Terms

Due to unsuccessful relationships with past freelancers the following are the rules that I use to work with contractors.

1. All projects are done on a full payment at the end of the job
2. All projects are to be priced on a finished product basis
3. No payment if the work goes past its due date
a. If I am late with information for the contractor a 2 day extension per late day is granted on the project
b. If the contractor is responding quickly on updates and the updates accurately represent the changes asked for and the project is taking longer than expected additional time will be granted (this is at my discretion)
4. If the contractor has additional ideas for the work being done additional moneys are available for this extra effort

If the project is done on a timely basis and is done well I have always paid above the asking price. This I hope will affect the decision made by the company regarding your next quote.

I am not impressed by taking longer to make it look good so fast is best I am happiest when I feel you have had a good experience as well.

We are looking to develop a site similar to angieslist-dot-com.

The idea is to market this to a niche market and seek contractor listings. Site should have ample advertising space and revenue management feature similar to an affiliate sites.

All site visitors will have free access to the site. To offer feedback, you will need to register.

All contractors who wish to be listed in the respective category. i.e. say landscaper… will have to register and make a profile and enter their skills, strengths and weakenesses, etc. See above site for more details.

Site design is currently in progress. Concept is still be fine tuned. Estimated date for site design to be completed is Sept 20th. You will be provided a PSD for entire site. Site will be launched by Dec 15th. Security is prime concern.

Bids are invited from qualified programmers and developers who are comfortable with such projects. Please provide bid amount, timeline and what makes your different from others. Show us sites you have done that are similar to this, not a generic list of all sites you have done. Thank you.

The Clients will put up a service they want done. Contractors will be matched up with the clients according to there zip code and surrounding zip codes at a distance chosen.
The contractors will then bid on the service being asked of. In which the client will pick the best option for them.
Every time there is a project posted there will be an email sent to the contractor and every time a bid is put in for the service the client will be sent an email.
The client will have it up for 60 days. in which he must pick a contractor. He can pick a contractor before as well.

I am a new Service Magic affiliate. I want a simple banner form to put on my site where the user can input their zip code (or it can be put in automatically) and select the contractor type to perform a search using the Service Magic site. The Service Magic site is to open in a new window with the information the user put in from our form.

We would like to build a contractor management system with the following features:

1- Contractor database: includes all information about every contractor. We will provide information about which fields.

2- Contractor Interface: Username/Password protected interface for every contractor to create and modify their account information and upload resumes, files etc.

3- Project Manager Interface: Username/Password protected interface for project managers with the permission to search contractors based on skill sets, rates, etc.

3a- Email: Ability to select a subset of a search result and open an email form with a subject line and send it to those selected contractors.

3b- Contractor Account Management: Ability for project manager to create, update, delete contractor accounts.

3c- Reporting (optional)

3d- File management (optional): transfer of files to/from individual contractors.

4- Administrator Interface: username/password protected interface that will allow permission management, system backup, update, branding changes etc.

We would like this system to be based on PHP, MySQL 5, Apache. We will probably host this with Bluehost so it is important that the system should work on that. Moreover, we would like the coding to be clean and well documented for easy future support. We will own the code.

We are flexible with our timelines but will need to lock it down with our supplier.

Joomla Job Site With Cf/cc/cb

We are almost finished with a Joomla Website using chronoforms and ChronoConnectivity and we need some help working out a few kinks. We would need this work done A.S.A.P. (As Soon As Possible).

We would also need someone with a strong internet connection and excellent communication to ensure that this project is getting done in a timely manner.

The site is a Job Website that will allow people to post jobs and others to post resumes and have each group search them out. However we need to charge a fee for the employers of the website to post a job available. A lot of the website and its forms are done already however we are stuck in a few areas and need some help getting this done.

1. The site is separated into 2 groups, Contractors and Health Care Providers and when either registers they are automatically put into that group using a Component called AEC. When in the admin, we would like to see it actually say…. Contractor if a contractor signs up and Provider if a Health Care Provider signs up. Not Registered and Special like it normally would in a joomla site.

CONTRACTOR – When a Contractor Posts a Resume, we need it to go into a database and just like a job site have only some of the information shown to group called PROVIDER searching that info. The Provider, who has submitted a job, would need to PAY to see the blocked information. We would also need to create a way for the CONTRACTOR to apply for any given job posted.

PROVIDER – When a Providers posts a job, we need it to go into a database just like above only the contractor, when searching the site, is not restricted in anyway as far as searching. The Contractor can search out jobs on our website just like any other job site.

We are using Chronoforms to make SPECIFIC Registration forms to register either a provider or contractor on the site. Two different forms are used so we cannot have the same registration page for both.

2. We would like our users to feel secure when registering and purchasing on our site so when they register and log in we need it to be https://. We have purchased an SSL but we are unsure how to set this up through Joomla/Chronoforms with out getting errors.

3. Connecting it all together – We would need a seamless back end admin that is easy to use and figure out or explain to others so that we can effectively manage the contractors and the providers. We would need something with ChronoConectivity to show each one with what they submitted.

4. Creating a ‘my account’ type page – We have installed and started to use CB Community Builder to make an account page for people to use. We want people to be able to manage thier account online and to change the info they submitted.

This project is VERY time sensetive and we would need this done As Soon As Possible with out cutting corners or rushing through it.

Brief Description:
The requirement is to have an email enquiry management system. The component will be an administrator based Joomla component written in native Joomla 1.5 format. The component is to be written using modern MVC Joomla component methods and delivered as a complete Joomla installable component (e.g. tarball or zip). The component must perform many functions including the reading, validating, reformatting, distribution and management of email enquiries.

The component will need to read emails from pre-defined pop3/imap mailboxes as they arrive or frequently and then process each one.

For each email the following 4 steps should be taken

1. Validation stage 1
2. Reformatting
3. Validation stage 2
4. Distribution

If the process fails at any point, the information should be saved to the DB and marked for manual intervention. If the process fails at any point, an email should also be sent to the administrator’s email address telling them to log in and manage the problem. A user will then log into the admin interface and manually manage any emails that failed the above process.

When a customer fills out a form to request a bid they
also choose the category — such as “Roofer” once the
customer presses the SUBMIT A BID REQUEst a copy goes to
our email address AND AN ONLINE DATABASE THAT SAVES
INFORMATION. at the same time this Bid request goes to
all ROOFERS EMAIL ADDRESSES or whatever category the

customer selected. This email will only go to the local
area roofers. For example a San Diego request would not
go to a PORTLAND ROOFER. ALSO the Original Bid Request is
stripped of any contact information when it goes out to
Roofer – only has job request information, and when they
want it done etc.

THIS BID REQUEST goes to all the email addresses of all
our registered roofers in the area requested – Instantly
The email the roofer receives says – You have just
received a bid request from “MARY” from “Portland” for a
new roof — to purchase this lead for $39.95 CLICK and
PAY PAL here….

———– Now this is where I am confused – Once the
Roofer pays for this EXACT Bid from lets say MARY in
Portland – How do we automatically – give him the remaining
contact information for Mary, like the full original bid
request – including her name and phone number and
address? After we know he has paid.

All this happens automatically

1. Mary in Portland Requests Bid for roof and selects
“Roofer category” presses SUBMIT

2. Marys Request for Bid goes to all our registered
Roofers in PORTLAND – but Marys last name, physical
address and any contact information is not on the bid
that is emailed to roofer. Only details on the job she
requested a bid for.

3. Lets say 27 registered Roofers in our web site in
Portland Automatically receive this Bid for Marys Bid by
email.

4. The email has a standard top that goes to any
contractor roofer, plumber, etc. It says something to the
effect You have just received a BID Request for a “ROOF”
from “Mary” in “Portland”
to purchase the HOT lead click here and pay PAY PAL and
you will receive the Full details on this BID request”

5. Contractor pays PayPal and Now we need to give him
instantly the Original Full Information Bid from Mary
including all contact details.

Skilled PHP/MySQL/AJAX developer needed for development of multi-user web-based CRM/CMS application. Full documentation on the system exists, and will be shared during the interview process. A description of the project:

* Three user groups: Admins, Clients, Contractors
* Website tracks Clients and Contractors through business processes from “Lead” states through “Active Users.”
* Website contains modules for:

1. tracking Clients through statuses from lead to active
2. tracking Contractors through statuses from lead to active
3. Interactions (called “Sessions”) between clients, contractors and admins, and provides for email notifications to be sent to users when tasks are accomplished
4. Tracks billing and payroll calculations resulting from business activities, and exports to accounting software.
5. Allows admins to filter data and generate reports used in daily business operations.
6. Webforms linked to marketing website allow client and contractor leads to enter information into system by applying. The contractor webform exists and is live.

Status of project:

* MySQL database is largely built by prior developer. Some mods may need to be made (fields added, etc), but structure has been completed.
* One module is 60% built in JAVA based languages. This partially built module can be used as a guide to rebuild first module, as structure of module is sound.
* Contractor webform (the more complicated form of the two) is built in JAVA based code, and is live on the site now. This will be replaced by new webform, but it can be used as a guide to develop the new form.

We have very detailed estimates that this project will take approximately 300 hours to complete. Please use this for initial estimate purposes, we can fine tune the estimate during interview and discovery process.

We are looking to run the project on a fixed bid-per-module (or group of features) basis.

We want to start the project by April 5, and have a target date for completion of June 15.
Developer must be interested in servicing/maintaining the website for at least 6 months from live release on a fixed rate basis.
