My website carartshowroom.com was never completed and needs to be fixed and finished. The site is a multi vendor website for Automobile artists and photographers. It’s suppose to be similar in style to an etsy.com which for the most part it is, it’s just clunky and needs updating.

Also some known issues are:
1- When a user registers, an email gets sent but goes into spam. This
never was issue before but it happens on gmail, hotmail, yahoo on
accounts I tested. Can this be fixed?

2. Under Admin section – Admin Costs
There is a line for Sale Fee. That is suppose to work as a
“percentage” of a sale. Example – If a buyer bought something from a
seller at $30 and I have this set at 10%, I should get $3. This $3
would then get sent to the member’s balance, see #6

3. During checkout if a buyer adds more than 1 item from the same
seller, the shipping costs raise. Example if an item is $30 and the
seller lists his shipping costs at $5, and I add 3 more items it lists
the shipping costs at $20. It should be only $5.

4. I think one issue that may arise with selling. Can it be limited to
when a buyer buys an item, you can only buy from “one” seller at a time? WHich would be easier with issue #3.

5. Under Album Management, in the user admin area, you can’t edit or
delete a album.

6. Under members_balance.php All seller’s balance’s need to be paid to
my paypal only.

There may be more that I am not aware of.

Using oscommerce, we need an option installed so a customer can add on an extra component within a product
eg
basic product costs $100
50 gram model costs extra $5
100 gram model costs extra $10

We have Multi Vendor Site based on Virtuemart 1.0.15 with a lot of different hacks.

Due to the many hacks there are a lot of different bugs which have to be solved. If the customer wants to buy products of one single vendor, then it is no problem. Everything is correct, shipping costs, fees for different payments methods and the confirmation e-mail are calculated and sent correctly.

But we have problems when the customers orders articles from more then one vendor. The shipping costs were calculated wrong, they have to splitted up to each of the indivudual order and not sum up the shipping costs, if there is only one big order for all articles.

The main problem is that at the checkout the order is not splitted up. The orders were splitted up after the order has been placed and the e-mails were sent. We implemented a method so that the customer only got one big e-mail with all information about the different vendors and ordered goods and also the shipping costs of each indivudual order (doesnt work 100 % correctly, but prework is done)

so namely this are the main tasks of this project

- rework checkout process to a real multi vendor system with independent shipping rates to each individual order
- modifiy shipping methods and payment methods (cash on delivery, bank transfer and paypal/credit card) to fit the requirements of a correct multi vendor checkout
- review the big order e-mail which is sent to the customer (meets the requirements of multi vendor not up to 100 %)
- rework coupon system (com_couponsystem) so that it also works with the multi vendor system (it should be possible create coupons with advanced criteria for example items from 100 to 500 –> 10

I’ve intergrated my clients exisiting website into WordPress and have installed the WP-Ecommerce plugin – (http://www.instinct.co.nz/)to sell her products.

Everything is setup and ready to go except she has a variety of shipping costs which vary depending on the amount of products + shipping destiniation.

I have the Gold Cart module installed and am using the latest version of wp-ecom 3.7.5 and the latest version of wordpress.

I have a web shop and the order total is rounded when VAT is calculated for sending to my customer.

I need the rounding taken out so that they get the figure unrounded.

So the total instead of being 13,528 would be 13,528.98

Perl and MySQL coding. Increase the speed of Mysql Queries

I have a site that functions (PERL), but using MySQL PERL DBI search FULLTEXT BOOLEAN is slow, some query’s words slower than others. Some query’s take 25 seconds to load a page. The same happens in phpMyAdmin with the same SQL statements.

I need help to increase the Query speed to the minimum possible.
I need to be able to achieve this with Shared hosting, (so any coding should have minimal impact on the host servers), using cPanel and phpMyAdmin.

I will require explanations of any changes and why they work faster.
The database in use at this time is about 1Mb, about 2Million rows), but it will need to be over 2gb of data once the code functions at full speed.

Any charges quoted must be full costs and complete to fix the slow queries. No extra charges are available. That is Full costs MUST be fully known and complete before any job is posted for me.

Data is poor quality e.g. For example not normalised, at this time and uses some REAL variables for BOOLEAN values.

We need an experienced PHP programmer to work for us for 6 months in our office in China (Wuhu, Anhui Province).

THE PROBLEM SCENARIO

UKTech University is a private university that teaches only computing, IT and related subjects. It is owned by a telecommunications company and was formerly a technical college mainly used for training company employees.

The university has aspirations to becoming a prestigious seat of learning. The parent company is wealthy and so it can afford to invest in state-of-the art ebusiness computing, telecommunications, teaching facilities and ecommerce website. The fees the university charges are higher than other universities. Its entrance requirements are also higher. Nevertheless, it is oversubscribed.

Currently the network manager is studying for a PhD but the research topic is in an area of computing unrelated to networking. The computing and networking staff tend to purchase off-the-shelf products. This means that the relevant university staff has limited in-depth knowledge and often resort to contacting their suppliers when a problem arises.

Geography

UKTech University is an educational establishment housed on a single campus in the UK. The university wishes to open a second campus situated 80km away on the site of a large new complex housing several office blocks. These will house many leading computer and IT companies. The site and the proposed new campus have the support of high-level politicians. In no small part is this due to the university’s chancellor being the wife of a cabinet minister.

Some issues

Some of the proposals being considered are as follows:

Project Description: Write sales letter/webpage targeting independent rental property owners, property management companies and apartment complexes.

Copy should persuade independent rental property owners, property management companies apartment complexes, to use OUR online application system.

Cost for independent rental property owners, property management companies apartment complexes is NOTHING. We will even build them a BRANDED (their logo etc.) web portal that allows them to list their available properties for FREE. The cost is paid by renters when they apply for a property ($3.95 per application.)

When an independent rental property owners, property management companies, apartment complexes USE our system they can also use our logo on all of their marketing material, business cards, etc.. This shows everybody their commitment to our environment, and their willingness to do their part.

We will list them on our website. we will link to their website (which helps them build their google page rank, and increase online exposure) we will also list their properties on our website

Work will be a ‘work for hire’ under united states copyright law. We will own any copy that you submit to us.

Copy should also include relevant pictures and be submitted in HTML format. (somewhat similar to http://googlecash.com) However there will be other links and pages on our website.

Word count for this project should be 2000 words. Please submit 2 copies (note: this will also be used as an email. ) Wording can be the EXACT same just condensed ( 500 words )

So (1) long version (2000 words) , and (1) short version (500 words), but they can use the SAME copy.
