corresponding to how often the AC was running throughout the whole day.

After this line of output, skip a blank line and output a bar graph with a similar format to the one in the posted file.
Each bar corresponds to the percent of time the AC was running during that hour. Since the bars are shown with 5% increments, only display a star if the percentage for that hour equals or exceeds the marked percentage. Here’s the basic idea in how to create it.

First, store the data in an array of size 24, where each entry indicates the percentage of time the AC was running in that hour. (For example, the entry in index 0 stands for the amount of time the AC was running from midnight to 1 am.)

Now, print each row in order, first the row for 100%, then 95%, then 90%, etc. all the way down to 5%. While you are printing a row, for each column, you must ask yourself the question,
