We need a product comparison website 100% similar to shoplocal. We will use Affiliate sites like CJ and LinkShare to populate the Product using Feed data.

We start creating our own site which is almost ready except the comparison features. Its on you to decide, whether you want to build everything from scratch (if you already have product comparison script available) or update our existing script.

Site need to be fully SEO with Clean URLs, DIV based design, META Tags option and a Template system like smarty to modify design as an when needed.

NOTE: No need to work on design. We will integrate design ourself.

Odds Comparison Site- Brief

November 11th, 2009 Comments off

Hi,

I need to create a website similar to http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/atp-shanghai-masters/rafael-nadal-v-tommy-robredo
that shows the odds of various bookmakers for a specific event. This is to test some concepts so it only has to have this functionality and nothing else so its not a large job. For a start, I would like it just to read tennis matches both current and future and the odds that each bookmaker selected are showing (I assume through XML) I can provide the website and the bookmakers required. Need ASAP, doesn’t have to be visually complete but just the functionality of showing the various odds.

thanks

I am not interested in feedback from new people. Please contact me with information as we previously discussed.

They shut down the project so I have started over.

Realtime Price Comparison Site

August 18th, 2009 Comments off

–This is being re-listed due to the large amount of bids that would not have met my requirements. Please do not bid unless you can complete this project as required.–

I’m trying to start a price comparison website, focused on the Republic of Ireland insurance market. Initially, I want to focus on Car insurance, and the site will get quotes from numerous Irish based insurance websites when a user submits their details. I’ve initally set it up to get a quote from one site and it’s developed using PHP and CURL. The site will scrape the other insurance sites initally, and when we have a demo site up and running, I’m going to contact the individual companies to give us access to any available APIs or Web Services. Once the site is up and running, I will then be looking for further services to develop price comparison sections for health, motor bike, home, travel, etc.

I’m a qualified software engineer myself, and planned to complete the website myself, but have had limited time to focus on it technically. The site has been started using PHP and CURL. Check out the draft version at: http://www.pricearound.ie/motor and select a DOB more than 20 years ago, tick the check box and click submit.

There are numerous web-sites that I want to integrate to. Some are listed below. You should be able to integrate to all of these sites.

https://services.hibernian.ie/direct/product/car.htm?_flowId=motor-flow&_flowExecutionKey=e1s1
http://quoteengine.bestquote.ie/motor1.aspx
https://www.insure.ie/car_insurance?new_quote=y&type=private
http://www.123.ie/Motor/quote/get/quote.123?conversationId=43204
https://qquote.quoteexchange.co.uk/qinx.php
http://www.nononsense.ie/
http://www.fbd.ie/
https://car-insurance-quote.aaireland.ie/AA/maindetails.aspx
https://secure.axa.ie/CarInsurance.aspx?busID=2&termsAndConditionsAgreed=true

I have a start page set-up, but this will have to be enhanced to catch more required fields from a user. A user then fills in the form, ticks the terms & assumptions check-box and presses the submit button. In the background, the site goes off and queries each site in real-time to retreive an insurance quote. It’s very important to note that this has to be done in REAL-TIME, a batch or data mining program will not suffice. It’s currently using PHP & CURL, but you may call web-services, AJAX, etc. However, java code cannot be executed on my web server.

I want to keep the user input as small as possible, so each site will probabley require a certain amount of data transformation! For example – some sites expect an age, others expect a date of birth. All website quotes will then be provided to the user in a list format with the company name, logo and quote. If an insurance companies site returns more tha one price, all quotes should be displayed (ie. 3rd Party, 3rd Party F&T and Fully Comp.) Total transaction time may take up to 20-30 seconds. Car Types, Locations, etc will have to be developed and displayed at the front end also. I can provide a list or database insert scripts of these.

Similar existing UK based sites are www.confused.com, www.gocompare.com, etc.

If this is successful, they may be a lot of additional development coming on the horizon.

Just to clarify one issue regarding the project. A lot of people are offering to do scans of the websites, and save them to a database via cron. THIS WILL NOT WORK!

As I mentioned, the winning programmer may also be asked to add further sites in later projects, as-well aas develop quote pages for Home, Bike, Health insurance.

Only serious bids will be entertained, which are accompanied by a detailed explanation of how this is going to be implemented.

All bids must be fixed price, and you should be able to start within the next couple of weeks.

Thanks.

Spec Sheet for Ticket Comparison site

Site Purpose: to be a live entertainment search engine. To create a search engine that collects real time ticket prices from different websites and displays them graphically over dynamic seating maps. we will not be sell tickets directly on onsaletickets.com. Instead, we focus on finding the best price and then refer users to a reputable ticket broker to complete their purchase

There are several main websites that supply tickets and will provide the search results. The different sites should provide an api but if not the data would beed be scraped in real time as the site will be very dynamic.

Ticketsnow.com
Stubhub.com
Seatix.com
Ebay.com
TicketCity.com
RazorGator.com

1. The site is going to be a copy of similar sites like seathound.com and seatkarma.com

There are several key features that I am looking for the site to have.
1. Each venue has multiple events and different events have different maps depending on the event. Seatkarma.com has the maps available for each event at the specific arena.
I searched for George Strait tickets at Reliant stadium
See this example

Ticket Comparison Site

July 18th, 2009 Comments off

I will try to describe the concept for my site as clearly as possible .

The site will compare the prices of major ticketing sites. The site will have to parse and datamine several websites to accomplish this. The sites that will intially be used are :
1.ticketmaster.com 2.livenation.com 3.tickets.com 4.Ticketsnow.com 5.Stubhub.com 6.Razorgator.com 7.ticketnetwork.com

Essentially this will be a google like search engine where people will put in Artist. They will be then given the list of all events for that artist. when they choose the correct date and venue, our website will scan the 7 sites above and provide the results in order of lowest price to highest from all sites. We will provide a link to purchase those tickets (using our affiliate codes etc).

We will have to database all the artists dates and venues. The actual pricing can be pulled in real time. We will need the ability to eventually add sponored listings to each individual event.

This should give you a basic idea but im sure there will be further questions so please feel free to PMB me and we can talk.
