Hi, we need to develop a dynamic map in which all the USA is rendered in the following way:
Shaded polygon representing individual states, with the shade being a value, then a following layer of shading representing counties, and a third layer representing a block (211.000 blocks altogether). Once this visual representation has been rendered, we need to overlay what we call dealers, our dealers and the competition, and be able to sort by a series of parameters.
We do have all the boundaries for all the states, counties and blocks, as well the lat and long of the dealers. Please go to www.66.11.64.70/csp2/main2.html to see an example.
Here is the catch. Given the fact that the data is so massive, if this is done in Java, it will take forever to render, and most likely will crash. If it’s done in flash, it’s much faster. The map will pull data from a mysql database (any ideas are welcomed).

2. Paint readings- our onsite technicians will take readings with a paint reader and manually transfer information to the ordering dealer.

Hi All,

Need a car dealers website. A clone of www.pakwheels.com is acceptable with changes in design. Anything similar would also do. The basic idea is to upload the car’s info and pictures and then people can search for it online. There should be refined search where people can one or more then one field to search. I will provide the entries that need to be entered when registering a car and what options it will have, like drop down, text field or radio button.

If you have worked on similar projects please send them in your proposals. I would prefer php so that the I dont have to get windows hosting.

There should also be a an option where the cars that are sold can easily be deleted from the admin panel. The search result should show thumbnails of the main images and the click should open the bigger image in a new window.

Will provide more details once I select someone.

Standard Forums, with user id and password management, and admin control panel. The user does not need to have a different user id and password, a user is a user, who is simply registered on the web site. Every user must be registered with basic details.

Comparing
This requires that all car data Is stored in a specific format in the car database, with no exception on data being left empty and with data validation. This can be entered by Admin for new cars and by users for new car. New car types can be added by users as well. For instance just how GSM Arena stores information for all cell phones, a list needs to be determined for cars and made into a generic structure enabling the comparing feature to work.

Searching
The web site must have a complete search engine.

SMS Alerting
SMS alerts must be generated for users only on specific areas. The recommendation is that for instance when a user posts a new entry for sale in the used cars section and someone posts a bid for it then an alert is generated.

Polling
This is a feature, self explanatory. Users must be given a unique poll every day and old polls must be archived.

Ranking
This feature is just like GSMArena. Popularity by rate, by interest etc. A separate page for ranking is also there. The cars getting the most hits by generic type are ranked by region, by popularity.

Newsletter
A news letter would be circulated say every month with unique content. This calls for all email addresses and names to be stored on the web site such that it enables Admin to send out a newsletter.

Auctioning (Bidding Forum)
This involved no e commerce, there is no e commerce on this web site. A user can post a car for sale and other users can place their bids with emails being generated to the user who posted the bid. The bid must open and close eventually.

Posting and Viewing Videos
The user must be able to post a video for instance when he or she posts a car for sale. Users interested in purchase should be able to view it. Technically all formats must be acceptable, compression must be considered, viewing should be through standard browsers and no downloading of extra tools must be required.

Account Management
Users must be able to create accounts here providing personal information and become registered members of the web site. Users should be able to add edit and delete details, change passwords, personalize the web site as per their needs.

Statistics
Users must be able to compare and contrast pries and see pricing trends for instance this is the pricing trend for a certain vehicle.

Complete Forums for registered users only, people should be able to browse through the forums even if they are not registered.

A wallpapers and screen savers section, posted by Admin, people can contribute too.

STAGE ONE (Only quote on this part of the job at present)

We need a fast experienced coder/programmer to run us up a car/auto classified ads website in one week.

It must have a clean look to the coding/design, similiar base to easycarportal(dot)com or features on iautosoftware(dot)com.

It will have free listings and paid for, so must be able to change and add new types/feature ads etc. It will be for private and trader sellers, so two sections – one aimed at private sellers (free) and the trader (dealers) section will have their own details/logos etc, so when the cars are listed it shows their logo etc next to it on the listing pages.

We want a search which covers the normal run of the mill selections, ie, new/used, make, model, postcode, distance to search within, price min-max etc with an advanced search also an option for users.

We are in the UK, so everything must be for this market, ie, UK postcode search, UK pound and miles etc. You should be building a UK postcode database into the system, and also all normal UK makes & models to database.

On the car listing page, we want the user to be able to upload a video, and also up to 10 images (controled by admin panel). The images will show as one large image then the other ones smaller under it – you can then either view images by clicking on them – or click on slideshow and it will run through the car images in the big space.

We also want the option for the user to create a video online from the images supplied, in case they don’t have a video to upload, this would be s simple standard flash type script that then plays through the images uploaded and creates a movie from them, ie, it enlarges in and out of them and moves from left to right for example, giving the impression of a video from the uploaded static images. It would also be of benefit it you could use lightbox box effect at these stages……ie, when video etc is clicked on to play.

It would show the sellers info etc for contracting them including telephone number, email, web address, company logo etc for dealers all next to each car listing.

Payment options for transactions on the website – would need to include paypal for example.

We also want to run ad banner space from the admin panel, and will create design of website to include these banner areas. It will also note click throughs and impressions of the ad banners and store this info for viewing, and be control by start and end dates etc. The option also needs to be here to add keywords to banners, so say we have an audi banner, nd when someone searches for audi this banner will show on the result page.

Each user will need to register as either a private or dealer, and they have their own pages after login, for example showing old cars they listed, all their live ads and also a transaction info page, listing all their website activity.

On the home page, there would be featured cars and dealers etc and be able to select your search by some highlighted featues, ie, search for colour of car only or type of car (saloon, 4×4, sports) etc

Your script etc miss run fast, we do not want any slow running performance issues with this website. Your pages produced must also be SEO friendly.

Please only bid if you feel 100% you have the ability to not only complete stage one of this project – but also be able to work to the tight deadline and also tight budget.
