Configuring Joomsef Component

March 6th, 2010 Comments off

I was using joomla coreSEF and now i have switched to joomSEF.
Now i want to 301 redirect the old URLs to the new ones. Example:

OLD URL
http://www.znanost.com/razno-iz-znanosti/hrvatska-u-znanosti/858-nova-nagrada-prof-ivanu-ikiu
NEW URL
www.znanost.com/hrvatska-u-znanosti/nova…da-prof-ivanu-dikicu

I have “Redirect nonSEF URLs to SEF?” turned on in the configuration, but its not working for some reason and i dont want to add a redirection for each of 300+ URLs manualy.

I also want to remove ALL duplicate URLs to avoid google penalities, there should be no duplicate URLs pointing to the same content upon completion of this project.

Configuring Amember On Site

June 25th, 2009 Comments off

Hi,

I am about to launch a password-protected membership site, and have recently purchased and installed Amember Pro.

Basically, I’m not good with this technical stuff and all the user guides are basically speaking Martian to me.

I know what I want, I just don’t know how to get it.

I’m looking for someone with fairly EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE with amember to set up what I want, and show me exactly how he did it, so at a later date, I can go in and change some things as I need it.

I’m running a site teaching language online, and each class page is sitting in a different sub-directory under the main directory, “classes.” What I want is this…

1) My user to register for my 20-day free trial. After he registers, he’ll make his own username and password, then he’ll be emailed the link to the first class. Now, it’s important that the user name only has access to that first class for 20 days. Then,…

2) Every five days, a link to a new class will be emailed to him. He should only have access to that class for 20 days as well (basically, he should only ever have access to a particular class for 20 days, which means he’ll only have access to four classes at a time – once the 5th class comes out, access to the 1st class will be gone)

3)If the user doesn’t cancel his subscription, and is emailed the 5th class, his card will be charged for the month. Then,…

4)That process should just continue until the classes run out – which will be at about six or seven months (I haven’t decided yet) – he gets charged every month (or 30 days) as long as he doesn’t unsubscribe, and he’ll have access to each class for only 20 days.

Hopefully that’s clear enough. If you have any questions, please ask. Once again, I’d like only programmers with experience with Amember.

Website Configuring

June 18th, 2009 Comments off

see www.jdphoto.co.uk

I wrote this website myself, and i am no expert – but it needs a little work. It’s important that whoever does the work, leaves the site in a state that i can continue to edit easily myself, so nothing too complicated.

1) It all looks Ok with explorer, but Mozilla doesn’t align things correctly, such as the menu bar at the top, and the scaling of the flash header. So the site needs checking and fixing in ALL browsers. I can see at least 10 different things myself.

2) photomask price calculator page. I need this redesigning , maybe with dhtml. I want just the first field visible, and depending upon the user selection a second field appears, then third, fourth etc. This workflow will be through the entire form. I can provide a workflow for this.

3) Price calculator page. When the user is happy with the price given on the calculator, i want a button adding to the bottom which directs to the existing order page form and pre-fills out certain field values (probably 6 or 7 values) depending upon the values chosen in the calculator.

4) Mask Order Form

Lg E-learning Website

May 13th, 2009 Comments off

Dev.1
System name: LG e-learning.
LG System will be run off a web hosting server. In other words it will be a website that facilitates e-learning. LG in it’s simplest form is just a quiz-like interactive learning software. LG asks a question and user responses. The asking and responses are done in a number of possible formats: text, graphical, video (not in Dev.1), or voice. If the response is voice (it’s established beforehand what kind of response to expect) LG will record it for a specified and limited amount of time.

Dev.1 will consist of two main parts: a. Student sub-system and b. Teacher sub-system. Opening screen will have two-buttons:

Configuring Helios Calendar

April 4th, 2009 Comments off

We have a licence for Helios Calendar and have changed the look a bit. We need Would like to move the RSS feed to bottom left, Billboard to middle left and Most Popular to Bottom right. We would then like to change the wording slightly and increase the size of the mini cal. Lastly we would like 3 or 4 links and we would like a text box down the righthand side that picks up a text file.

Not in this quote. If this works OK we will then look at getting the Google map working and adjusting the layout of the other pages. We might upgrade to the developers edition.

If you have questions please ask.
