You will need to provide screenshots of the results.

Also if something doesn’t look right, you need to be able to advise how to fix it.

Script Compatability Issue

February 22nd, 2010 Comments off

I put together an animated menu slider and a jquery content slider. Both work separately, but when I try to combine both on the same page, neither works.

You can see by my non-working page how I want both to fit on the same page. I need someone with more scripting knowledge to find out what the hang up is and fix it.

Menu page: http://www.rubberdevelopment.com/2/pages/rdi_home3.htm
Slider page: http://www.rubberdevelopment.com/2/indexslider.html
non-working home page (what I want): http://www.rubberdevelopment.com/2/pages/rdi_home4.htm

Jquery Compatability Fix

February 19th, 2010 Comments off

I have two jquery plugins that are conflicting, possibly because they require different versions of jquery to run. The plugin in question is Nial Doherty’s “Coda Slider 2.0″, and although it behaved well with other scripts on my local server, once uploaded, it decided to misbehave.

I’m posting this project as a last resort; I simply don’t have the skills to solve this problem, but I’m sure the issue doesn’t require massive amounts of work.

Please only bid on this project if you have a solid understanding of Jquery and WordPress, and are based in the UK or USA.

Css/ie7/compatability

February 16th, 2010 Comments off

My site, DC1freedom.com (Joomla!) works fine in IE8, Safari, Firefox (mac & win), but in IE8 I am having slight layout issues. The things come to mind the most:

1. There is space at the top, right below the header. This can be seen by comparing firefox with IE7.

2. There is also a newsletter signup form near the top that is now rendering right. In fact, you can barely see it.

3. Also, their is something funny about the menu bar. graphically, it does not seem balanced. You can also see this by comparing with FF.

Browser Compatability Issue

I require the following site to be cross-browser compatible, but there is currently a problem in Firefox, which is CSS related (see it in IE to see how it should look)

Fix required by 27th April

NOTE
Only replies specific to the problem please – not general bids with lists of other work and no mention of this project. Such bidders will be excluded from future projects.

Smf Forum Safari Compatability

April 18th, 2009 Comments off

This project has TWO COMPONENTS:

Component 1: Problem with iPhone/Safari text entry

I am looking for a programmer to modify my Simple Machines Forum so that it can accept responses to posts from users of the iPhone Safari browser.

Specifically, when an iPhone user logs in to the SMF Forum using the iPhone/Safari browser, the user can see and read the forums, but is unable to reply to a post because a keyboard will not render when the response box is tapped.

This project requires the programmer to modify the smf forum in such a way that a keyboard renders and text can be input and posted.

Component 2: Problem with Mac/Safari and PC/Safari Quote function

When using Safari for Mac or Safari for PC, users are unable to quote a post. Hitting the “quote” button when trying to respond to a post results in a green “loading” bar message, and the quote never loads.

This project requires the programmer to modify the smf forum in such a way that users of Mac/Safari and PC/Safari can successfully use the “quote” function
