I’m looking to develop a resume writing service website + web application that includes a built-in customer area. The new website would provide users with the ability to select from multiple writing packages (listed on the Home Page) and be directed to a customer area upon successful order completion, where they would then communicate with their writer directly.

WEB APPLICATION

This customer / writer area would serve three or four functions:

A) Customer-side: Once in the customer area, the user would be taken through a simple 3-step process: 1) filing out a questionnaire 2) uploading their resume or other career documents for review by the assigned writer and 3) receiving a confirmation that their questionnaire and resume documents have been successfully received.

B) Administrator-side: I would like to receive notification that an order has been placed and that a writing ‘job’ needs to be assigned to a writer. I would need the ability to then assign the job to a particular writer (or this could be done automatically), who would then need to “Accept” the job. Their acceptance of the job would remove it from the queue and add it to their ‘projects list’ for completion. That would then trigger an email to the customer that their resume has been assigned to a certain writer and is in progress. If, for some reason, the writer has to return the job, I would like the ability to reassign it.

C) Writer Access: The writer would be able to Apply for a position as a writer through a Careers page, submit a resume, and receive a confirmation email with instructions to access a secure page on the site with training videos and material. Once they have completed viewing the training materials, they would click a button on that page allowing them to take a 2-part test. Upon successful completion of the multiple choice examination, they would submit a sample resume for me to review. Once they have completed the test and sent the sample resume, they would be shown a confirmation page and receive an email with next steps.

I could then decide to hire them and create a ‘writer’ account for them in the system, which would allow them to accept projects and view statements of their work and earnings. At the end of a pay period, I would need the ability to generate a report of work performed by all the writers and issue payments.

D) ***Optional*** Customer Support: There could be an area where customers can complete a form with an inquiry or support issue from the Contact Page. I could potentially see a list of customer messages and reply from within the website or assign this task to a secondary administrator.
