Data Recovery On Linux Server

January 21st, 2010 Comments off

My server was hacked and my host is reinstalling the server onto a new hard drive for security reasons according to their TOS.

When it was hacked, all my cpanel accounts were deleted. My host has no backup of them. They are attaching the old hard drive as a secondary drive so that I can attempt recovery of the data.

I need a linux expert who can remotely perform data recovery and recover all the old cpanel accounts (there are 5 accounts which need to be restored with the data, databases etc).

The hard drive is not corrupt or anything like that. All that happened is the cpanel accounts were deleted (so the data has been deleted with them).

This is quite urgent as there was A LOT of work on my sites and I cannot afford to lose the data.

Payment only after succesful recovery of the data, and after I am satisfied that the data has been recovered and my sites are working again.

Thanks

Undelete File Program: Windows

December 18th, 2009 Comments off

I need a program that will scan a disk (hard drive, usb flash, memory card) in any common format [fat (fat12, fat16, fat32, exfat), ntfs(v3.0+)] and locate any files that have been deleted.

It should then display the deleted files found in a list sortable by filename, size, original folder, and filetype.

Image files should show a small preview of the image when clicked/highlighted.

The user will be able to select which files to undelete, select a destination, and press ‘undelete’

The program will start ‘unregistered’ and when the user attempts to recover their files it will prompt them to register on our website. When users are sent to the website to register I would like the filetype(s), filesize(s), folder(s), and drive letter/disk format(s) of the file(s) they are trying to recover encoded in the url.

A simple registration system will be needed.

Care should be taken to not accidentally overwrite any deleted files both before/during scan and during file recovery (such as by never writing to disk unless undeleting file -and also- reading the entire file to be undeleted into memory once file has been selected for undeletion [if enough memory is present]).

Use of existing code is highly encouraged to speed development time and lower costs.

I will need all the source code for the program. No .net

Thank You

Fantastico will install Joomla if desired. Fantastico comes free in Cpanel with our hosting provider. We want a searchable membership database, to allow people to find our members in your location.

Membership includes:
Your Photo,
City,
State,
ZipCode or PostalCode,
Telephone number,
Website Link,
About Me “text field” for info about this member,
Able to change your details when you login,

Our logo should be on background each page if possible.
Important to search to locate a member, so make it ez to locate the member by search function.

If you have ideas on how to add membership fee function, there is only 2 membership fees, one for 6 months the other for one year membership. You can read sales page and use the paypal link on salesletter page to pay membership fee.

If you have done similar job with Joomla, send link to let me see your projects because maybe I pay to add special features seen in your other work. Especially some “rating system” like seen on eBay.

If you send a list of non-joomla sites for me to see, then your bid will be deleted.

If you tell me this bid will require many many days, your bid will be deleted. If you have never worked Joomla, your bid will be deleted.

If this is your 1st project, your bid will be deleted UNLESS you have a link to your website showing you have done Joomla before.

I have used Joomla before and will “test you” to be sure I believe you can do this job. We have no members yet and this project may fail, it is only a test, so bid low to begin a relationship!

Hello and Thank you for taking the time to read post. I posted this project earlier and have since found out a little more info so I wanted to update the post.

Please read the bottom of this post to understand the original problem.

ok with that said I believe someone may have hacked and forced a sql statement to erase data in a the tables listed below.

I Just need someone to go in and review and secure the code and/or database(mysql) from further attack. I also need someone to set up a automatic database backup system through php that updates twice a day so if there is any further problems the data will always be secure.

Thank you for taking the time to review this I look forward you your bids

Hello I am in need of help. I am a beginning php mysql web developer I recently completed a a cms system for a apartment rental site. one of the areas I made was a area to add new properties to their site. I created four different tables they are as follows:Properties, propIMG, amenities, Cities. the tables are organized as follows.

Properties
-propID
-PropAdress
-PropZipcode
-propState
-cityID

propIMG
-propID
-imageName

Amenties
-amentiesID
-propID

cities
-cityID
-cityName

Now this is my problem twice now data has disappeared from all of the above tables. The first time it happened someone was in the process of adding a new property through the CMS when they said their browser froze, they refreshed then all the data in the properties table was deleted except the property the person was trying to add also all data associated with properties that disappeared also disappeared. BUt the strange thing is not the whole table was deleted their was still data in 3 of 4 of the tables that table disappeared it was old test data that was not related to any any of the properties that were deleted..

the same thing also happened to the properties images table where all the data that was in the table associated with the deleted properties was gone but other info from previous test properties was still there. Now all the cities in the cities table was deleted.

I have done research and I can not seem to find a source or a problem.

Now the first time this happened I thought maybe their was a script error somewhere that would cause this but I could find none. I then proceeded to test the system myself so I uploaded about twenty new properties everything was working perfectly until I opened the site today and all the data I just put in was erased with the exception of the cities table all the cites were still there.

Now here is the part that is really weird Nobody has accessed the cms I built but me and The last time i logged off their was over 20 properties but now they are all gone. There are also the same four tables data erased but not all data just the ones accociated with the new properties I uploaded..

I need a MYSQL GURU or Master that can look over the existing code and try to troubleshoot the problem and come up with a fix. I Also need someone to create a php based automatic mysql backup system I would like the system to back-up the database daily and a easy system to reload the backed-up mysql dump.

Thank you for taking the time to review this I look forward you your bids

Simple Binary Tree Inventory

August 12th, 2009 Comments off

You are to write a program that creates and maintains a binary search tree of items in a super market. Each item has a name and a value. All item names will be lowercase alphabetic strings of less than 30 letters. All values will be positive real numbers representing prices. Also, for each node in the tree, you are to maintain the value of all of the items in that subtree. Your tree should be “sorted” based on alphabetical ordering of the item names as determined by strcmp. Your program must allow the user to do the following:

1) Add an item to the inventory
2) Delete an item from the inventory
3) Print out all of the items in the inventory in alphabetical order.
4) Print out the value of all items underneath the subtree of a given item.

For example, if the user adds these items:

a) “soap”, $2.95
b) “raisins”, $2.00
c) “jellybeans”, $5.00
d) “tea”, $1.95

Input File Specification (inventory.txt)
The first line of the input file will contain a single positive integer, n, representing the number of commands to execute. The following n lines will contain one command each, in the other they are to be executed.

The first number of each of these lines will be either 1, 2, 3 or 4, to signify the choices listed above.

If the choice is 1, it will be followed by the name of the item added and its price (as a number), both separated by spaces.

If the choice is 2, it will be followed by the name of the item to be deleted.

Choice 3 will be on a line by itself.

Choice 4 will be followed by a single string storing an item.

Output Specification
For each command, your program should provide some output.
The output provided by each command should be separated by a blank line.

For choice 1, if the item to be added is NOT in the tree, output a line with the following format:

item has been added to the stock.

where item is the name of the item added. If the item is ALREADY in the tree, output a line with the following format:

Sorry, item is already in stock. No changes made.

For choice 2, if the item to be deleted is IN the tree and is successfully deleted, output a line with the following format:

item has been deleted from the stock.

If the item is NOT in the tree, then output a line with the following format:

Sorry, item couldn’t be deleted because it’s not in stock.

For choice 3, the first line should read:

Here is a list of the items in stock:

Each following line should have information about one item and the list should be in alphabetical order by item name. Here is the format for one of these lines:

item $price

The price should be printed out to two decimal places exactly.

Finally, for choice 4, print out the sum of the values of all the items in the subtree rooted by the designated item. If this item is NOT in the tree, $0.00 should be printed out. Here is the format for the output for this option.

The value of all the items underneath item is $price.

Implementation Restrictions
You must store the data in nodes of a binary tree. Each binary tree node must store 3 pieces of information: the name of the item, its price, and the sum of the prices of all the items in its subtree.

Sample Input File
11
2 soap
1 soap 2.95
1 raisins 2.00
1 jellybeans 5.00
1 tea 1.95
4 raisins
3
2 raisins
4 soap
4 cereal
1 soap 3.50

Sample Output
Sorry, soap couldn’t be deleted because it’s not in stock.

soap has been added to the stock.

raisins has been added to the stock.

jellybeans has been added to the stock.

tea has been added to the stock.

The value of all the items underneath raisins is $7.00.

Here is a list of the items in stock:
jellybeans $5.00
raisins $2.00
soap $2.95
tea $1.95

raisins has been deleted from the stock.

The value of all the items underneath soap is $9.90.

The value of all the items underneath cereal is $0.00.

Sorry, soap is already in stock. No changes made.

Binary Searchtree Problem In C

July 20th, 2009 Comments off

For example, if the user adds these items:

a) “soap”, $2.95
b) “raisins”, $2.00
c) “jellybeans”, $5.00
d) “tea”, $1.95

in this order, then the structure of the binary tree would be as follows:

soap 2.95
total: 11.90
/
raisins 2.00 tea 1.95
total: 7.00 total 1.95
/
jellybeans 5.00
total: 5.00

To Fix All Errors On The Site

July 15th, 2009 Comments off

Looking for experienced programmer, who can fix all errors and mistakes left by previous programmers on my web site.

The web site is www.yourworkman.com

It works similar like www.ratedpeople.com, or www.mybuilder.com
Outside pages looks ok, but not everything works correctly.
Here are some errors which need to be fixed:
1. Customer can upload any size images to their account. It makes our web site to work very slowly. We need to integrate program to reduce the pictures automaticly (example 100KB), or put the limit to it, which will not allow customers to upload images bigger than 100Kb. We want to have progress bar while picture uploading as well.
2. We need to fix our Back buttons on the site. Some of the Back buttons works fine, some of them make the page to jump to wrong pages after clicking it. We want to add more Back buttons on the site.
3. We want to make some changes to customer account design. (It would be nice if you could advice some changes from your side). At the moment it looks a bit messy.
4. Programmers tried to integrate UK post code script to our web site, but it makes our site work very slowly, or sometimes it doesn’t work at all.
5. We need to make more functions in our admin to make it easier to manage.
6. Another error is when homeowner posts a job, receive quotes from tradesmen, and then delete this job, this job gets deleted from all tradesmen accounts as well and this homeowner gets deleted automatically from the system and admin. The jobs can’t be deleted from tradesman account when homeowner delete it.
7. When new customer register on the site, and save his details, it shows wrong details in his account. We need to fix it as well.

It easy to test the site by registering on the site as a tradesman and as a homeowner with the right UK post code. Try to post a job, accept it and leave feedback (it works like www.ratedpeople.com, www.mybuilder.com, www.myhammer.com).

Please only bid if you know how it works and are confident that you can fix the site, and make it fully functional tidy web site.

Thanks

Ok seems alot of programmers NOT listening to our requirements.

If you have bid previously on our project DO NOT BID AGAIN your bid will be deleted.

DO NOT message us if you have bid previously, your message will be deleted.

WE WANT A DYNAMIC PROGRAMMER….!!!!!!!!!!!

We are not seeking an average programmer or a decent programmer we want a DYNAMIC programmer, one who can think for himself and take initiatives.

We want a script that is unique to US, also COPYRIGHTED to us, not one that is existing or you slapped together, we want a script that has the WOW factor…!!!

Preferably along the lines of:

easyroommate.com

It is a global success based on several reasons:

1) Layout and design
2) Quick loading
3) User features
4) Ability to adjust any of the features from the back end
5) Seo Optimised
6) Great meta tagging
7) Multiple regions
8) Multiple currencies
9) Fantastic search abilities
10) Ability to add advertisers in differing positions

The script i am seeking must have the ability to run in FREE mode or PAID MEMBER mode, must be paypal integrated and payment levels easily adjusted from Admin panel.

Must be cross browser compatible IE6 & 7 / Firefox 2 & 3 / Safari / Opera…..etc…etc..

Also these incorporated features ARE a MUST:

1) If a user changes profile the profile gets put on hold until approved and their older profile stays up until the new approval.
2) Profile Filtering for email and phone number inclusions etc.
3) Image upload watermarking
4) Front template promoting latest rooms / latest seekers
5) ALL users must either upload image of themselves as seekers or users offering rooms must upload imaging
6) Ability to block certain IP’s and ranges
7) Template with ability to adjust code/ images / layouts etc.
8) All fields in profiles able to adjusted with new fields or editing existing fields.

If you have a current demo of this type of site i want to be able to login to admin area.

Before you bid go to easyroommate.com and make a profile in both SEEKER and OFFERER so you know the type of site i require.

This site operates on PHP/ JAVA / AJAX / FLASH

The site i require MUST be smooth and resource friendly.

*************************************************************
Before we choose a winning bidder you must show us the following:

MOCK UP FRONTPAGE
PROVIDE BRIEF OVER VIEW OF HOW YOU WILL DESIGN THIS SITE
***************************************************************

We have the mock up frontpage we want and a project over view, we want you to give us what YOU think we are seeking based on information given here..!!!!

I will not entertain unrealistic bids nor bidders with no clue what i want, ENGLISH LANGUAGE IS A MUST.

I currently have an accommodation site so the successful winner will also need to migrate current users.

This site will only cater for 4 countries Australia / America / England / Canada – all cities and regions must be accomodated.

Successful winner will also need to provide 6 months of back up and support both for design and programming.

No payments will be made upfront or in phases, payment will be made in Escrow of MY choice and paid upon completion and satisfaction of site.

If you cannot agree to any of these conditions DON’T BID..!!!

I have been using programmers for many years, i can spot scammers / rip off artists a mile away….if you think this is an easy rip off, think again you’ll be only kidding yourself.

All features / DB and other inclusions will be fully tested before any payment is handed over.

Feel your up for the challenge.? When you respond i do NOT want a long winded resume, show me your equally impressive site as Easyroommate.com nothing more nothing less and provide login details.

For those who cut and paste generic responses or intro’s your bid gets deleted immediately.

BID AWAY..!!!

**********************************************************
UPDATE

It seems there are some pretty keen programmers that wish to do this project, HOWEVER many seem to lack basic communication skills.

I ONLY speak in English – if you cannot speak basic english do not bother bidding or messaging me.

The winner MUST be prepared to communicate with my company on AUSTRALIAN time NOT USA time.

If you cannot change your time schedule to suit the client then this job is not for you..!!!

Show us some initiative, we want to see what your capable of, do a mock up of what you think this company wants, show us your coding skills……if you refer a long list of sites that have no relevance to what we need your bid will be deleted IMMEDIATELY.

Our company has ongoing projects after this one is completed satisfactorily..

WE DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UP FRONT OK – ONLY UPON COMPLETION OF SCRIPT AND TO OUR LIKING..!!!!!

If you want to be paid X amount up front, then this job is NOT for you.
