Upgrade Site From Joomla 1.0 To Joomla 1.7

January 28th, 2012 Comments off

A client’s website needs to be upgraded from Joomla 1.0 to Joomla 1.7. The site contains many modules and components which may not exist anymore. If the modules or components do not exist anymore, those modules and components need to be replaced with something current, and the data migrated over into the new components.

The biggest one of these is a forum component which no longer exists, so a new forum component will need to be found and the existing forum posts will have to be migrated in…

PART TWO
Delete unnecessary menu components and sample data leftover from Joomla 1.7 install.

PART THREE
Install and configure:
(a) Kunena + slight template modification
(b) SobiPro + slight modification to template may be necessary
(c) JEvents + slight modification to template may be necessary
(d) Ultimate Feed Display
(e) GlobeWeather

Joomla Component Upgrades

August 23rd, 2011 Comments off

Multiple VideoWhisper.com video conferencing applications are available as Joomla Components.
Most advanced is http://www.videowhisper.com/?p=Joomla-Video-Consultation-Component .

REQUIREMENTS

1. Need some other components upgraded to include the frontend room creation functionality available in this component.

Frontend room creation works this way:
I. Joomla admins can define some room templates in backend.
II. For each template multiple permissions can be configured, by users groups, including Joomsocial groups. (ie. Buzz: Admins, Paid Members)
III. Frontend users can create new rooms from certain templates depending on template permissions.

All php source code for existing components is available under GPL. Also VideoWhisper staff can provide assistance with the flash application calls in case needed.

+ These components need to be upgraded to include frontend room creation capabilities:
http://www.videowhisper.com/?p=Joomla-2-Way-Video-Chat-Component
http://www.videowhisper.com/?p=Joomla-Video-Conference

+ Also this simple component that currently uses user names as room names must be upgraded to include room creation abilities as for the others:
http://www.videowhisper.com/?p=Joomla-Live-Streaming

Developer can also implement these from scratch starting from the latest PHP editions (could be easier to combine that with framework from Video Consultation component).

2. New components and modules need to be compatible with and run on Joomla 1.6 and Joomla 1.7 .

3. Will need few extra component settings and also parameters/permissions added for each room type (ie. disableUploadDetection 1=Yes/0=No). These will be stored for each room and passed to flash application as the rest of existing parameters. Will provide these on PMB for each when rest is done.

PROJECT TERMS
Communication will be done via PMB.
A compatible hosting account will be provided to upload progress.
Progress updates should be uploaded and reported at least 2 times per week, since start.
Bid with realistic durations and include some extra time to make sure you can do it within the time frame. Cancellation will be required if project is not ready within bid time frame.

PAYMENT
All amount will be escrow on project start and will be released when everything is done, functional, delivered as in project requirements.

Mid Size Joomla Clone Script Project

July 11th, 2011 Comments off

Hi,

I have a project based on joomla. It requires several database bridges to various non-joomla components such as x-cart and some other non-joomla based other clone scripts.

I have 10~20 components that require templating, all of which follow the main joomla template. components that require templating such as jomsocial, joombah jobs, K2 components just to name a few. most of which psd are done.

Custom components such as payment gateways and URL redirection script sum up to 5~10.

Custom modules such as ajax menus with tooltips sum up to approximately 30~40 modules. some require more coding. most is templating.

The number of required customization of components, modules and templating them are on very close approximation, in case I may miscounted a small number of it.

in summary, I have the components, scripts and some modules, templates in psd. I require it to be a fully working website, by customizing, editing and creating some components, modules and small scripts, and uploaded to my vps by the end of the project for launch.

Please provide me with a quote, on price and time required to complete the project, based on these information.

also provide me with your portfolio if any. My previous freelance from another site was a disaster.

Joomla Fix 2

June 7th, 2011 Comments off

We are currently going back to our Joomla CMS, which has all of our client records in it. At one time we used the Joomla for front-end and back-end management. Now I just want to use Joomla as a product delivery for clients. We deliver a newsletter service that allows clients to sign in and see the newsletters on the site as well. We also deliver digital content like videos and ebooks through the subscription set-up.

Below you will find a list of the components that are involved in the set-up. They are supposed to work together to deliver newsletters, manage content, manage payment, manage logins and manage expiration dates.

When the components were upgraded to newer versions the connection between them got messed up. The connection problem that is messed up is between Community Builder and the other components. When a record is updated in Community Builder it is supposed to update in the other components but it isn’t updating.

Components Involved:

Joomla Site Upgrades And Tweaks To Custom Components

April 13th, 2011 Comments off

Dear developers and project managers.

Thanks for taking a look at another one of our projects.

We have a nice simple e-learning website which is built on Joomla with some custom components.

We have some minor changes, amendments and bug fixes we need made to our site. This will involve modifying existing PHP code within the Joomla environment and making modifications to the MySQL database.

A summary of the required changes are:

1. Modifying some links within the website which are not working

2. Modifying which article is displayed first to clients after logging in.

3. Modifying some simple multiple-choice quizzes to remain visible on the page after completion (this may require some modification to the database tables).

4. Minor modification to what details are stored in the database from enrolling customers.

5. Test and confirm readiness of credit-card payment system and integration with payment gateway.

6. Repair functionality of the discount code system.

7. Minor stylesheet changes

I can confirm that this will be a quick and easy job for a person who is adept with Joomla.

As you will see from our feedback we are a great client to work with who will go to no end to make sure you have all the tools, access and information you need to create great results. We pay well and we pay promptly. Extra initiative and effort is always rewarded.

Full and further details will be provided in PMB to those who wish to learn more.

As2 To As3 Conversion

February 13th, 2010 Comments off

Hello,
I have a project that works well in AS2. The Flash Application uses UI Components to allow users to make a selection from a variety of criteria and press a calculate button. Based upon the result an image or swf is returned to a movie clip in the display area of the app.

Now, I want to have the same functionality but programmed in AS3 using AS3 UI Components.

This should be a quick project. The AS2 version works perfectly. Most of the coding is repetition based on if / else if statements. Main issue is converting to AS3 UI Components.

In a rush. Thanks

Template Change On Large Joom

December 20th, 2009 Comments off

My client has a very large Joomla 1.0.12 website (many pages and components). I have created a new design template for the site but do not have time to install and verify all of the menus, components, modules and page content. I need an experienced Joomla programmer to install the theme, get menus looking like my custom design concept, and make sure all components, modules and page content looks like it’s supposed to.

Joomla site features the following components and modules:

– AEC Subscription Manager
– VirtueMart
– Seyret
– JACLPlus
– swMenuPro

Design will also feature custom CSS menus, hidden/visible module positions (box1, box2, box3 in link below), and some modules will need to be modified to match the design template. I will supply design template in HTML/CSS format. Template design is attached.

Design template HTML/CSS minus menus can be seen here:
http://www.newmedia3.com/clients/wtt/

The website must be available to users during this transition period. So site data must be backed up and worked on a separate hosting account.

Custom Magento Product Type

December 14th, 2009 Comments off

I am currently working on a project where by a customer should be able to pick a computer from the store to purchase and be presented with a list of components to add (just like a configurable or bundle product) however I want there to be a limit to how many components they choose.

So for example user picks Computer #1 and should only be able to choose a maximum of 10 components to add to the machine even though there is a list of say 20 items.

Once the user has selected say 3 hard drives, 2 monitors, 1 keyboard, 1 mouse, 2 gfx cards, 1 sound card then they would not be able to choose any more items from the list.

I think this needs its own custom product type. If someone can do this please bid on the project. If you have no previous experience with Magento please do not bid.

Modify WordPress Theme.

August 19th, 2009 Comments off

The site would need to be completed by Monday at the absolute latest. I’m willing to pay $150-200 for it.

I’m looking for someone who can modify a preexisting WordPress template by customizing the layout/appearance slightly and adding some functionality. My goal is to create a website for a residential group within a university that would at its core be a news blog but would also offer students other useful utilities and some very limited social networking functionality. The theme that I’m thinking about customizing can be found here: http://themeforest.net/item/imperial/47783 I think it does most of the news/blog functions well, so it wouldn’t require much manipulation in that department. Here are the changes/additions I would like to make to the theme.

1. I would like to alter the white version of the theme somewhat since I think it looks just a little bit crowded in places, and I would like to have a white site with green as an accent color.

2. Users would be able to create accounts which allow them to post comments, photos, videos, and add events to a calendar. They would also have profiles that would contain certain information about them. They would also have the ability to send messages. I think this could potentially be done using BuddyPress without too much difficulty.

3. I would like an events calendar that users can upload content to (and if it’s not too difficult, these events would have the ability to be linked to news stories and/or picture galleries)

4. Users would be able create/join groups and create events for that group that would go into the calendar.

5. Administrator accounts could add new stories and edit other site content.

——————————————————————————–
Additional Info (Added 8/16/2009 at 2:03 EST)…
Overall Design
The site design and layout should be based upon the white/light version of the Imperial WordPress theme found here: http://themeforest.net/item/imperial/47783. I would like the following changes made to it in terms of overall design:

Green accent color (lime green)
Additional space – The three column layout creates a cluttered feeling that I’m hoping could be fixed by spacing things out more
Web 2.0 makeover – Any of the design characteristics of Web 2.0 sites (Web 2.0 buttons, rounded edges, Web 2.0 icons) that can be added would be great.
Switch the nav bar to be bellow the page header. (I will give you materials for a new header later today)

Left Column
Here are the components I would like in the left column.

Top Stories Display – The current display that is in the top left is okay, but I would prefer if you could change it so that the story descriptions on the right of the picture moved underneath the picture so that it only takes up one column.
Blog/News Posts – These don’t necessarily need any design changes. However, if it is possible to make so that when people click “Read More,” the additional text is displayed on that same page without opening to a new page. I guess this would require Ajax or something like that. If that could be done for comments as well, that would be outstanding.
Center Column
Here are the components I would like in the center column. I would like to have areas in this column that display the following information in the following order from top to bottom:

Upcoming calendar events
Sports scores
Recently uploaded media (Photos, Videos, Music)
Right Column
Here are the components I would like in the right column. I would like to have areas in this column that display the following information in the following order from top to bottom:

Login box for users
Icons for RSS, Pictures, Video, Music, and Facebook
Recent posts
Recent comments
Categories
That’s pretty much it for the layout of the site. If you can think of a way to have all of that content in a two column site, that would be awesome, but it may not be feasible. I will send you more information later tonight about what exactly I would like in terms of functionality for user accounts, permissions, etc.

Okay, as far as the user accounts go, I don’t think they should be too difficult to set up, but I’m not completely sure since I’ve never done it before. One of my friends has done similar things, and his programing/web design skills aren’t much better than mine, so I’m sure it wouldn’t be too difficult for you.

Site Registration

In the login box on the home page, there would be a link to register for the site.
Only users with an e*mail address yale.edu or fenrirsden.com would be able to sign up. Like Facebook, a confirmation e*mail would be sent to that address containing a link to activate the account.
During the registration process, users would give provide certain information. Fields marked with an * would be required. Ideally, users would be able to edit this information at a later date if they wanted to.

First name *

Last name *

Phone number *
Room (entered as a capital letter followed by either a one or two digit number) *

Birthday *
Interests
Clubs and Organizations
Profile Photo
User Accounts

Non-registered visitors to the site would be able to view the home page, the multimedia page, the calendar page, and any static pages on the site. They would not be able to able to upload any content, post anything, or comment on anything.
Registered users would be able to log in and be able to to the following things:
View their profile page and the profile page of others (these pages would display the information entered during the registration process)
Send messages to other users and check their inbox for messages that they have received.
Add events to the calendar
Comment on blog/news posts
Moderators would have all the abilities of regular registered users and the following additional abilities:
Post/edit blog posts
Edit uploaded media
Edit calendar events
Delete comments
The master account would have the abilities of registered users and moderators as well as the following additional abilities:
Control whether users are simply regular users or moderators.
Make edits to the static areas of the site.

Here’s a description of some of the site components. In addition to the home page, there would be the following links on the nav bar.

Info
This should basically be a blank page which the master account can add text and pictures to.

Multimedia
This page should have separate sections for pictures, videos, and music. Pictures should be able to be organized into galleries. Also, users should be able to upload content to these pages and comment on them. The recent uploads to the multimedia section would appear in an area on the home page.

Events
This should contain a list of events having on specific days. The events should have a title, a category of the event, a time, a location, and a brief description. Users should be able to upload these events. A list of upcoming events would appear in an area on the home page. Hopefully, events would be able to link to pictures/video/music from the event and news article about the event.

Intramural Results
This section should list upcoming contests and the results of past contests. Hopefully, these contests would be able be able to appear in the events section as well. Users would be able to upload content here by adding it to the events section and then clicking an option that said “Intramural.” Only moderators would be able to add the results of the contests. A list of contest results would appear in an area on the home page.

File Hosting + Torrent Proxy

August 14th, 2009 Comments off

I need a custom file hosting script that allows users to have virtual drives which mimic the look windows operating system (i.e.: http://www.4shared.com/dir/1567809/8fff9481/clone.html). Must support username/password authentication features, and other permissions should be able to be set by users.

Must also incorporate a torrent client proxy (allowing users to submit .torrent urls or upload .torrent files from their desktop) and OUR server will download them, and when the download is complete we will provide the user with an http download link from our server.

Must also handle the in-browser viewing of specific types of files in different ways: i.e.: pdf files should be viewable in-browser similarly to www.docshare.com, .doc files should have a similar viewing mechanism, movies should play in browser.

Please read on if you are capable of creating a scalable high-usage and distributed file sharing back-end.

Requirements Interview Answers:
To help you bid more accurately, the buyer was interviewed about the requirements for this project. Below are their answers.
Project Type: What kind of work do you need done?
Software related (Includes desktop applications and internet websites)
Project Parts: What do you want the seller to do on this project?

Requirements: The seller will analyze the problem and propose a software-based solution to the problem.
Programming: The programmer will take the requirements and translate them into the language of the computer (and test it).
User installation: The installer will move the software from the place it was created (which is called the development or QC environment) to where you will use it (which is called the production environment). The installer then tests the software to make sure that the installation was done properly and completely.
Req. Doc. Type: What kind of documentation do you want for this project?
Formal documentation – After talking back and forth, the seller creates a formal document and/or prototype, as follows:

* Prototype: The analyst will create a non-working mockup of all pages/screens in the final software. Creating a prototype makes it easier for the user to visualize the final software, and reduces misunderstandings.
* Requirements Document: The analyst will create a document describing everything the final software will do (other than what is documented in the prototype…if the buyer required one).

Program Type: What kind of software should the seller create (and/or install)?

* An internet web-site: This software runs on a web server and users will access it using their internet browser.
* A desktop or server program: This software runs on a user’s own PC/workstation, or on a server.

Internet web-site info
Design and functionality: What does the programming of this project involve?

* Design: Create the layout of the pages (or modify the layout of existing pages).
* Program Functionality: Making the website “work”.

Modeling another site: Do you wish to model another site? Yes: file sharing web site similar to http://www.4shared.com
*virtual drive (http://www.4shared.com/dir/1567809/8fff9481/clone.html)
*ad placements, multiple pages shown before getting to download page

torrent client proxy feature of http://www.furk.net

in-browser viewing capabilities similar to:

documents
http://www.docshare.com/doc/15765/The-13-Hottest-Celebrity-Mugshots

movies – http://www.zshare.net/video/621059774a393bc1/
–ability to have server also convert .mov/.avi uploads to flv on the fly and stream

pictures/photo albums – http://media.photobucket.com/image/color%20splash/findstuff22/Best%20Images/Photography/colorsplashthumb222edit.jpg?o=1

.zip – have the ability for a user to unzip a .zip file in their virtual drive (if they have enough resources available based on what account type they have)
Size of website: How many pages need to be created/edited in this website?
Approximately 13.
Programming Language: What programming language(s) do you want your website written in?
I do know the language(s).
Languages(s):

* Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
* PHP

Misc. details: Would like to have desktop uploader programmed in Java for cross-platform compatibility beween PC and Mac users.

Database: Will this project include a database?
Yes, it does include a database.
Details:

* MySQL — version(s): 5.x

Browser Type(s)/Version(s): Which browser/version combinations must this website support?

* IE 7.0
* IE 6.0
* Firefox 3.0
* Firefox 2.0-2.x
* Firefox 1.5
* Safari 41
* Firefox 1.0

Server Hosting Environment: What is your server hosting environment?
I have a server at a 3rd party hosting company.
The name of the hosting company is: Voxel.net
The server’s shared/dedicated status is: Dedicated just to me.

Component Compatibility Protection:
Sometimes a programmer may create features on the website that rely on componentswhich work fine on their own server, but won’t work with your 3rd party hosting company’s server. There are many reasons for this including version incompatibility, restricted permissions, etc… Rent A Coder normally requires that the programmer verify in advance that your 3rd party hosting provider will support the components. If they do not, then they are responsible for any incompatibilities, rather than you. Do you want this protection on your project?
No, I will be responsible for any components of the final solution that do not work with my hosting company.
Server Hosting Environment: Will the coder develop “live” on your server?
No. The programmer is responsible for creating their own development and/or qc environment.
Physical installation: Who will perform the physical installation?
The programmer will perform the physical installation, and will be given all necessary permissions to do so.
Desktop / server program info
Size of application: How many screens/forms need to be created/edited in this application?
Approximately 3-5.
Programming Language: What programming language(s) do you want your application written in?
I do know the language(s).
Languages(s):

* Java

Misc. details: Would like Mac and PC versions of upload app, that’s why I have chosen Java for cross-compatibility (clone of)
http://www.4shared.com/uploader/

Operating system(s) What operating systems(s) do you want your application to work on?
I do know the operating system(s):
# Microsoft Windows — version(s): XP, Vista, 7
# Macintosh — version(s): 9, OS X
Database: Will this project include a database?
No, it does not include a database.
Installation Program: Does the programmer need to create an installation program?
Yes AND the program will be installed on only a single computer.
Legal: 1) I require complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done (so that I may modify it in the future).
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
2a) Any website server-side deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer’s environment.
2b) If there are any server-side deliverables (intended to only exist in one place in the Buyer’s environment) then they must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition (unless specified elsewhere by the Buyer).
2c) All other software (including but not limited to any desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute) must include a software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request (unless specified elsewhere by the Buyer).
3) All deliverables will be considered “work made for hire” under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
3b) No part of the deliverable may contain any copyright restricted 3rd party components (including GPL, GNU, Copyleft, etc.) unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the seller’s Seller Legal Agreement.
Other Requirements:
File Hosting script that allows users to have virtual folders which mimic the windows operating system (i.e.: http://www.4shared.com/dir/1567809/8fff9481/clone.html). Must support username/password authentication features, and other permissions should be able to be set by users.

*virus scanning feature*
integration of http://www.kaspersky.com/anti-virus_linux_file_server – automated for all premium paid users – free users have “insecure” virtual drives

–Ability to upload files from desktop computer, remote url, or torrent.
*1 file or multiple file upload options
-Javascript & AJAX based uploader and file manager
*ability to tag uploads with relevant keywords
*Virtual Drive Privacy*
User will have the ability to toggle entire folders and individual files are private or publicly viewable
i.e.: ourdomainname.com/username and username.ourdomainname.com will display the user’s publicly viewable files.
*Photo album folders*
–users will be able to assign passwords to directories and files
Ability for users to upload photos and create photo albums

*in frame playback*
music files should play in browser
movie files should play in browser
flash files should play in browser

*search feature*
ability to have homepage search box that will search uploaded files which are toggled for public viewing by users and show results based on file name and tag matches
-ability to do advanced search and select/filter different file types to give results for
-thumbnails for image results, zip folder icon for .zip matches, file icon for .exe matches, etc.

Different classes of users – free vs. paid and bandwidth throttling depending on class of user.
–Need the ability to track user’s bandwidth usage and limit resources (maximum file storage space, etc.)
–PayPal integration for automatic account creation and resource allocation

* Torrent proxy feature* (similar to www.furk.net)- allow users to submit .torrent urls or upload a .torrent file from their desktop from all major trackers (i.e.: http://isohunt.com/download/105241149/debian.torrent) at which point, OUR server will act as a torrent client, and download the torrented file that the user requests, and once it is finished, place it in their virtual drive for http download. The user will also be shown the status of the download with an avg k/s meter and a completion meter.

*File caching*
torrent downloads will be cached with an expiry of a definable number of days (i.e.: 30 days) – when a user downloads a torrented file to OUR servers it will be deleted in 30 days, unless another user requests the exact same .torrent download (MD5 checksum, maybe?), then the 30 day expiration starts over.

If the torrent has already been downloaded by another user, and the files are still active in our cache of recently downloaded files, then the user should be able to directly download the files without waiting. If the files are not currently available, the .torrent is moved into a queue of torrents to be downloaded by our torrenting cluster (if the same .torrent is not already in the queue from another user). Our torrenting cluster will then download the files, and upon completion, will import them into our mogilefs file system, while also updating the database accordingly so that it knows what files are associated with the downloaded torrent, and so it knows where to get those files and that they are available.

MogileFS functions best with chunks of data under 64GB, so we must segment files for scalability.

*1 IP download links*
Torrented files will be in a special folder in the user’s virtual drive which can only be viewed by the user when logged in. i.e.: to prevent users from sharing links to files in the torrent directory, they must be logged in to get the download links – and to prevent users from sharing download links – only the IP address of the logged in user that generates a link in THAT specific instance will be able to download from that link using their web browser or download manager.

*Virtual Drive Privacy*
User will have the ability to toggle entire folders and individual files are private or publicly viewable

i.e.: ourdomainname.com/username and username.ourdomainname.com will display the user’s publicly viewable files.

*download multiple files as 1 zip file*
We want users to be able to download multiple files as one .zip file. We have a module for nginx programmed for us that can do this. Upon being supplied a list of files, their crc32′s, and other relevant information that we already have available, this module will create a zip file on the fly to stream to the end user, while also supporting resuming.

In order to finish this functionality, our script needs to let the user decide which files they want to include in their .zip archive they are downloading, and then pass the list of files off to the nginx zip manager when the user tries to download the .zip archive.

The user should be able to select which files to zip from their virtual drive interface.

*DMCA banning feature*
We will need to be able to ban individual .torrents, or individual actual files, in order to respond to DMCA complaints.

*scalability*
As we plan to be able to quickly support many servers, thousands of users, and many terabytes of files in a system that may or may not properly handle this, load testing and scaling testing will be needed before launch to identify our initial bottlenecks so that we can address them.

Joomla Components For Theater

August 7th, 2009 Comments off

Hi there,

Our theater is looking to build a new site in Joomla. We need to create a few custom components. The main component is for show pages. We need a place where we can input show titles, dates, descriptions, photos, etc. and have show pages created. We also have four image areas on our homepage that need components to upload and display the images, along with having a rollover state. Full details and mockups available. We’re planning on doing the theming ourselves, just need help with the component setup. Thanks!

Website Created Maybe Wordpres

July 9th, 2009 Comments off

I need a basic website created, possibly in wordpress.

The website should have the following components on one page:

Chat room
Live Broadcast Section
Banners that slide across or up
Area for aweber integration
An area for listing future events
and google adsense placement

Here is an example of a site that contains all of the above and I would just like these components on a fresher looking theme.

It doesn’t have to be on wordpress and the components should be free.

Please include a mock up(graphical representation) of the site you will build with your bid, keeping in mind this will be used for a church group organization.

On approval this project will start quickly.
On successful completion there will be more work based on this style theme.

Thank you for your time.

Please put “I got big blue tooth sticking out of my head” in your reply so I know you actually read this.

Upgrade Joomla Sites

July 3rd, 2009 Comments off

We have about 300 Joomla Sites that need to be backed up (both databases and scripts) and then upgraded to latest version of Joomla, plus upgrade components, install some additional components, organize passwords and such, remove Community Builder and install Joomla Social. You can see on of the sites here: gotraveltolasvegas

Many of these sites have been hacked but installing new Joomla version and making other minor changes fixes them. You can see some of the steps needed here in this video: http://jeradhill.com/joomla

We are looking to pay around $2 per site that is fixed and upgraded. So our budget is $600

We need someone who has A LOT of experience with Joomla to get everything in working order. Understands templates, components, et cetera and is able to work on this full time for the next three to four weeks.

Thanks!

Enlarged Checkbox

July 2nd, 2009 Comments off

I’m writng a web page to display on a PDA browser. I need to figure out how to make the checkbox square object [ ] larger than it is by default, so it renders larger on the PDA browser.

I’ve discovered how to do this for the textbox (by increasing the font size) but this does not work for the checkbox, radio buttons and textarea HTML components.

I have a small test2.html file attached where I have all of these components. I’m looking for an HTML programmer with some CSS knowledge who can figure out how to enlarge the checkbox, radio button and textarea objects.

Note: I want these components enlarged, not just their fonts.

Thank you…

Slightly Modify Components

June 25th, 2009 Comments off

My programming team is using delphi 7. We only need the Clientsocket and serversocket components under the “internet” category modified. A client needs to be able to specify to which number in the server he wants to be connected.

At default, the serversocket uses a listbox and ads new clients to the listbox, in the order they connect. I need the clients to connect to the same spot each time, thus, making the client able to specify to where they want to connect to.

Thank you for looking!

Parsing Data In Joomla

June 25th, 2009 Comments off

We are using some components in Joomla that that register duplicate categories. We would like to add a script that allows all components to be updated from the Joomla category manager. This means that when a new Joomla category is added, the components listed below will have the same category added to ther tables.

Joomla Upgrade And Components

June 23rd, 2009 Comments off

I need to upgrade my joomla GOODTIMESREALTY.COM site from 1.0 – 1.5 along with components, modules, mambots etc. The right person will have already had experience doing this. You need to have reviews to be considered for the job. I would like you to be specific as to how you would go about upgrading joomla and then we will go from there. If you know what you’re doing you know it does not take more then a few hours (and that’s an exaggeration) so if you bid some ridiculous number and say a few days to complete you’ll be wasting my time.

Luxury Portal & Social Network

June 3rd, 2009 Comments off

My client currently has this work been done for him, which he likes the design :

http://platinumlifestyle.co.uk/home.html

So all the hard work has been done,

My client is looking for the following project built from scratch, with no components at all, we will also be needing viral marketing and SEO, and a lot of ongoing work.

To give you an exact break down of what i am looking for,

http://www.Platinumlifestyle.com will be a luxury portal, it will be a global portal and it will have all the same catergories as http://www.luxurylifestyle.com and also however it will be global, so from the homepage it needs to have a selection of a country choice, the site needs to be 10 times better than luxury lifestyle with regards to design, display and speed, so it needs to be custom built in, with no components, so please look at the above sites to have a clearer picture.

The site will have lots of business within it, but to start with it needs to have platinum exclusive, which is lifestyle management and concierge, and also it needs to have a social network as part of the site called big wigs, that has all the same functions as facebook, but invatation only and all the video and photo components, need to be customised as well … to have the platinum brand, not you tube or any other social network software, more like design level from http://www.quintessentially.com but better please join and look, and of course its own CMS.

the only think that you need to bear in mind with this project when you read the business plan, is that he will want BIGWIGS instead of Aura, and also that he will not want platinum vegas , and also platinum reserve, he will want video chat for big wigs, i have also attached a document for big wigs so that will help you understand what he is looking for.

I have choose a company to use, however my client has been let down & is concerned that another cannot build the components from scratch, and also that they cannot give it the design look and feel it needs due to the fact that they have not done anything high end before, so please do not apply for this project if you have a good portfolio to show me, and it is your work … not some one elses,

I have also attached files about the company so you can read before you quote and you have an idea of what exactly the company is about, and you can see the quality, also i have attache the previous company and proposal so that you can see what the project is all about if you can not do this project then please do not apply.

This is a Massive long term project for the right compay with lots of on going work, i want you to quote for me and send me a proposal, please note i am looking for someone to do all of the project, not just parts of it.

I hope this helps, and i look forward to your proposal

AND PLEASE MAKE SURE, WHEN YOU DO YOUR PROPOSAL, THAT YOU SEND ME WORK THAT YOU HAVE DONE BEFORE, : VIDEO CHAT AND CUSTOM BUILT PROJECTS, NOT TEMPLATES OR 3RD PARTY COMPONENTS, AS WE WILL BE REQUESTING REFRENCES FROM THE WORK YOU SHOW BEFORE WE HIRE.

Many thanks
