Multiple Choice Answers From Pupils: Php Script

September 6th, 2011 Comments off

Looking for a script to allow school pupils to answer multiple choice questions from a PC and to be monitored live from the teacher’s PC which can also show incoming answers live.

Mechanic.

1) Teacher gives the session a name.

2) Pupils go to a web page on their mobile phone.
- The page says “Connected. Please wait. Click here when told to do ao by your teacher”
- The next page asks for the session name and the pupils name before leading to a page which says “standby for question 1″
- The pupils names are displayed on a separate page accessed by the teacher using the session name so that the teacher can see who has registered.

3) The teacher (verbally) asks the first question and tells the pupils to proceed to the answer screen on their mobile. Pupils tap either “A” “B” “C” or “D” going to a page which says “Thank you. Standby for question 2

Group Lunch Management Service Website/applicaiton 2

August 27th, 2011 Comments off

This project is for the creation of Group4Lunch.com. This will be a fun light-hearted website application that provides office lunch management (like who is going to lunch together and where).

Features
Sends and receives emails to group to help choose where to eat/order lunch each day.
If food is to be ordered in group orders are sent to [[office admin]].
Account management
Pulls restaurant data from map API (Yahoo, Live or Google).

Web Site Design
Main Page
Account Mangement Page
Group Page

User Experience
- Members signup for an account and choose a lunch group.
- At the beginning of each day the application sends an email to each person asking if that person will be having lunch with their group (configurable text).
If the person does not respond to the email, they won’t be included in the followup email.
If the person does respond then they will get an email asking to choose two of three restaurant choices from the database of local restaurants (see restaurants under Account Management). They can respond with either 12, 13, 21, 23, 31, 32, 1, 2, or 3.

(12) This would be First Choice Restaurant 1 – Second Choice Restaurant 2
(13) This would be First Choice Restaurant 1 – Second Choice Restaurant 3
(21) This would be First Choice Restaurant 2 – Second Choice Restaurant 2
(23) This would be First Choice Restaurant 2 – Second Choice Restaurant 2
(31) This would be First Choice Restaurant 3 – Second Choice Restaurant 2
(32) This would be First Choice Restaurant 3 – Second Choice Restaurant 2
(1) This would be Only Choice Restaurant 1
(2) This would be Only Choice Restaurant 2
(3) This would be Only Choice Restaurant 3

In addition, they can type free form text after the numbers with any note they want.
As emails come in the rest of the group can elect to get a copy of the choices along with any notes as they are received by the system.
At a configurable time (default one hour) before the lunch time for the group, the system will calculate which restaurant has the favored restaurant (with link to restaurant website/menu) and email everyone with the choice and list of who has responded.
If the lunch is being ordered in, then this last email can be responded to with free form text so the member can place their order for food with [[the office admin]].

Short Script For A Q & A Form

April 27th, 2011 Comments off

I have a short worksheet that I need converted so the individual can take it online. Here are the details:

- there are nine statements
- each statement has three different choices (i.e. three different kinds of answers) for the ending and the test taker ranks each choice from 1-3 where one is their first choice and three is their last choice
- once complete, you tally the total number of 1′s in each of the three choice columns and the column with the most number of 1′s is the dominant column.
- upon submission, the test taker receives an email with their results

Additional information:

- want to tie the online test form to my database so we can keep track of the answers

For more details please contact me via the PMB.

We have had this type of script created in the past and seemed very quick to create.

Once the project is complete, we will own the rights to the script as well.

Thanks!

Simple Binary Tree Inventory

August 12th, 2009 Comments off

You are to write a program that creates and maintains a binary search tree of items in a super market. Each item has a name and a value. All item names will be lowercase alphabetic strings of less than 30 letters. All values will be positive real numbers representing prices. Also, for each node in the tree, you are to maintain the value of all of the items in that subtree. Your tree should be “sorted” based on alphabetical ordering of the item names as determined by strcmp. Your program must allow the user to do the following:

1) Add an item to the inventory
2) Delete an item from the inventory
3) Print out all of the items in the inventory in alphabetical order.
4) Print out the value of all items underneath the subtree of a given item.

For example, if the user adds these items:

a) “soap”, $2.95
b) “raisins”, $2.00
c) “jellybeans”, $5.00
d) “tea”, $1.95

Input File Specification (inventory.txt)
The first line of the input file will contain a single positive integer, n, representing the number of commands to execute. The following n lines will contain one command each, in the other they are to be executed.

The first number of each of these lines will be either 1, 2, 3 or 4, to signify the choices listed above.

If the choice is 1, it will be followed by the name of the item added and its price (as a number), both separated by spaces.

If the choice is 2, it will be followed by the name of the item to be deleted.

Choice 3 will be on a line by itself.

Choice 4 will be followed by a single string storing an item.

Output Specification
For each command, your program should provide some output.
The output provided by each command should be separated by a blank line.

For choice 1, if the item to be added is NOT in the tree, output a line with the following format:

item has been added to the stock.

where item is the name of the item added. If the item is ALREADY in the tree, output a line with the following format:

Sorry, item is already in stock. No changes made.

For choice 2, if the item to be deleted is IN the tree and is successfully deleted, output a line with the following format:

item has been deleted from the stock.

If the item is NOT in the tree, then output a line with the following format:

Sorry, item couldn’t be deleted because it’s not in stock.

For choice 3, the first line should read:

Here is a list of the items in stock:

Each following line should have information about one item and the list should be in alphabetical order by item name. Here is the format for one of these lines:

item $price

The price should be printed out to two decimal places exactly.

Finally, for choice 4, print out the sum of the values of all the items in the subtree rooted by the designated item. If this item is NOT in the tree, $0.00 should be printed out. Here is the format for the output for this option.

The value of all the items underneath item is $price.

Implementation Restrictions
You must store the data in nodes of a binary tree. Each binary tree node must store 3 pieces of information: the name of the item, its price, and the sum of the prices of all the items in its subtree.

Sample Input File
11
2 soap
1 soap 2.95
1 raisins 2.00
1 jellybeans 5.00
1 tea 1.95
4 raisins
3
2 raisins
4 soap
4 cereal
1 soap 3.50

Sample Output
Sorry, soap couldn’t be deleted because it’s not in stock.

soap has been added to the stock.

raisins has been added to the stock.

jellybeans has been added to the stock.

tea has been added to the stock.

The value of all the items underneath raisins is $7.00.

Here is a list of the items in stock:
jellybeans $5.00
raisins $2.00
soap $2.95
tea $1.95

raisins has been deleted from the stock.

The value of all the items underneath soap is $9.90.

The value of all the items underneath cereal is $0.00.

Sorry, soap is already in stock. No changes made.

Image Generator Price & Viart

July 30th, 2009 Comments off

Project Brief

A Visitor visits website and decides to order an image.

They add the text decide on the font from a drop down list and colour. They decide whether they want a 3 d shadow effect click on either a calculate button or auto updates with prices. An option is also available if they want to add an image only available from either a drop down list or other method and they can move it in there image where they like.

If visitor decides to buy they click on add to cart and all of the info is captured and transferred into a Viart shopping Cart Product so when I get the order I know what the customer wants in reference to the image ordered. Each order will also have a custom id number and the image is saved on my hosting account named as per the custom id number.

Behind the Scenes

I need a php script that generates an image with the website user adding:

Text
Size of the image they want in mm or inches
Colour of the font
choice of 3 d shadow inc gaps etc
3 D Shadow Colour

etc

There also needs an option whether to show the text proportional with the chosen font going by the width and ignoring the height input by the user or just sizes added by the website visitor where if its not proportional it shows its not just like working in Photoshop.

There also needs an ability to show a 3d effect facing either up down left or right etc with a choice of how much gap between font and shadow and colour choice of shadow.

There also needs to be an option to show actual size which will show only a magnified portion of the image text since it will not fit on the screen if for example the image is 500mm in width x 150mm.

This will also need to be able to calculate a price depending on the size chosen.

THe price qoute needs to be calculated using different price points.

Length x width is calculated then if between .01 and .04 charge $460

.05 x .09 charge $250
.10 to .20 charge $210
.21 to .36 charge $180
.37 to .56 charge $150
.57 and over charge $130

A percentage charge must also be coded so if they choose a 3d shadow they get charged an extra fee in % of overall price. % fee will be added in the settings script.

The way the calculations need to work is if an image is 300mm x 75mm this equates to 0.225 which case the script would multiple 0.225 x $207 which would give a total price of $46.57. If the option of shadow is added and its setup at %10 via the settings script then the total price would show teh overall price ($46.57 + 10%)

All of these settings chosen by the web user needs to be added into a viart product with all options exactly as typed and chosen by the website user in the product order. These include sizes, font colour, font types etc

In the setup admin or settings of the php script I need to be able to:

Choose HTML code for the colours of the text and font and the ability to add 1 or 50 colours and all colours setup as Colour #1, Colour #2 etc, change prices and so on.

The script will need to show particular fonts from a folder on the hosting package and displayed as Font 1 Font 2 etc automatically and added as Font 1 or 2 into the Viart product.

I will also need to be able to set this up in mm or inches and all calculations need to work anyway set bia the setting sor admin script.

An option whether to disable the 3 d shadow effect is also a must and if disabled must not be visible.

I need something simple, not confusing and on one page so as soon as a change is made its visible.

This is a simple job for someone familiar with php image creation and calculations and viart.

Basically to avoid confusion this works in 2 parts.

Part 1 is the script where someone can create an image with font colour shadow effect options etc. Once the webuser is happy they click on a button and price is either generated or generated as data is added with each bit of data eg fonts, colours, 3d shadow type, text, sizes etc

Part 2 is when the order button is cliked the data in part 1 is transferred to a product setup in Viart. IN Viart you can create custom text boxes for a product and the transfer would take place from 1 text box of the script to a custom text box in the viart product.

Project is to be done in PHP and would prefer to limit the use of client side scripting such as javascript.

Inventory.c

Project due to me by 6 p.m. EST US time on Jul-22-09.
You are to write a C program that creates and maintains a binary search tree of items in a super market.

Flash Web App

July 10th, 2009 Comments off

Web application for sea angling site. The app should be something like 600 wide by 800 high (Estimate). The web app will embed into my site. The web app should have a link back to my site on every page. It should be embedable into any other site and have the embed code visible on the app ( A bit like how you tube allow you to embed the videos in your site). Link back to my site should be search engine friendly.

Page one is a welcome page with enter button. This page will display a picture and some nice text designed by you.

Once into the web app each page has a picture and a set of choices the user is presented with choices based on questions. Depenedent on answers provided the user is guided to another choice page and then a final page where they are given the information they are after.

First choice page has 3 choices leading to 3 more pages of choices.

Next level choice pages (3 of them) has 5 choices on each (So thats roughly 15 choices)

Next level pages (15 pages)Gives a picture and gives the information the user is seeking.

Each level should have a back button.

Lead Form

June 12th, 2009 Comments off

I am looking for someone to program a PHP/AJAX/JS lead form for me. I need it pretty specific and be able to output into a CSV file and also have the choice to email the output real time (so I want to be able to have the choice for it to output the fields into a CSV file or change it so I can have it output into an email and email it to an email address of my choice with the filled out fields shown).

What I need is the user to enter a zip code – then it would take them (preferably via AJAX so there’s no screen refresh) to another part of the form where it displays the CITY and STATE for the zip code they entered – and then it will show contact information fields (name, address, phone, email, “type of project you’re interested in”, etc.) and then it will say Thanks for your submission – A local contractor in (whatever city and state for the zip code they entered in) will be calling you within 24-48 hours, etc… You need to have or find a database to use that will have all the zip codes match the city and state (I don’t have this)

Multiple Choice Test Script

June 9th, 2009 Comments off

Upon loading a page, a student will see…

- A test with a title eg. “Test on electronics – level 1″

- A box for their name

- A list of ten questions, each with four answers (labelled A, B, C, D).. onlu one of these will be correct for each question.

The student fills in their name and then checks agains the answers they believe to be correct.

The then hit “submit”.

The answers are checked and a fresh page loaded.

* If ALL answers are correct, the student sees “congratulations! All correct”
* If any answers are wrong, the student sees “You have scored 8 out of 10. Please hit ‘back’ to change 2 answers.”

Once they have all ten correct, the following is written to an html file (for browsing by the teacher.. me!)…

* student name – test title

The HTML file will get bigger to include more names and titles as more tests are completed. There is only one HTML file.

* Questions and answers are to be stored in the script.. not in a database please.

Thank you

Need Database From Other Site

April 3rd, 2009 Comments off

I need a database from another site & I dont have the database file or anything as it isn’t my site. But I am wanting to install the database seen on this website on my flowers website. Basically I have a website that sells flowers, I am wanting to install this database on my site so people can get the phone number and address of the funeral home of their choice without them having to leave my site as that is the case now.

The database I want is from this site seen here:
http://www.localflowershop.com/funeral-homes/index.cfm

If you look on that site you will see a search box called

“Find A Local Funeral Home In”

I am wanting all the database and information from that database installed on my flower website, I want them to stay on my website the entire time without leaving my site.

When you search for the funeral home of your choice it shows you all of the funeral homes in the local area as seen here:

http://www.localflowershop.com/funeral-homes/TX/Atascocita.cfm

When they click the funeral home of their choice, I would like a page just like this:

http://www.localflowershop.com/floristDetails.cfm?floID=164628

This shows a flower shop here, but instead I want the funeral home name they selected to show up with a map like that to the funeral home. Instead of the links seen on that page that says “visit website” or “send email” I would just like a link from that page to my homepage so they can go order flowers from my site…I dont want them to leave my site, basically this will allow them just to get the funeral homes address and phone number if they need it.

Design Affiliate Tools

March 30th, 2009 Comments off

WE NEED MARKETING TOOLS DESIGNED FOR OUR AFFILIATES:

We have a website that specializes in selling rare, classic Soul and R&B music on CDs. In order to sell more CDs in our online CD store we are starting an Affiliate Program for our Soul music website and will be recruiting affiliates shortly.

We therefore need a freelancer who is both a Web/Graphic Designer and understands sales and marketing to create these marketing tools for our Affiliates.

As I said; we need to create marketing materials for our Affiliates to use when they login to their affiliate control panel. Below are the 7 marketing tools we need to have created/designed and uploaded to our Affiliates control panel.

1. Banners
2. Page Peels
3. Lightboxes
4. Text Ads
5. HTML Ads/Landing Pages
6. Email Links
7. Email Templates

There are already default samples of all the above marketing tools in the Affiliate control panel, they all just have to be customised with our images and text messages. We will need about 3 to 4 of each marketing tool. Therefore Afiliates will have a choice of Banners, a choice of Page Peels, a choice of Text Messages etc, etc.

We will supply you with the images that we want you to use with these Affiliate marketing tools.

You can see our main website here: http://www.raresoulgrooves.com

We have a budget of $100 – $300 for this project.

We look forward to working with you on this project.

Iphone Skinable Trivia App

March 17th, 2009 No comments

Seeking lead designer for an apple iphone application trivia based game. 3 rounds. All questions time based so visible decreasing time bar along the bottom. No difficulty levels (1 pool of questions to randomly draw from). Always only 1 correct answer from 4 options.
1) Text Multiple Choice – A, B, C, D choices on each question.
2) Revealing Image – animated graphic revealing more of image as time goes by with 4 multi choice (ABCD) options at bottom of screen to choose. (2 points if guessed within 10 seconds, 1 point if guessed within 20 seconds. 0 points if incorrect or time runs out).
3) Audio Clip based question. Player sees staticscreen while hearing a 10 second audio clip and then must choose multiple choice (A,B,C,D) for correct answer.
End total score screen.

We will design the graphics and supply the questions (in database format of your choice) but need the code written as template to roll out various themed quiz titles.

In addition would require A lite version that has less questions and an ad screen mentioning the full version.

Needs to be a high-score table (10 slots), the user will be asked to enter their name when the game ends. This is just like high-scores in classic arcade games, using the iPhone soft keyboard.
* When the user touches an answer-choice or UI button, a white oval appears around it.
* When an answer is selected (the user lifts their finger while it is still in the area ‘enclosed’ by the answer), an overlay (saying correct or incorrect) will appear and a sound will play indicating whether it was correct or incorrect.
* Current score and currect question number will be displayed on the bottom overlay.
